Amazing as always
Everything was amazing highly recommend Brianna as a server the food was excellent and the design of the building was gorgeous.
We’ve been to this restaurant before but they’ve always been fantastic. Wonderful dinner, great staff
Beautiful church converted into a restaurant. The food was amazing. It was layers of flavors in my mouth. I would recommend making reservations and enjoy. Great place for a date or special ocassion.
The food, service and ambience was amazing. I asked the waitress for recommendations and she delivered! Definitely a special place I would love to visit again soon!
This service was above & beyond. The atmosphere incredible, and the food and cocktails... fantastic! My husband and I came across 5Church on Open Table while looking for a brunch reservation availability during our visit to Charleston. From the moment we entered to the moment we exited we had a deliciously fabulous time. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary that week, and the entire staff at 5Church made us feel special. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend!! Great food, beautiful place, amazing mimosa flight :)
Made reservations for brunch and were NOT disappointed! Ambiance was fantastic and the food and service were great
I live in Charlotte where we love 5 church. Decided to give the one in Charleston a try even though in high traffic tourist area. We decided to try Brunch. First off my order was wrong but I went with it. The 2 eggs over medium. Bacon. Grits. Biscuit. Eggs were very runny not cooked well. Bacon was good but just bacon. Grist were so runny with a weird consistency and they gave me only a fork. The biscuit was delicious however no jelly or honey that could hv been an added touch. Tables were dirty. Wait staff were dirty with stained clothes just much different than Charlotte with pressed clothes etc. I ordered a blood Mary it was ok. I also ordered coffee which came on a tray with jelly belly’s which is odd to put in coffee? It was that sweet I was looking for however since there was no jelly etc. I won’t go back. Was very disappointed and there are far better brunch places in Charleston. I will continue however to dine at 5 church in Charlotte
I loved this place! Beautiful, peaceful, energetic, great drinks, friendly & amazing service. We had 2 great drinks and dessert, which was excellent. This converted church has to be seen to enjoy the vibe. Very convenient and centrally located as well. Our server was the best. The hostess was the sweetest hostess we encountered on our trip, as well.
I had higher expectations for this restaurant than they delivered, as well they were out of a few items. The wine my wife ordered was out and one of the regular menu items, a braided pasta dish, was also out, both of which we found out after we had ordered them. My wife and I both had the halibut, which was overdone, with the edges crispy and unable to eat. Service was adequate, with several delays to replenish alcohol beverages.
What an AMAZING experience! My wife and I enjoyed 5Church Charleston for the first time to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. We actually cancelled a reservation at another restaurant because we were reminded of this one. WE WERE SO HAPPY WE DID!!!
There isn't another restaurant in Charleston that competes with the ambience. No competition! The food and service (Jane and the team) were impeccable.
Our evening was wonderfully unforgettable!!
Cool place in an old church. Great location next to the market and all the carriage ride stables. We were all happy with brunch and the portions were great. We will be back.
The restaurant was very huge and decorative. The service was great! I didn't have to wait to be seated once I arrived for my reservation. The sausage egg & cheese biscuit and potatoes from the brunch menu was very delicious and tasty! The pre-meal glazed biscuits were scrumptious also! Will definitely be visiting again to try the dinner menu.
The food wasn’t that impression. Husband ordered the pork chop and it was dry. His meal was too salty. I ordered the ravioli, it was okay. Kind of a small portion. Good sauce though. Just expected more for the prices, was left disappointed.
Amazing amazing amazing
Took our granddaughter for her 18th birthday. A perfect place for special events. Limited selection, but food was outstanding.
Apparently they ‘allow’ vaping in the restaurant despite COVID etc. such a disappointment!!
I've dined here several times and this one was disappointing. Menu options were limited and to be fair this may be Covid related. Service was not very remarkable and we felt rushed especially toward the end of our meal.
Very cool place with really good atmosphere. Good was amazing.
Food was impeccable and abundant. Well crafted dishes and interesting, diverse menu. Waiter was personable, knowledgeable and attentive.
The restaurant decor is a Wow! Inside an old church and the ceiling has handwritten words from The Art of War. Must see!
The starters were much better than the main entrees. The sushi tots and ramen were amazing and very filling. The main dishes of fried chicken and ravioli were just okay and not worth the price, in my opinion.
5 Church never disappoints. Definite recommend. Hands Down!
The meal at 5church was delicious but also very salty.
This was the best dining experience I have ever had. The food was out of this world. We started with the Ramen, had fried chicken for dinner, and finished with espresso and the brownie cake. The cocktails were fantastic as well, doing a perfect job of enhancing the liquor instead of burying it in sugar like a lot of restaurants tend to do. There really is something for everyone here. The wait staff were SO friendly and went out of their way to make my fiancé and I's anniversary dinner special. The restaurant itself is very modern and has great aesthetic for anything from a birthday celebration to an anniversary. I can't recommend this place enough.
Overpriced all around. Our server did not check back in with us and my steak was rare on top, but then medium well in the middle and bottom. It was almost as if they didn’t flip it while cooking. I also ordered a $98 red wine and it wasn’t decanted. I had to ask for it to be. The service and food certainly did not justify the price. The ambiance was amazing however!
Great food & great service. This is a MUST DO item while in Charleston.
We love the restaurant. The location is great, The Food was good, the service was excellent. Can't wait to return.
We had a great meal and our server, Emily - whom we’ve had before, was outstanding. We requested the private, outside table at the front of the restaurant which is nice and is secluded from the rest of the otherwise VERY noisy restaurant. We sat on the back patio last time we ate there for that same reason.
There are a lot of great restaurants in Charleston but this one is awesome. The ambiance of the old church is beautiful, as is the bar and the ceiling. More importantly the food is amazing and the service is fantastic. Very highly recommend!
The food and service were great, but I didn’t feel the restaurant it taking covid precautions. Tables were very close together (definitely not 6 feet) and our waiter kept lowering her mask to talk to us. If you have any concerns with being close to others during covid, I would recommend skipping this spot. Outside of covid, I would love to go back!
This restaurant was an awesome experience! The environment is so fun and interesting. Our waiter took great care of us!
The servers were amazing . Food was delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. It’s has a very selective menu. The food choices were so good. I would highly recommend .
We were seated in the annex room, next to the small porch when it was in use. Not worth it.
The food was fantastic, the server was great. Food was slightly overpriced but this is expected with the location.
Horrible service and food was served burned. The manager claimed the dish was supposed to be served that way, though the menu didn’t reflect that. The rest of the meal was subpar at best. It was clear that they get negative feedback from their customers regularly, as it truly didn’t seem to bother them. Definitely a tourist trap. From a
local’s perspective: Save your money and go elsewhere.
Food, atmosphere, service, everything was great! We were seated in the room off to the side and I wish that we could have sat in the main room because that is what I, and our group, were expecting, but overall everything was amazing!
Nice atmosphere. Crowded. Food was expensive for quality. Had fish... not very tasty. Would not return.
