579 Benefit Street Restaurant
Everything was great. That was first time for dinner. I’ve been for appetizers and drinks on the bar side.
We already recommended to friends.
We will be returning soon.
Someone needs to pay more attention to filling water.
Dinner was great. Our server,Julie was superb, and we will continue to go to the eesturant
We were going to be in the area and love the two sister restaurants so we decided to try 579. The food was good, the waitstaff person put forth good effort, and the ambiance is clean and simple. The discouraging part of the evening began when I called to inquire as to whether or not they offered the Sunday night deal on wine as did my go-to sister restaurant close to my home. The hostess did not know, but offered to find out, but seemed to be unclear as to what it actually was. When the four of us arrived and were seated, we inquired again and were told we would be offered 10.00 pp toward the wine or we could get a bottle and pay the difference. Each couple therefore ordered a bottle. When the check arrived, we saw that we were credited with 20.00 instead of 40.00. The waiter was unsure of what to do, so we requested the manager. He arrived at the table and kept repeating we could get up to 10.00 for a glass of wine and the fact that we purchased two bottles did not seem to matter as he continued to insist that we were still only allowed 20.00. He clearly left us with a not so pleasant "taste" for returning to 579.
Open up the room to be part of the bar.clean, great food and y waitress was very professional.see you soon. Kathy
We have been there before but always sat in the dining room. Last time we were seated in the bar area. Extremely noisy which detracted from the whole experience. The food was wonderful. Next time I will ask to be seated in the dining room. 🙃
Fantastic experience at this restaurant! Food was delicious and we loved the free wine promo! The waiter was so gracious even when my kids acted up, and helped us sneak candles onto my MIL’s cake before serving. Wish I lived closer.
Just moved to town with the wife. Wanted to find something new but in a environment we are use to. Found this thought it was a hole in the wall due to the location. Food was great service was good. A little slow at time but they were rocking so it is okay. But overall top notch
First time there had the filet and my husband had the penne jambalaya. Awesome! Will definitely be going back for the Buck a Shuck too!
The food is outstanding! It is definitely a hidden gem. We went on a busy Saturday night and had to wait over 40min for our appetizer but other than that, it is a winner for sure!
I love this place. One of our top 5 for sure. And their service and food is amazing
Wonderful evening of delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend
579 Benefit St is a great local restaurant! The food is fresh and amazing and the service is always top notch. It's surprisingly affordable compared to some of the Providence restaurants of the same caliber.
I think this restaurant has potential. They have some creative menu items. We ordered the "tater tot" appetizer, and it's not just tots, and it is very good and not just a silly carb/cheese bomb. On the other hand, I ordered Prime Rib, a special, and it was tough, a thin cut, sinewy. Don't put something on your specials, especially a pricier item, if your not committed to doing it right.
Speaking of specials, I ordered a cocktail off their house specials, at 6 PM on a Saturday night, and was informed 5-10 minutes after ordering that they were out of a critical ingredient. This is a minor league mistake. Booze doesn't go bad. Make sure you stock the ingredients of your featured drink!
I would much rather have them tell me they were out of prime rib, because they got a good price on a batch of quality meat, and it was a hit and they just ran out. That I could understand better.
The rest of our party did enjoy their food and cocktails. As I said, lots of potential. The good news is fixing many of the types of issues I saw is just basic restaurant management. Not sure how long they have been open, but hopefully more good things to come. I'd give it one more try, after all, I am OFP (Originally From Pawtucket).
We go pretty often there but this was now the second time our order was never put in. We thought it was just busy because of Valentine’s Day so we thought that was the hold up with the food but then found out our food was never put in. It should have been a one hour dinner that turned into over 2 hours. We will continue to go because it’s amazing food and normally great service. It was just a crazy night.
Hidden jewel in the Pawtucket area. Lamb was amazing!
Our waitress kept taking care of all the tables around us, and avoiding us. Never asked how everything was, or if we needed drink refills. The food was mediocre at best.
Food was great. Drinks were very good. We will definitely be back soon
The restaurant is a very clean and outstanding food and employees. Very knowledge in the products being served. Also will be returning to restaurant as much as possible. This is a place everyone should try. It a very good value for the money. In a quiet area in pawtucket. Easy on and off highway to get to restaurant.
Spent Valentine’s Day at 579 Benefit.
Open Table is terrific and a great dining resource.
A wonderful experience for all those involved.
Scallops were overcooked
Meatloaf was grilled but burnt
But I would be willing to go back and try something else
Staff eager to please, and dinner was well prepared, not overly salty, and the overall experience was quite good.
Good food nice atmosphere. Parking isn’t great
Food was excellent as always, are server was ok at the beginning but was a little slow at end of evening, I know we were there for about 2/12 hours as we were catching up with old friends, but not like the area was super busy.
The food was delicious and delivered hot.
The waitress and manager both apologized for the delay, but the restaurant was extremely busy
Food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. It is a family friendly place.
Excellent experience. I normally do not like the seating where there is one long bench and tables next to each other, however, the tables were big enough that you did not hear everything the people next to you were saying and you did not feel like you were sitting on top of the person next to you. Food was great and service was great.
Delicious! Parking not the easiest but the food is always good. Waitress was great so was my martini!
Food was excellent. Service was very good. Would recommend to all my friends and family. Will definitely go back
When we were seated our server introduced herself and immediately apologized and stated they have been extremely busy and the kitchen was backed up. She took our drink order, gave us great suggestions when we inquired and put in our order for the appetizers. Our drinks were amazing, apps were incredible as well. Shortly afterwards she took our dinner order, again gave us great recommendations and also advised the daily special were part of restaurant week. Even though in the beginning she stated the kitchen was all backed up, we really did not wait that long. Dinner was served in a timely fashion, fresh, hot, fabulous! We ordered our 2nd round of drinks and then it was time for desert. Again, all amazing. Afterwards we received our check, our waitress explained that Chardonnay's and 579 Benefit Street were owned by the same company. She further explained that 579 same sort of menu but, a little cheaper. I had added the service at 579 was much better! My family and I had a great evening and have advised our friends. I can't wait to come back again!
Excellent service and great food at a good price always have great experience when visiting this restaurant
Went during restaurant week- pizza options for appetizer and desert were both excellent. Plenty of food to bring home for another meal. Great value.
Great menu, such delicious food! Same menu as Meritage and Chardonnay's.
The food was great though mine could have been a bit hotter. Service was outstanding! I do love this restaurant!
We had an excellent meal. There were six of us and we all had great meals. No complaints. Great night!
Tried 579 during restaurant week. The food was above average. I had a cod dish with a wonderful cream sauce, and my husband mentioned a few times how good his steak was. No complaints about apps or desserts. Our server was friendly and prompt. The set-up reminded us a bit of a NYC cafe or pub where the tables are lined up closely. It's a little tight when it's a full house. Worth a return visit though, maybe next time with some friends.
I was really impressed. We didn't realize it was restaurant week. The portions were huge and food was outstanding. I got the 579 salad and the special arctic char. The salad alone was big enough for a meal. It was also nice to have the manager come by to check on things. I'm very excited to go back. Hope the experience will be the same. We live closer to Chardonnay's but have been disappointed the past few times we've gone. They used to be so consistent but something has changed. I will go out of my way to try 579 again.
We came on a Thursday night, so it was not busy at all. The food was really good. The service, however, was slow. Despite the small number of tables, it took a long time for the server to come to our table. When we got dessert, it took 10 minutes to get spoons; even though we asked 2 different people. Our fiend ordered coffee, and it was brought with no cream or sugar. We waited almost 5 minutes before there was even an opportunity to ask someone for that, and then it took quite some time.
I am not sure the reason for all the delays, as it was not busy at all. I would be reluctant to go on a busy weekend night.
We were in the area and looking for a new restaurant to go to. This was a great choice. We chose to eat in the lounge area because the dining room did not look as cozy as the lounge did. The food was great and our service was good too. We will certainly return here to eat again.
