5 Napkin Burger - Upper West Side
soy marinated tuna steak, wasabi mayo, tempura onion rings
cheddar, black label bacon, tomato, vidalia onion, lettuce
house made with too many ingredients to count, 5n sauce, b&b pickles, multigrain roll
Such an amazing dining experience. Everyone was social distancing and following protocol and it was great! Food was incredible!
Great food, great service. A little noisy, but that is because we ate outdoors.
Lots of space for outdoor dining and easy ordering through website allows for a very safe dining experience for even the most wary of individuals. Food was good and staff attentive.
Great food, easy and simple to order from the phone, indoor and outdoor eating, great friendly service. I don’t have no complaints everything was great.
First the divider fell on us, the waiter was really slow, didn't even us bring straws, ordered a hot tea and he dropped the tea bag didn't offer to pick It up or bring a new one, menu not the same as on this website so i was disappointed, we ordered well done burgers they came out medium rare and brung our burgers with no buns just overall a bad experience
The food was great but the bathrooms were very dirty. In a time like this I would think that would be a priority. There was water all over the floor no soap or hand sanitizer. I went to a machine for hand sanitizer near the entrance and that machine was empty too!!! I would not go back
Good set up
Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait an extra 20 minutes before sitting down. The hostess was very kind and sympathetic towards us, but the whole situation was not managed well. It would've been nice if the restaurant comped part of our order or a free drink, side, etc. They should have at least texted or call us beforehand that they would not have been ready to seat us at our reserved time. If they did that, we would have been more sympathetic to the situation.
I was not enthusiastic about going to 5 Napkin Burger UWS because it is a chain and i prefer to support the smaller restaurants during this difficult time for the restaurant business. But i must admit, my entree (Salmon over a classic salad) was surprisingly good. I was just surprised that they don't include bread with the salad like most restaurants. The food for the other 3 people in my family was also good. I would no longer discourage people from going here despite my attitude towards chains.
Enjoyed a very tasty burger with great service in a safe environment.
It was so nice to go back to Five Napkin Burger and dine outside. They have quite a few tables, including many on the quieter side street. I had the original burger salad with tuna, the sweet potato fries, and the chocolate cake. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I'll be going back very soon.
In an age where we must eat outdoors for safety, as a lifestyle choice, Five Napkin makes you feel right at home. Prompt service, attention to details, even if you don’t like your first choice of beer, they are accommodating and thoughtful. Come here for a family meal or meeting a friend any time of day or night. Not a bad taste or value to be had !
Had the best seat in the house with the corner table in the front surrounded by glass on two sides. Food has always been very good and fries are outstanding. Our waitress provided perfect service.
Family get together
Love the friendly greeting and wait staff and booth atmosphere. Sometimes, if you are seated near a large group the noise can make conversation difficult. But I always have a good time here, regardless of the ambient noise.
I was happy to find that the chef was open to using a protein to top my Texican salad that was not listed but was available in the Happy Hour section of the menu. The resulting salad was awesome. Grape tomatoes would be tastier than the wedges normally in the salad, and if you were to add avocado to this particular item - it would be perfect (for me, maybe others too?). My friend asked for a burger on a lettuce wrap and was happy that that was actually an option, without any extra charge.
No matter who I bring to this restaurant, they can always find something to eat and drink that suits them. Vegetarians, keto-friendly, meat lovers and kids, it's a good neighborhood eatery, across the street from the movie theater, CMOM and sandwiched between both Riverside and Central Parks!
Overall I enjoyed my meal but I felt I was crammed into these tables that weren’t far enough apart and it made I and the other guests uncomfortable.
Delicious food! Will be back again soon. The floor
More menu options on sides and burgers. It’s pretty limited food wise. The drinks were great though, the spiked milkshakes!!!
Love 5 Napkin burger. Been eating there for years. I think they have one the the best burgers in the city.
They also make a great margarita. Usually eat at the one in Times Square which is a bit noisier. This one is just as good with a lower noise and crowd level.
Love the french fries gluten free!
Cute for date night, or just an outing with friends the environment was warm and cozy and the food was comforting and filling. Looks exactly as pictured on Instagram.
The place is friendly and the food is pretty good. We had to ask for a little more liquor in the mixed drink as they tend to be a little watered down. The place is noisy.
We've been coming here for the last few weeks while staying in the area for physical rehab. The staff is very accommodating to our wheelchair needs and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The food and service are great. Would recommend you give them a try.
We were celebrating our daughter's 31st birthday. This is our daughter's favorite restaurant. She loves the burgers, fries, and apps. The entire staff, and especially the manager Greg, went out of their way to make an this incredibly special dinner for our daughter. Love this place!!!
The burgers were great. The service was not. Multiple servers were seen with nothing to do, we could not flag down any to find ours. Slow to take order, we received drinks well after food that was ordered at the same time. Save the tip and disappointment, order takeout.
Apart form the DEAFENING roar of happy eaters and pounding music, my group of four had a good time. The food is good, the drinks weak but interesting, service spotty but friendly. My guess is that Friday night is a busy time, hence the racket and iffy service. I'd advise going at an off-time for better service.
Nice tasty burger, very flavorful. Definitely a mess to eat but really good
Casual food, with good cocktails . Service is slow from waiters and busboy. Had to ask for refills of water. Would have ordered desert sooner if waiter was available.
Great with food allergies!!
Food and service very good
I would recommend for a family meal
I really want to know why the fries were all 1 inch long. The food was good but those small fries....
I get why they call it 5 napkin burger, but i thought the burgers were a little too greasy. It didn’t sit well with me. The drinks were good I got the velvet mule and my guest got a beer. The dessert was the best- dark chocolate layer cake was super moist and tasty.
No chicken tenders. Service not as good as we have come to expect.
We had a wonderful dinner, as always. Delicious food, cooked perfectly. Everything was excellent!
Always such great food! They even accommodated us early for our reservation.
Solid burger restaurant with fast and friendly service at reasonable prices.
Good cocktails, but burger was dried out when ordered medium rare. Sweet potato fries overcooked. Cool vibe, accommodated a large group but not amazing.
Always one of the best burgers around. Service always very good. Great milk shakes.
Overall, our meal was fine. Nothing special or memorable. The burgers were prepared well but lacked any real flavor.
An unique taste of burgers, can't compare to other restaurants.
