Enjoyed it. I think we overwhelmed them just a bit with a 10 person table, but think believe it to be a one off situation.
We went here before the Christmas with ASO show on a Sunday during brunch...it was busy but the kitchen was efficient and we really enjoyed our waiter.
Our waiter was very attentive and never missed a detail. He went above and beyond our expectations. Several in our party had the chicken and waffles--very good. The bistro steak and crabcakes were very nice, as well.
Guests in town
Have been to 5Church in Charlotte which is lovely and the music and talking did not compete with our conversation. Maybe it’s the acoustics in Atlanta but it was very difficult to hear a person across the table from you at a table for 4.
We all tasted each other’s dishes and could not honestly pick a winner. Everything was fantastic
Great location, cool interior. I’ve only been there for lunch but it’s only average food.
Had a great dinner with family from out of town. Food was delicious. Servers were great and friendly but bar and kitchen were a little slow.
Great food and service but to loud to conduct a conversation
Colony Square is a under renovation mess...but 5Church is worth it for food/drinks pre/post Woodruff Arts Center and they validate your parking. Ou r server Kia was INCREDIBLE and got us in/out in 30 min dur to late arrival and theater tickets. Appetizers are really good and sharable.
Hostess was very rude. Food was mediocre at best. So loud we could barely hear each other speak.
We had a 25 minute delay from our reservation time. Hostess was somewhat rude and did not provide updates on when we would be seated. We did not have a server for nearly ten minutes after being seated and finally had to get up and locate one. Once we had a server, he did a nice job; however, the food and drinks were slow to come out. Not impressed and not likely to go back.
Food was excellent. We felt like our waiter had to many tables and most were trying to make a show at the Atlanta symphony.
... staff was totally underprepared.
... food was underwhelming.
This is my normal spot; I love this place. Get it back together.
Just okay...close to the museum and performing arts center, so convenient for a quick bite. Brunch was underwhelming at best...nothing inedible, but everything was dry and lacked any kind of significant flavor. Our server was very personable, but seemed to have too many tables, and it took 15 minutes and the help of another staff member to flag him down to get our check.
Enjoyed brunch before seeing a show at the Fox. Food was delicious. Want to come back to try the dinner menu.
Food and service were both great. We’ll be back!
Good time, good food. Slow service at first, but we all had a good time.
Very nice atmosphere, noise level good for conversation, mixed crowd, good parking just a little pricy for the parking $22.... which was a lot. Menu didn't have a lot of options but the options were good ones. Menu moderately price highest item was around $45 lowest item on dinner menu was around $25. Their mashed potatoes were very good and the seafood bowl was to die for. It was very busy and the server wasn't as quick with being intuitive about the tables needs BUT we had a party of 6 and they did not add gratuity. Overall the experience was good and I will go back.
Food was very good. Loud to the point we could not carry on a conversation at our 2 person table
Overall the food was good. Duck confit appetizer was delicious. Wife loved the lamb entree. My pork chop was cooked properly, but sweet potato purée was very sweet. My sons steak was cooked well, but not the best cut of strip, especially for the price.
Really the only negative was the atmosphere. Felt like a really energetic bar that was trying to serve dinner rather than a dinner place that also had a bar. Main dining room was very loud and made worse by unnecessary music.
Had an amazing dinner here celebrating my brother's engagement! Love the ambiance and service was phenomenal.. we had the margarita flatbread & lamb chops for apps and the server picked a great red wine that paired perfectly with my entree! Will definitely be back to 5Church!!
My only feedback is that on a quiet Monday night when we had a reservation and the restaurant wasn’t full, the hostess placed us at a table closest to the stairs with a draft coming through every time the door was opened. We asked to be moved and it was fine. Just consider the thoughtfulness in the moment.
Sunday brunch with friends-food was amazing! However, it took 20 minutes of no service once we sat down before we flagged down someone to get us drinks then took another 10-15 before we got someone taking our order.
We really enjoyed our brunch on Sunday! The food and coffee were delicious and made with that farm to table freshness. Great atmosphere and the service was awesome! Can't wait to go back!
Drinks were way over priced and weak. Our food came to the table freezing cold and my friends orders were wrong. Did not live up to the hype.
Nice place... We did brunch... They need more basic options for breakfast.
Thanksgiving is not a normal dinner, I get that. But wow, it shouldn’t be a significant drop off from normal.
Asked for wine pairings. The first flight came with the entrees instead of the 1st course. 1st course came out super fast. Second course not hot for one of us. Finished the entree just in time for the wine pairing to come out.
Soup bland, crab cake good. Turkey cold, fried chicken ok, ribeye good. Dessert tasty.
Even though the manager did come to us and help sort it out, our Thanksgiving was seriously disappointing. I booked super far in advance and we were seated way in the back away from the nice ambiance until we asked to move. Then they told my mom who was visiting from out of town that they were out of an appetizer and the couple sitting next to us who came later got the appetizer. They also told her they were out of the dessert she ordered. Wine pairings came half way into the courses. My Thanksgiving turkey was missing the cranberry sauce. Still cost a lot of money.
Very enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner in this cosmopolitan, yet charming restaurant. My husband and I decided to upgrade the prix fix to include a wine pairing for every course as selected by the chef. We were not disappointed. The individual wines were expertly chosen and worked well with each individual menu item. We would definitely consider returning the next time we're in Atlanta visiting family.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner at 5 pm. They had "run out" of dressing, but were making more...which I never received. Probably just as well, as the sides were mediocre at best. But the crabcake appetizer was tasty, the turkey was delicious, as was my husband's short rib. The deserts were worth the calories, and the wine pairings were nice.
Nice location and menu for Thanksgiving...felt rushed but then again, it was Thanksgiving.
Food was excellent as always ! I love the ambiance and the staff is friendly
Great Thanksgiving menu and excellent service!
The service was horrible. We had to ‘bus’ our own table so we could get our dinner on our table. The manager apologized, but offered nothing more.
I would suggest you select another restaurant for your dinner.
Went for brunch- shrimp and grits is delicious. Had friends who also ordered avocado toast, poached eggs and chicken and waffles- all LOVED it!
Great food and fast service! Will definitely be going back!
Love it here! The food is always amazing and the service was excellent.
The food here has always been stellar, but the service has gone downhill a bit. Our server was very pleasant and eager to please, but he just seemed like he hadn't been trained well. There was a lot he needed to check on, and he didn't seem to understand any of the manners around wine selection and tasting.
I’ve been before and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed in the food. With a small party, I’ve never had issues. With a large party, just be patient and clear on your order. It’s is a tad loud in there but there was also a DJ the night I went last. They don’t always have one. Give it a try. It’s a nice place to go if you want to get a little dressed up for a night out.
