cool spot to hang for special occasion or rooftop to hang with friends and drink. nice view, nice ambiance
The service, food and drinks were excellent! I will be back!
The restaurant was great! The kitchen was a little off so our food wasn’t correct but the service was amazing so it made up for it!
I was there for my birthday on Saturday night. Our server wasn’t very customer service oriented he had timing issues, wasn’t aware of his table and their needs for water or refills and there was zero follow up. The wait for items were lengthy and our food was over cooked. I was super excited about this place but, unfortunately I was highly disappointed.
Service at the bar was outstanding! Mallory was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. She was truly a professional! It was a wonderful experience.
The steak was very good, I would not recommend the lobster tails they were overcooked, flavorless and extremely small, they were well overpriced.
Atmosphere was fabulous!
Food and drinks were amazing, but we did spend $100 for 2 people. I had the pork tenderloin, and it was garnished with dried cherries. There was one group table next to us that was especially noisy; to the point where we could not enjoy ourselves. We went to rooftop after dinner, and the view is beautiful. The DJ played only hip-hop; which I think a mix of different music might be more appealing for people who like different types of music.
We sat at the bar for happy hour and two of the three bartenders were new. They didn’t know anything about the drink specials or food. It also took a long time to be served and there were only two couples at the bar.
The construction noise was distracting. I wish I had. None before booking.
Great location and environment. But the food was terrible! We ordered a NY strip, filet, hanger steak, lamb burger, a seafood stew, and scallops. The strip and filet were dry and we had to douse them with sauce to make them tolerable. Lamb burger had a single piece of tomato and a shriveled piece of lettuce. The waiter did not come by once to refill our sodas. Terrible service and food.
Enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch
Celebrated Mother’s Day ! The buffet was delicious 😋
The food was awesome and the service was really good!! The brunch price ($40) should have included beverages and they should have told us in the beginning that it didn't.
The food was good, the pastries & sweet Station can be improved. Also I feel like there should be some non-pork options for breakfast sausages/meat. The food needs to be labeled.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet! My reservation was at 1:30pm, but due to the construction, and unfamiliarity of the city, a few of my family members (one was my mom) got lost on the way to the restaurant. Fortunately the kind ladies at the front desk worked with us, and we were able to be seated around 2:00pm. The food was good and the ambiance was very nice. The carvers were willing to send our prime rib back to the grill to be cooked a different temperature, and our waiter did a decent job. I would recommend this restaurant for future outings.
Great crowd and good food. Service was excellent!
Went there for dinner with friends, and it was not a place I would go back to.. its laoud, service horrible let the guest order before you take the menu's.. only positv thing about this place is the food..
So turned the music down so please who eats there can also talk without yelling and tell the waiters to give the guest a chance to order the whole meal at once.
We came the other night and I’m sure the managers would remember our table. We were very nice and understanding though. Our services was fantastic! My food was just, meh. My sides all came out cold. Then when they came back after sending them back to the kitchen they were barely luke warm. My entire meal nothing was “hot.” Everybody’s meals were good, not great. We were told they were working on improving the food. The sweet manager said she wanted to come next round of drinks, but we had to go. The only thing comped was my one extra side. But it’s all good and we didn’t make a fuss about it. Just hope they can improve the food. We never have a “bad” experience at 5 Church, but we were hoping next time they’ll be much improved.
Service was rushed. They kept bringing one course while we were still eating previous.
Good spot for an early evening date. The food was good and the service as well. The seating arrangements should be revisited to accommodate both large parties and intimate parties as well. Over all a good place to go. Be prepared to spend anywhere from $100to $160 for two.
Excellent service and experience! I will definitely come back to 5Church!
Hello Maya! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We so appreciate it, and we look forward to seeing you back at 5Church soon!
The food was...bad, it was bad. My crab crusted salmon had no flavor and was kinda cold and tough. My potato au gratin tasted like dust. My girlfriend’s “60 Second New York Strip” was just awful.... Worst steak either of us have tried in a min. Service was okay.
I’ve been here a few times in the past and it was good but this time it was pretty bad. We could’ve gone to Kevin Rathbun Steak and a had a way nicer experience and meal for the same price. Won’t come back.
The menu changes often and not updated on the website. The items we wanted were no longer being served.
Basic and food was underseasoned and quite mediocre
wonderful dining experience..food was delicious..server was delightful..highly recommend!
Nice place, nice waiter and he seemed to be a great spokesperson for the menu and full of suggestions. The steaks ordered by my friend and I were a bit rare with cool purple look g center and super chewy, but we both ordered medium rare, you know, warm pink center kind of bloody. When I mentioned it to the waiter he tried to explain that the chewy ness was the marbled fat and is better toward the center, rather that firing the things to temp. Before hand he mentioned some 3 day marinade process that would break down the tendons but this steak was full of tendon. I we were hungry and it was my birthday so we swallowed the food and left. I didn’t appreciate someone acting as if I’ve never had a nice ribeye at medium rare temp. What we ate was unacceptable, but I will never recommend this place nor return. All the sides were subpar but the drinks were above average and hit the mark. Can’t stand when a place has all these high reviews and then when I go it’s basic AF, JUST WITH A NICE LAYOUT. And the cheese cake was nice and big but lacked flavor, and tasted like it wasn’t made from scratch, almost like the ones that come out the box. I’m done!
Great service, unusual and good menu, lively atmosphere, great location and no regrets going since it was convenient but the noise even in our quiet corner table was really a problem in the end we left the restaurant earlier than we expected to talk outside not a good choice if conversation is important to your meal
Shrimp and grits were delicious
Great location for theater dining. Server was cognizant of the fact that we were planning to attend a show & she got us out in time. Good food & drinks. Would definitely recommend!
First timw and I will definitely return. Good food and service.
Hustling and bustling perfect urban atmosphere. Great service, great food. Rooftop bar fabulous for a post dinner drink, weather perfect!
Worth giving it a try, overall it’s a bit overrated. We are at 5 Church Charleston and wanted to see if this was better.
We were disappointed by this experience. Service was very slow. The appetizers and food came out too close together. It was loud - excessively loud. The food once it did come was very good. Granted it was Sunday night so maybe they didn’t have a full staff. So very good food but the experience didn’t live up to the other reviews.
Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Sever was helpful.Excellent dinner experience!
Great food the staff and host were very accommodating we came with a large group and was quickly seated I can definitely see myself returning when I’m in the Atlanta area
Better for a date night. Food is good but pricey. Our table of 5 service was a bit slow. Others around us had 2-4 and were served quicker. Drinks, good but also pricey.
I have had brunch here many times but dinner was awful! The octopus was tough both times they brought it out. My son’s steak was cooked rare even though he ordered it medium and my salmon was barely cooked at all. Very disappointing!! We won’t return.
Service and ambience were fine. Wine was good. Food presentation was good but the taste combinations were off. Octopus was chewy and the dressy much to tart. Tomato avocado salad seemed to be missing the avocado. Maybe was blended in the dressing? Goat cheese app with veggies was good. Carpaccio was meh. Dessert pannacotta was very good. All in all, nothing that makes me want to return. Rather disappointing, but maybe we didn’t order the best things.
Excellent food and service! Our expectations were met and exceeded! Definitely worth a return visit. The personnel inclusive of Valet service are to be commended.
Great server, delicious truffle fries, a must have, and great lunch options. Highly recommend!
Overall luv the vibe here the food is really good great presentation-excellent service-great price point and simply cannot beat the location
