5th Tavern - Clarkston
Shrimp, scallops, salmon and tomatoes tossed in a garlic cream sauce
Rack-cut chops marinated in our special blend of herbs and seasonings then grilled to temperature
We both ordered the prime rib special. Food came very quickly. Potatoes for both were cold. Our server brought new hot ones within a couple of minutes. Prime rib was very tasty. Desert tray was fabulous; wine selection very decent.
Yes, will be going back again given their diverse menu.
Food was very good. My husband said it was the best prime rib he has had in ages. Server spoke way too fast and quietly
You need better ventilation. Was very smokey (I’m assuming from the “rok’s” nearby) and hot. Food was good but for dessert, the waitress should inform people of how large the desserts are, that they’re easily a 2 person (and more) dessert. Very disappointed in that.
Consistently great food. Super loud and super busy. Our server did a great job considering how busy it was Friday evening. But we have come to expect that this is a busy place due to the great food and service.
It was busy there...
Table took a bit longer than expected for 2 but...
The food was great and the service was on par too...
It was a nice evening out...
Food, service, wait time with reservation were all great! Our orders came to our table very quickly and were presented beautifully. It was a busy Friday night and was extremely loud some acoustic panels in the ceiling would help to dampen the noise level. We were seated at a table near the restroom and found it strange that people were standing near us seemingly waiting for a table or the party room. It felt as if they were hovering over us and conversing loudly. So, that part was not enjoyable. Eventually they were seated and we could enjoy our meals. Our server, Kristen, was fantastic.
The food was great and everything was wonderful in terms of service, but it was packed and the volume was very, very loud. However, that's just the kind of place it is, and is great for loud events like birthdays and other get togethers.
I do wish the tables were spaced just a bit further apart. I was the only one wearing a mask until my food arrived, and that includes all staff.
Food was terrible, noise was loud and not in a fun way, terrible acoustics. At no time would I recommend or go back. Literally any other place would be better. You can either believe me or not, however, remember you have been warned. Stay away.
Wednesday is half off a bottle of wine and they have a pretty good selection and with half off - it is a very good deal
Our first time at a 5th tavern and we were pleased with our experience. Our waitress helped us pick drinks which we both really enjoyed!
First time dining at this establishment. Made a reservation online since it was a weekend evening. Table was ready when we arrived. We were sat and asked for a drink order before we had a chance to look at the menu, so waters to start. A second waiter arrived, replacing the first, who appeared to be occupied with a large group. Placed our order. I was amazed how fast our salads arrived. We hadn't finished our salads and the entrees arrived. Complaining about fast service? No, however, combined with the fact that a busser was very quick to remove our "finished" plates, and while I was waiting for my wife to finish her glass of wine the busser took my water glass, we felt like we were being pushed out. I realize that turning tables is the key to survival but boy, I've never felt the boot in the butt quite so firmly. Hey, the food was great and the service was... well, fast. I'll come back. Don't come for a relaxing experience, at least not on a weekend.
really good food and great happy hour specials. half off beer from 3 - 6pm
Server was spectacular. Everyone wished us Happy Anniversary and gave us free dessert to go to celebrate. Delicious food
After sitting at the table for about 15 minutes to be waited, we ordered the boneless chicken wings for an appetizer. They were served raw (not just undercooked, fully pink/translucent RAW). So, we sent them back. Instead of making fresh, they put the wings back into the deep fryer. They came back almost black with sauce put on them to cover up. As soon as I spoke, the waitress said, "Those aren't good. Yeah, I asked the cook if I should take them out and he said to serve them." I told her this was unacceptable and I wanted to see a manager. A woman came over and said they shouldn't have been served and she would have them remade and taken off the bill and she would tell the owner who was there.
I've owned a restaurant. I've cooked, I've hired and trained staff and, especially, cooks. If one of my managers came and showed me what I saw last night, I would have been to that paying customer's table within five minutes. The first four minutes would be finding out why my cook did such a thing and, if it was a repeat situation, he'd be gone after that shift. This is not a high-end kitchen with a "chef", mind you.
No owner bothered to come to the table. The replacement wings were served after the entree and this turned out to be a terrible date night because of it. BTW- this is not the first bad experience we've had here. The service is nice but very slow and overwhelmed.
This was our first time here. The food was really good, however, the noise level was awful! It is so loud you can’t hear people talking at your own table. Unfortunately, this will make us think twice about coming back. Not a great place to go with a group of friends if you want to “catch up” over dinner.
Food was excellent, caught happy hour..
Service, employees, all were very good
Great experience, will be back !
Awesome food and service. Prices are reasonable.
Drinks and apps were fantastic! Dinner was good. The veggies were hard and could have been cooked longer but that’s only complaint. I’ll be back!
Long wait for our table. Great waitress but drinks came with dinner so bar must have been backed up. Delicious French onion soup. Generous portions. Fun to see how the Clarkston location was as we usually go to 5th Tavern in Bloomfield.
Attentive service and a wide variety of drinks and menu items. Noise level was uncomfortable in the main dining area (window seat around from hostess stand) with mid 70's era rock. Not that I don't enjoy Ronnie Montrose but it was a mismatch for this lunch crowd.
Second Time here. Amazing service with Alyssa! Better than our first experience! Everything was actually perfect! Will be back!
Excellent food and service ! Brought new friends, they”ll be back !
It was fantastic!
it was so good! food was perfect and didn't take long at all!
Great food, lots of variety, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Service was great, thanks David! They even got us out of there on a busy Friday night in time for the concert. We'll be back.
Enjoyed the Chipotle BBQ burger, cooked perfectly to my liking. Very tasty. The menu offers a great selection of different items all at reasonable prices, and our server (Shirley) was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was busy but not noisy, allowing for a casual business lunch conversation.
Very professional and attentive waiting services. David has to be if not the best waiter in the business.
Jessie was a wonderful server!!
It was a night out with my Mom. I looked forward all week to having the lamb chops and they were out at 6pm Friday. The front desk greeters were very stressed and shown it. They were short wait staff, which I understand. Food was okay, I was missing part of my dinner but our waiter was new and trying his best so I didn't say anything. It took a half hour to get a drink.. I will try again sometime.
Average food and beer selection is nothing to write about.
Great place for a group! Will be going back for their awesome happy hour!
Excellent and quick service, good food, great desserts. Beautiful outdoor dining area. Will definitely come back.
Our waitress was very attentive and prompt about getting us drinks , refills in water and personable
We will be back
I heard great things about this place. We drove 45 minutes to get there and we definitely enjoyed it.
Our server was great. She was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The Sunday buffet had many delicious choices and personalized food stations. We will be back!
We went there after golfing in Clarkston . It was our 27th wedding anniversary and picked it as it had a huge variety of dinner options.Service was great, ambience was loud and the worse perch dinner I ever had. Vegetables undercook and perch was fishy and just not much to the filets. French fries were awesome… oh well you just never know!
Jenna was excellent!!
Love eating outside!
