We serve classic American fare with an emphasis on Southern traditions. Like many of our favorite Southern cooks who came before us, we are inspired to build on this culinary foundation with new innovations every season. We are proud to bring a variety of fresh, high-quality food to the Nashville community, as we have for eleven years and counting. We love to draw on the bounty of ingredients produced in Middle Tennessee, and we buy local whenever possible. Nashville bakery Provence provides all our sandwich breads, and our famous house blend coffee is fair trade and organic.

Great little bar with great food. Highly recommend to anyone
We were looking for a place away from Broadway and this place was rated high on OpenTable. The food was very good. The catfish fillets were pretty small but the quality was great. It’s a small place and doesn’t hold a ton of people so the noise level was very low.
Food was indifferent, service was excellent
Excellent restaurant within walking distance to the hustle of Broadway. Food was amazing, service was outstanding and we would definitely visit again. Highly recommend a visit to this little gemstone.
Atmosphere, food and drinks were great. Pricing was good but a tad high. Service was slow as it seems they only had two servers working with a full restaurant on a Friday night.
As’a was the best waitress ever !!! Great place with awesome food!!
Excellent food off the beaten path. Small and quaint. Excellent service and selection. Full bar.
Food was excellent and service was on point!
While service was fine, most of the food ordered by 4 of us was terrible. Fried chicken was so dry it was almost inedible. Country fried steak was tough @ tasteless. The Greek salad was awful; chicken dry, feta cheese impossible to find. My sister said it was worse salad she ever had. The fish & chips were rated as very good as was cole slaw.
We had a reservation, but we had to wait for a table with all the walk-ins.
What's the point of OpenTable or "taking" reservation if you don't hold a table???
Would not recommend unless your time has no value.
The food was fantastic! This is a little hidden gem !
Excellent Southern cooking and service!
It was ok, service was good, needs a food presentation boost! It was just ok! They sent us upstairs into an empty dining room would of rather had a booth on the first floor!
Nice breakfast menu. The waffle was light and tasty.
Seemed like a favorite local spot.
Wonderful southern food! Had the fried fish and red beans and mashed potatoes and it was just like sitting down to my grandmother's dinner table. And the service was exceptional. I'll be back!
Good food and great service.
Food was fair. Had to send part back because it was cold.
Disappointed with the overall experience after fighting to find parking...
Such a fun little “dive” with delicious country food😋
We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday in Nashville and his family came from different parts of the US to surprise him. It was important to have a place where we hear each other the first night in Nashville and just have some time to catch up. 417 was the perfect place! The food was so good and the ambiance was perfect. In fact we loved it so much several of us came back for brunch on Sunday! I highly recommend 417. The service was so good! Leslie and Mike were fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. Both visits were exceptional!
Great little place. The waiter was so gracious and super friendly. Would go again.
The food is good but I think the prices are high and the portions are ok.
Great breakfast in a very historic building. Nothing fancy, but great breakfast.
Menu had great variety. The fried green blt was fabulous! We had a party of 12 and no push back with separate tabs.. would definitely come back
Love the food. Delicious and at a great price. Service was excellent.
Excellent food for a wonderful Southern style breakfast. Excellent service and best Bloody Marys in Nashville.
Great food, accommodating staff - would highly recommend.
Wonderful, just wonderful. The blueberry/lemon pancakes are to die for!
My 7 friends and I were very happy with this choice for brunch. Great Bloody Mary’s!
the food was good but nothing special - my mom got a omelette and were not really sure if there was even any eggs mixed in because it seemed like just a bunch of everything thrown together and then tossed on the plate. not very impressive but not the worst i’ve had just okay. was expecting much more from the reviews and awesome looking menu
Stopped in about 1pm hoping to catch some turkey and dressing with a few sides on a Sunday, maybe a pork chop or something off the breakfast menu. Ended up having chicken and waffles which was very tasty. For those who like southern fried chicken breasts this is the place. Others serve it up Nashville hot n spicy but this place has the actual chicken fillets battered up like grandma would make. Save room for the banana pudding. It’s homemade in the kitchen nearly daily and is the best banana pudding we have had in town. I think they got the recipe off my grandma somehow. Nicely done all the way around.
The biscuits are fantastic. I mean biscuits better than biscuit love. Other than that, not so great.... undercooked pancakes, overcooked eggs, rubbery bacon. Seriously, if you are not going for biscuits, just go to waffle house. Very friendly staff!
Never disappointed. food and service awesome. a must do
Very good service. Very good food, and ambience was very nice. We will be back.
Everything is always great when we begin out of town business guests!
The lemon blueberry pancakes and the service saved this review to a "3" . . . it seems the prices are increasing and the quantity / quality of food is decreasing. We were served the saddest portions of breakfast potatoes. My husband got the steak and eggs (over medium). His eggs had runny whites and the steak was small and tough.
Our breakfast was $43 before tip and we did not have any alcohol.
Ok if you’re prepared for greasy food. Which is definitely ok at times.
Service was very good pen time period also friendly the chicken and waffles worry hit with my wife
Super cute. The bloody Marys were awesome!
This place is such a gem in downtown Nashville. The food , the service , the bloody Mary’s!!!! All incredible!!!
