Great food coupled with great service.
Food, Service and Atmosphere Fabulous!!!
54 Mint is a really great Italian restaurant. The food, wine and service are outstanding. We were so happy that we found this place while visiting San Francisco. I would recommend eating here if you are looking for some amazing Italian food. My only advice is to make sure you take a taxi or Uber. The neighborhood is full of homeless people and seemed a little unsafe to be walking around.
The food here is outstanding. Great flavors in every dish we had. Our favorites this time were the fava bean salad, a special that was only three simple ingredients but wowza was it good, and the cacio e pepe, a regular item that is SO delicious! The service is attentive and the wait staff are very knowledgeable. It's a bit loud for larger groups so I'd recommend for two, three or four people vs. bigger. Great spot for pre-theater dinner too!
Service was superb. Bread amazing. Don’t drink the tap water as it tasted funky but we’re from out of town so maybe the taste is normal for SF.
54 Mint has consistently excellent pasta, service and vibes. It is also just removed enough from the bustle of downtown to make it feel like a mini vacation to Rome. Lunch or dinner, you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful food and service!! The staff was very attentive and was there to check in and refill drinks at the exact right times - not too often and not too little.
Highly recommend the cocktails!
We have been away from SF for a while and it was a delight to go back to one of our favorite places. Great experience.
Came for Valentine’s Day and was pretty disappointed. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly, but we paid almost $300 for a fairly mediocre meal. I’d save yourself the trip!
Very tasty, great Valentines special menu. Steep corkage fee and a bit over priced in my opinion, but overall a good experience.
Very cramped table, not impressed with apps/ pasta meal small portion .
I pride myself in being 100% Italian; or at least I think that is so! The gnocchi was just like my mother made them and the sauce was outstanding. And as my Mother always said you can tell when the sauce is ready because the oil is clear......just like it was at 54 Mint!
Dinner before the theater? 54 Mint is your place. Delicious food is Roman style Italian; ambiance is smart casual and cocktails are expertly mixed. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive; made excellent recommendations when asked and timing for our theater date was perfect.
The restaurant is very modern and clean. Seating is comfortable and doesn't feel cramped. Both the food and service were mediocre at best. I don't have a strong desire to go back.
The food was delicious and the restaurant gifted the birthday guest with a complimentary tira misu. Yum!
Delicious authentic Italian food in a comfortable space. A little tucked away but convenient.
Dinner before formal event at City Hall
Delicious authentic Italian food with great ambience for gathering of friends. Not too overly crowded or too noisy. Just perfect!
Everything was tremendous! The salmon was perfectly cooked and SO fresh.
The female bartender is an absolute pro!
Excellent food and excellent service
They were pushing a fettuccine with truffles special, which I ordered. I was shocked to find that the shaved “truffles” were odorless and flavorless, meaning either that they were very old or were not authentic truffles. Price tag? $35. For what amounted to a plate of noodles and butter.
Fabulous service and ambiance
I love the bar and the restaurant. Don’t miss the suppli! We had dinner with friends and everyone enjoyed the evening! It like being in Rome!
We had a great dinner. Everything thing we ordered was delicious but the salmon was really outstanding.
Great food and wine, reminded me of my last visit to Rome. Service was without reproach. Definitely on my list of SF eateries, and will have to check out their Walnut Creek location, since it's closer to home.
Food was delicioslus and fresh! A great spot to celebrate a coworker's birthday!
Very good food
What a gem to discover in our hometown! A very gracious and attentive wait staff, with a meal and wine to remember. Add 54 Mint to your list of venues to experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at 54 Mint. The service, food and ambiance were all great. We especially appreciated the care staff gave to ensure that we would be able to both enjoy our meal and be on time for our early theater reservation.
Ate here years ago when it first opened. Forgot how good it was and still is.
I came for my birthday, I had a reservation and they made us wait for the table. The service was extremely slow. They didn’t give me any birthday cake :(. I had had very good experiences in the past, it has clearly fallen since, I was very disappointed.
Delicious food and a wonderful staff. We will be back
This place is really cozy and welcoming. We ate upstairs in the bar area as there was a private party downstairs. With exposed brick walls, modern light fixtures and antique tables and chairs, it is the perfect combination of rustic and elegant. The cocktails were creative, beautiful and DIVINE. Served in lovely vessels and designed to perfection. (I especially loved the rose-shaped ice cube in my copper martini glass full of the best gin, bitters and rosewater concoction one could imagine.) The pasta dishes are perfectly prepared. Simple but special. I had the octopus appetizer and it was a very generous portion with rich, spicy flavors. And perhaps most unique was the amazing service. There were quite a few servers around, quickly but quietly delivering and whisking things away. It didn't hurt that our head server was amazingly handsome and charming, while also great at making recommendations. It's so rare these days to experience caring, attentive service. We just loved it!
Steak served cold. Salad was horrible like cabbage with wet mayo
Great food, great service
Can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner, and they even brought us complimentary tiramisu!
I would have given an Overall rating of 4 stars but the restaurant really needs to replace its dishwashing staff. It was hard to enjoy my wine with the white spots and grime streaks all over my glass, and the very palatable food was affected by the dozen large greasy finger prints all over my plates. I didn't call this out in the restaurant because I was with my son, and well, you know how kids are....
Prix Fixe menu for New Year’s Eve was good but the risotto was extremely buttery and I was disappointed as I ordered the vegetarian option in a béchamel sauce for my entree. Fortunately they noticed neither of us ate much of the risotto. They kindly made a replacement dish with a tomato sauce. I was delighted with the service.
The cacio de Pepe was outstanding. As was the gnocchi & the beef tenderloin. The pasta is made in house and was cooked al dente.
