60 State Park at Inn at Morro Bay
Super nice staff... a little unorganized, wasn’t waited in immediately, but compensated our bill.
Great food, beautiful view, attentive service. Would go back again
The restaurant was not staffed efficiently. There were gaps in the service. The waitress brought us a bread basket but no plates so we could serve ourselves. We waited and waited and then finally one of us got up and asked for them. There was long gaps again after receiving our food and then the waitress realized she had never brought us our check. She was either overwhelmed or under trained.
The noise level was high for dining and the guitar and bongo music was too loud for easy listening. I had brought out of town relatives there for dinner. Was disappointed...has management changed? The food quality was good.
On a Tuesday evening, not crowded; wonderful view of the water and the birds. Food was tasty and quickly delivered. Service was lively. AND they do have binoculars to look for a otter or bird nest.
Slow on getting service. Food was okay. My chilaqules were terrible. The only thing that was good were my daughters pancakes.
Great location - beautiful view of Morro Rock and Estero Bay. Breakfast Food is ok and service is slightly above average.
The view was great! Slow service-we has three different waiters. I had calamari and clam chowder-the calamari tasted like deep fried cardboard and the soup was definitely from a can. I sent the calamari back. They did reduce the price $12.00 from our bill.
Great food, great service, beautiful views but really noisy when restaurant is full.
We were seated promptly and left at the table without any further contact other than our waitress walked by once and said I’ll be right with you but continued to ignore us for sometime. Finally we got the attention of the manager and she did everything she could to make up for that. These young kids that work in places like this and don’t care about their job is very unfortunate because they have a very talented chef in the house, very nice music, incredible views, beautiful grounds. The scallops with risotto cakes are amazing
Nice setting, great view, & service. Best scallops I have had in years. A minor nit, the clam chowder was underwhelming. Wife’s salmon was very good. Certainly will be back.
Peter was great, gave us a wonderful table overlooking the bay. Mo our server was very attentive and has an exciting personality. And our meal was superb.
Wonderful view! Great food. Loved the Salmon sandwich. Very pleasant server
My husband and I hadn’t been to this restaurant in quite some time so decided to go. We had gin and tonic’s which were really good and I had a Glass of albino. We ended up having hors d’oeuvres and soup and salad. We had the clam chowder and it was OK but not as good as some other places. We had coconut shrimp which I loved I wish there was even more but we shared. Beautiful place to look out and watch the sunset. I definitely recommend for happy hour because a lot of the hors d’oeuvres are half price and the drinks are less expensive.
Our experience began very nicely. And it wasn't overall that bad. The server was attentive. There were no many other customers in the place.
We had finished our meals and bottle of wine and were ready for dessert. We had to go and find the server. When the waitperson told us the dessert options, one person in our group can't have fruit. She did not mention that the molten cake came with a great deal of fruit. She described in at length and didn't mention fruit. It arrived loaded with fruit.
When we mentioned it she became very frustrated and said "sorry" and walked off. From then on it was difficult to get her attention. She finally came and picked up the check and credit card without even acknowledging us. She essentially gave up.
I tipped her 20% anyway because that's what I do but her affect at the end was disappointing.
I come to Morro Bay on business many times per year and this was my first time at 60 State Park. I had two business associates with me. You were recommended by locals and the experience was less than what I was hoping for.
Reservations were easy, food was good. Service was excellent and this restaurant has fabulous views of the bay, the rock, and birds, seals, and otter. I will definitely go back.
Amazing Food, Excellent Service, Great Atmosphere
We’re locals from SLO who are frequent diners in our town but wanted to venture out. We have overall been excited to enjoy the beautiful view this restaurant offers. Valentine’s Day was decided to be a great time to try this place out. We waited 20 long minutes while taking in the beautiful view when eventually the manager came be to see how we were doing. Shortly after he realized we haven’t been greeted, he notified our server and our drink order was taken. Both of our medium ordered fillet mignons were nearly well done, with only a small touch of pink but the cocktails were absolutely wonderful. Not sure if it was just a busy Valentine’s Day for them but the view and ambiance was very nice.
20 year anniversary
We made reservations for 5 at 5 o'clock and were initially seated in the bar, which was fine and has a great view. We asked to be moved into the dining room after appetizers and drinks because the noise level was increasing and there was a solo guitarist also. No problem. It was quieter in the dining room and the food and service was great.
Sitting on the deck overlooking the bay with birds sunning in the trees and mast-tops made for an incredible breakfast experience while touring the California coast. Basic breakfasts were good, and the crab hash was a delicious surprise. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant provided good quality binoculars to get closer to our view. We stopped by the nearby natural history museum afterwards for some unusually good displays ($3/person).
We spent our time while waiting for our food watching Morro Rock and the birds nestling in the nearby trees. It was lovely! The food was spot-on and my wife, who is a finicky eater, loved every morsel.
Only good thing to say about our experience was that the view was great and wait staff very friendly.
Dinner was served with icy cold sides and warm meat.
Bread pudding dessert was TOUGH!
For what we got it was an outrageous price.
Breakfast room was FREEZING cold.
Do not intend to return.
Always good food and service. Great location! Never had a bad visit.
Good experience for Xmas dinnner! Staff was very nice food portions were huge .
Overpriced for poor quality food. Very disappointed!
Our server "Jodie" was outstanding! The meal was a very high quality,
prime rib portion generous, and dessert (Cranberry bread pudding)
divine! Would recommend and come back again soon.
We had the preset Christmas Day dinner and I was thoroughly disgusted with the entire meal. I've eaten here a couple of times before and the food was fairly good, not great. The view is great, the staff was friendly, our waitress gave a 2 star performance at best and the food was horrible. At $285 for 4 people I expect far better. There is nothing I can recommend about this restaurant other than the view.
We made reservations thinking that it would be a great place for Christmas Eve Dinner. We used to go there every year about ten years back. What a let down. No holiday decorations. White table cloths and great service from years ago were replaced with over priced pub food with poor presentation. It used to be a great spot for the holidays. Bummer $200 for pub food...
We had a wonderful experience. Wonderful food, beautiful setting & ambiance. Great wait staff.
Great food and a great view. The staff was friendly and polite. The view is beautiful and it made for a wonderful family dinner. It was just a little cold by the window and service was just a little slow so four stars out of five from us. Would definitely one again and recommend, just bring a sweater ;-)
Spectacular View! We were the only ones there and we seemed to overwhelm the kitchen and staff. The wait staff tried very hard to please and did a good job but the meals came out at different times so we ate in shifts since the food served first was getting cold. My request for a medium-well done poached egg on my eggs benedict was ignored and the eggs were undercooked with very runny whites. The nuts served with the oatmeal were cocktail nuts from the bar. The coffee was cold but the waitress was very good at taking back our cups and bringing back some hot coffee. A beautiful place to eat but one must be patient and keep their sense of humor regarding all of the things that go wrong.
we spent thanksgiving dinner here. It was well organized and we were seated on time which I didn't think was possible on a busy day. The food was tasty but could have been hotter. I will give them a break as it was the busiest day for them. I would definitely return to have lunch or dinner. we liked their bar and view/area.
I have been to this restaurant previously and liked it a lot so I planned a trip there with my family for Thanksgiving. There were seven of us and in a room with two other tables. There was a set menu and the food was okay, nothing spectacular. All three desserts were not very good. The service was terrible. We were the second table to be seated in the room and the third table came after about a half an hour. We had a different waiter than the other two tables. Both tables finished way before we did. I had to ask for our waiter twice and we had to wait at least a half an hour for our main meal plates to be removed from the table. This was after I asked for the waiter twice. Then we had to wait again for the check. We finally got it when we got up to leave the restaurant. Many people in our party would not go to the restaurant again.
Used Open Table to make reservations a week before our group birthday dinner. Love the convinience of this. The food and wine were delicious. They were really accommodating for my friends food and latex allergies.
This place is located across one of Morro Bay's excellent golf courses. The happy hour menu is enticing coupled with a very good music and superb ambiance. A comfy place to hang out after a good round of golf.
Waitress did a good job, only problem she was the one working outside and inside. Needless to say the more people that came in the less service we got. You definitely need more than one wait person on Sundays. People were also waiting to be seated. Ridiculous!!!! Food was good. We will be back, cannot beat the view.
Great view during daylight hours. Had two very nice dinners indoors and two breakfasts on the open porch. A very peaceful place where you can also watch some wildlife.
Amazing sunset view with a diverse menu. Lots of heaters for outdoor seating
We had a group of 8 and the evening was a success. Most of the food choices were enjoyed. The calamari was not good. Too much fried batter, not enough calamari.
