Great burgers, good service, excellent location. Possibly our newest guilty pleasure.
It was our anniversary, and I chose to do something different than the candle lit italian dinner, and go to a nice casual place and just relax. The burgers are amazing and really the center of the meal, we both orderd burgers and neither of us could finish them , but they made great leftovers. We also had ordered an appitzer which was delicious the pork taqitos were small and light they were a great way to start off dinner. After dinner we took a walk around Prudential and the concrete pond then we packed up and went home , it was a nice way to spend the evening just the two of us
Went to a 5 Napkin in NYC and was not impressed with the burger but wanted to try again in Boston hoping for a better tasting burger, but again the burger was just dry and tasteless, it only went down after a couple glasses of water.
delicious food, great location, very nice staff
really disappointed actually! I was hoping it would be better, my buger was overcooked and the wings were not hot at all. Service was attentive but maybe a little too overbearing... I rarely eat burgers and was really in the mood for a great one... it disapointed me.
I expected a lot better quality in food. Just putting a thich ground beef without the right seasoning does not make it a good burger. The selection of beer was not bad.
Generally an overall disappointing experience. While the burgers were very juicy, everything else was just so-so. Nothing special at all.
To say the service was horrible is an understatement. We had to ask for setups AFTER the food arrived, the server (not the waitress) who dropped off the food was in such a rush that he couldn’t get the service right and, after checking the bill, realized that we got someone else’s tab! If you’re going to drop $15+ for a burger, think twice. There are way better places.
It is an overpriced hamburger place, but it is located where we need it.
This is a great place to get burgers and burger salads during lunch hours and the bar after-work is really energetic but not overwhelming.
We can't quite figure why this place is do popular. Burgers are fine but overpriced. Service was exceptionally slow. My daughters order was delivered with blue cheese when shd requested non, with little apology and no compensation. Mixed drinks are awful:stick to beer and wine! But keep your eye on the check because our wine was almost overcharged by $6.
Food was excellent and ambiance was great! Would definitely recommend and go again whenever in the area. Actually I wish we had a 5 Nakin Burger here in Los Angeles CA.
The 'Original' burger was great as usual!
This vibe here was excellent and the food was delicious and came quickly. The crowd seemed appropriate which made this a place that may be considered a hot spot for foodies who want something a little more.
The burger had acceptable taste, but really did not seem special at all. The wait staff was slow.
We went to Five Napkin after the Red Sox opening day and thought it was great. Our whole party didn't arrive together, but it wasnt any issue with the hostess Our drinks were very made well and our food was delicious. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer, and accommodating. I would defiantly go back.
We had been at this 5 Napkin Burger for dinner after it had just opened and fell in love with it. Came back for a celebration lunch (birthday) and found that they were overwhelmed with lunch crowd (which was not very big or busy, to be honest). The kitchen made multiple major mistakes on the order and the service was quite slow. Will definitely give it a second chance but it was disappointing.
5 Napkin Burger makes the best burgers I've ever had! Their french fries are good too--thin cut and nice and crisp. One of our party had the lamb burger and said that was good too. Great place for a casual, pleasant meal.
They do gluten free....
The food was very good. Service felt rushed and the restaurant was not full, server didn't come back and check to as how we were or if we needed refills. He never even asked if we wanted coffee or dessert - he just brought the check. That was annoying. When I made my reservation, I had specifically asked for a booth by the window and we didn't get one which was also disappointing because it was a Wed night and I am pretty sure that most of the folks sitting there had not likely made a reservation- I had guests in from out of town.
Delicious burgers and great location.
Burgers were big and delicious. Even for the non-burger person. Get the sweet potato fries.
It's very disappointing that a place specializing in burgers doesn't seem to know how to actually COOK a burger. It was dry and completely tasteless. Third time I've eaten there and same result each time. So, last time I'll waste my dining dollars at 5-Napkins.
Burgers were very good. Service was non-existent. Waiter rarely came back and followed up, got the orders wrong and did not offer dessert when the restaurant is supposed to be known for their shakes (they were warm!) overall a disappointment.
It is exactly what its name implies. A good place for burgers! It is also in the right location (to go to the BSO).
Excellent Beer and wine selection. Burgers are outstanding. Great find.
Food was absolutely amazing. The Five Napkin burger was the entree highlight of the night, perfectly prepared and the flavors create a mouth party. YOU MUST TRY THE SHAKES. SERIOUSLY. Hubby had cookies & cream and I had salted caramel. Literally one of the best desserts we have ever had. Been thinking about them ever since! Amazing place, can't believe we waited this long to try it.
kind of loud, good service, good food. Burgers were good. i prefer grilled burgers. good bun. sweet potatoe fries looked good.
Great beer list. Burger decent but a little over priced.
Had the lamb burger and the sweet potato fries...both were really good. Friends had different burgers which they all enjoyed.
Best Burger in Boston. Friends in NY turned me on to Five Napkins when I ever I visited there. So glad to have one in my own backyard now. Amazing food, great bar, and great service.
5 Napkin Burger came as a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. My boyfriend and I both ordered the 5 Napkin Burger (the signiture dish) and I got sweet potato fries, he got regular. The combo of flavors sounded really good, but unfortunately nothing stood out. I think a sharper cheese than greuyere would have been better like a gouda or sharp cheddar, the bun was a bit flour-y which masked some flavors and I think a sweet wheat bun would have been better. The burger itself was juicy and delicious, but the whole package was not worth $15 for me. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've had. I'd like to try something else next time instead. GREAT beer selection too, good hang out spot.
Very friendly service and great food. The veggie burger tasted fresh, and the Tuscan fries were a real treat.
This lively burger bistro should be on everyone's list who likes burgers and fries. On Saturday night, folks going to symphony, people on dates and families all join in the fun in this moderately priced accessable place. Friendly service, great drinks and a mixed crown add to a convivial atomosphere. It's always crowded so make a reservation.
My husband and I like to go to burger joints / restaurants for Valentine's Day, so we thought we'd try this restaurant. We had been here when it first opened for lunch with our Burger Club and enjoyed the food very much. Not so much on this visit. Our burgers were nothing special and the place was really crowded (burger restaurants are never crowded on Valentine's Day!). The service was average as well. I think we may try it one more time before swearing it off.
Not that good a burger, and $15 bucks. Go to UBurger instead. Or if you want a beer, and a waitress, any decent neighborhood pub.
Great burgers. I had read the fries and onion rings were greasy but didn't find this to be true.Service was very good even on a busy sat. night. Like the fact that you can enter from the inside shopping area.
We ordered the original burger and the turkey burger. The original burger was way better. It is also way greasier, which probably helps. The biggest thing is that the buns were dry on both burgers, which made both seem a little dry. However, the sweet potato fries were very tasty.
Nothing special! Comparable to Steak 'n Shake, but much more expensive.
My friend enjoyed her burger and I LOVED my veggie burger. The fries were pretty mediocre. Onion rings pretty good.
GOOD VALUE//TERRIFIC HAMBURGERS
