4TH & Peabody
These are the dishes you are hungry for, but we put our own spin on the recipes and plating. . This is the type of place you’ll want to try everything, and wouldn’t be disappointed.
Attention to detail is our foundation— we start with custom cut ice stamped with our logo and it only gets better from there.
If spirits aren’t your thing, try one of the local beers on tap. There’s a wide range of offerings, we’re confident you’ll find at least one that sings to you.
We’re cool people looking to hang out with cool people. You can certainly ‘grab a bite’ here, but we’re more about having a great time. We crafted a perfect place for that – a kickin’ environment with a variety of comfortable seating options, great music playlists that don’t overpower your conversation, and fun servers & bartenders ready to make your experience great.
There wasn’t a hostess stand so we just kind of stood there until someone wasn’t too busy to ask us for our reservation and got us seated. Our waitress kept disappearing. But the restaurant atmosphere and the food were good.
We came with 2 groups of 8. Server was nice but just couldn’t seem to get his service level right. My drink was wrong twice but I didn’t send it back the second time because it took so long to get the server back to the table. The food was just ok. Not really impressed and would t recommend or visit again. Sorry - just not a good experience.
With so many great options in Nashville, I thought this one would be one of them. Boy, what a disappointment. 1) Walked in and had to go behind the bar to find the hostess "stand". The young female working it was engrossed in her phone so much so that we startled her -- no smile, no welcome, terrible way to enter a restaurant. Note: we had reservations so she should've been expecting people. 2) The thing we were most excited about on the menu, the chicken skin, was not available. We were informed by the waitress that the menu was being updated. Would've been nice for there to be a note on the menu. 3) The bacon that sounded amazing was really just glorified ham and nothing special at all. 4) The pimento cheese was good and the fish app was very good. 5) There was one waitress who insisted on adding a clearly contrived "love," "doll," or "dear" to the end of every interaction. She was at least 20 years my junior. Now, I'm from the south and appreciate genuine courtesy and deference; this did not fall into that category.
We ate at The Mockingbird the night before and had a delightful experience all around. We were hoping for a repeat, but the 4th & Peabody experience was a big disappointment.
The pulled pork flatbread was amazing!
Love that everything is sharable so you don’t have to pick just 1 meal!
Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Seemed pretty empty. We waited about 2 minutes to be greeted. The hostess/server came over and sat us at a table letting us know another group had already sat there, but then got up and left before she took their order. She was clearly annoyed by that, but not our problem. When we requested new water glasses (not knowing if the other group had sipped from them) she hastily cleared them away, sighed loudly and didn’t say another word to us. She came back and happily took our order while what appeared to be the manager was in close proximity. I would have complained had she not changed her attitude, but I’m pretty sure her nice demeanor was only for her boss. The buffet seems rather simple, so we all ordered off the menu. Food took a while but it was very good. Overall, the food was fine, but I won’t be returning.
Our waitress was delightful but the food as disapppinting. We very much enjoyed our grilled salad but my cauliflower and cheese was crunchy and flavourless. My husband's steak was ok. We did get a half price discount on the cauliflower which helped. We would not return.
Delicious shareable dishes! Good atmosphere and vibes, but still not too uppity. We dined with my two toddlers and the waitress was very nice and accommodating and brought them out their own popcorn to munch on while waiting. Great experience!
Great food, very clean, close to downtown activities.
Great cocktails and a nice selection of local beers. Shareable plates made it easy to try a big portion of the menu. Everything we had was wonderful.
This place is incredible. I love the sharable food items. It allowed my wife and I to sample a few things. Everything tasted amazing and the craft cocktails were so delicious. The staff was so friendly and the overall ambiance is beautiful. I can't wait to go back and try more things.
The menu is strictly bar food but atypical for the area. I had expected to order “regular” dinner food. This is fine if you want small plates and bar service but don’t expect more.
Thank you for the review. We appreciate all feedback we receive in order to better our operation. The menu is our twist on southern cuisine from fried chicken skins, signature 4th & Peabody bacon to chicken & waffles and fried catfish. If you are anything like we are, we always want to eat what our friends order and that is why our menu is designed to be sharable. We want everyone to enjoy all the food on the table.
Great for date night, girls night out, before theatre, after work. Anytime you need to relax and treat yourself!
Thanks Connie, you rock!
My second visit and just as pleased as I was the first time around. Love that I can order 4 oz. of steak & have room to share an appetizer. Great quality and exceptional prices for downtown. Highly recommended.
chefsister, thanks for the great feedback. We loved having you and can't wait to see you again soon.
Great experience. Great service. Took care of us. And the food was delicious
We are very happy to hear this. Hope to see you again soon
Nice restaurant inside a hotel
Good service, good food
Serving up small plates so you'll need a couple dishes per person
Thanks AliaG. We spent over a year developing the menu and are so happy you liked it. Hopefully you can come again.
The staff was super nice and helpful! The food and flavor combinations were amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this resturant. We will be back when we are in town.
Thanks for the great comments. We posted this for the staff to see and cannot thank you enough for speaking so kindly of us. We spent over a year developing the menu and comments like this really make our day. Thanks again.
Their was a reception which was blocking the entrance of the restaurant which was very confusing. We sat outdoors and it was loud from street noise, however, the overall experience was a solid 4. The server was very good and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered 3 small plates and a desert. The Tennessee Tangle and Sympathy for the Devil were amazing! The flatbread was Southern Style flatbread was good and the waffle brownie desert was also very good!
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry about the confusion, everyone loves that front area of the restaurant and it does get crowded sometimes. We are glad you still had a positive experience and would love to have you back. Thanks again
Many good food choices. Menu not your normal entree selection Medium sized portions which were great for sharing several dishes. Value of meal and menu choices excellent.
Thanks Richard, we loved having you and appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for letting us know, we love feedback
Atmosphere is nice, waitstaff was friendly. Small plates and the food was underwhelming.
Sorry we didn't meet your expectations WorthTheWait. Our menu was designed to be sharable so everyone could taste everything, thus the small plates. All feedback is important to us and we use it to better the operation on a daily basis. We are working on a few full plate options for the future menu design.
Loved the menu. We shared 4 plates and all of them were amazing.
Thanks luv2eatout, you review is awesome just like you. Thanks for visiting us and we hope we can host you again in the future.
