Amazing ambiance, excellent food. We happened to be there for restaurant week and got a great deal on a 3 course dinner. The server was great and we had a great dinner in a beautiful space.
We absolutely loved the ambiance and the beautiful architecture of the building. It was a great place to get together for drinks. The mimosa flight was delish and the carafe was a great value! The only thing they missed 5 stars was on was the food. I ordered the porkbelly eggs Benedict and well there was no porkbelly! They had to remake my order which didn’t take a long time but everyone else already had their food. My friend ordered the lamb burger which is supposed to come on brioche but it did not look or taste like brioche it was just a sesame bun. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we’ll be back!
Fun atmosphere & good food!
Awesome food in a beautiful setting. Brunch was awesome.
We had a great experience all around here. The service and food was wonderful! Such a cool atmosphere. Our server, Kenny, was phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Server and food were awesome!
Presley was awesome! Made my birthday an incredible night!
Awesome spot for dinner. Loved the environment. Our waitress was great with recommendations. I definitely want to go back!
Delicious food with impeccable service!
Our server Ryan was exceptional! The food was excellent!
Very good food and drinks. Great ambiance! Perfect for a date or meal with friends.
Friends in from out of town. Would def go again but waited on our reserved table 20 mins past the reservation and bar was closed for special occasion but food was awesome. Service was understaffed but food made up for it!
We were disappointed that the main dining room was closed for a private event and we were put in a crowded side room. We should have had the opportunity to choose whether to come or reschedule for another evening. We had had our reservation for several weeks, and we were very disappointed. Recommend with reservation.
We went for my mother’s birthday during Restaurant Week, and we couldn’t have found a better place! Our server was amiable and excellent at his job.
The whole restaurant is in a church, and the room ambiance and noise level were perfect for dining. My favorite detail was the vaulted ceiling if the church, which had the entirety of The Art of War written on them!
The food exceeded my already high expectations. They had an excellent Restaurant Week menu with optional wine pairings with each course. My favorite starter was the Sushi Tots, and my favorite entree was the Poke Bowl. My whole family loved what they got, and we all were surprised at how much cheaper the dishes were to other high-end Downtown Charleston restaurants
I recommend everyone try out 5Church sooner rather than later. We will certainly be returning!
A night out with 8 friends. Took advantage of restaurant week. A fun evening, great food and a super server ( Adam ).
The hostess was not very welcoming. There was no enthusiasm in her greeting. We did have a reservation. Our server was friendly but not paying attention. He ordered wrong items—- never checked to see if everything was okay. The manger was very nice and stopped by the table. The restaurant is very pretty. Lots of help but no one really working. Help seemed to be at their own private party and we were the intruders.
Food was good but not great! Lamb burger highly recommended but just ok.
Fun to check it out but don’t need to hurry back.
5Church is an excellent dining experience. Excellent food, great atmosphere and above average service. I personally recommend the NY Strip. Probably one of the top 2 or 3 steaks I have ever had. Highly recommend!
Delicious lunch and great service! Kenneth was wonderful with his suggestions and humor. And the interior is spectacular!
Service was slow in between courses. Felt like it was the kitchen, not the wait staff. Very cool atmosphere!
Wonderful! Every single time!
Would have been 5 stars but did not honor restaurant week menu after I called to confirm it was still available.
Great place to visit when you're visiting Charleston.
We have been to 5Church for Brunch a couple of times and it is Incredible! The Mimosa flight is fun to try and The Huevos Rancheros is my favorite thing on the menu!
We had a wonderful experience at brunch at 5Church. Our server, Ian, was attentive and helpful. He recommended the chicken sandwich and the pork belly Benedict, both of which were incredible! Highly recommend.
Food was incredible. Ambiance was amazing. Loved this place!
Amazing experience over all! Food, service and ambience was everything! Great music too
Cool building with old church vibe. Terribly loud. Terrible service from our waiter. Water is warm and empty glasses were ignored. Had to ask for silverware. I had swordfish. Bland looking plate, everything was monochromatic. Food was bland, too. Restaurant is a gimmick due to the architecture. Would never return for the food. Chef is from a tv show but I don’t know if he was working that night. No chef came to our table, or anyone’s for that matter, during our 1+ hour visit.
Extremely loud. We were seated at a two top with just inches from the next two top table. The server had three two tops seated within minutes of each other. We waited longer than you should have to wait just to get our beverages due to this. Too many good restaurants in Charleston to spend hard earned money here.
Fried chicken was delicious!
We arrived prior to our reservation and ended up waiting later than our reservation time by about 10-15 minutes. After being seated it was the waiter that made the evening the best experience. Sam, the waiter was by far the best waiter I’ve ever experienced. His knowledge of the food was very detailed down to the ingredients, cooking techniques and process. It was FASCINATING to hear. He even made us want to come back to try other dishes he shared. The food was AWESOME, but having Sam as our waiter made choosing Five Church worth every penny. He also deserved the tip we left. As I have with everyone I know, I will continue to talk about your restaurant, but now the story will be more about Sam. Hahaha!!! Well done! Rick
Our server Kyle was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable of menu. Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. Favorite spot to go to when in Charleston.
Wonderful!! Service, atmosphere and food were outstanding!
The kitchen got backed up so we received our food really late and it was clear our potatoes had been sitting there. The manager discounted our meal though & our server was good.
Loved the food, drinks, and the atmosphere!
Sam was excellent! Dinner and drinks amazing.
Amazing food in a beautiful setting. By far the best food we had.
We had a party of 6 and were handled beautifully. Consistent service without being pestered and the food was outstanding. So good, we went back another night.
This visit was for brunch. The brunch menu had a nice variety to choose from. Great location, service and food.
Sunday Brunch with friends at the bar. Service from our bar tender was outstanding!!!! Best drinks ever.
Food was good and interesting. We will be back!
Great food. Server seemed to have too many tables, but she showed grace and hospitality
