The restaurant was busy, and a friend was half an hour late, as it is a bit tricky to find if you are not familiar with Eastland. We had our serviettes placed on our knees without being asked if we were waiting for another person. Annoying, but probably fair enough. The food was expensive, but was very good and authentic, so fair enough. The staff were very attentive until we finished our coffee, but we were ignored after that. I know I was informed we only had a limited dining time when I booked, but I felt rushed to leave after 2 hrs (at 9pm). Maybe fair enough, No split bill - probably fair enough in a busy restaurant, but the waiter charged one of my party twice, and it took him a while to clarify what had happened. Not good. I was catching up with friends I hadn't seen for a while, and I mistakening booked this restaurant. Maybe good for a special occassion as the food is delicious and authentic, but too expensive, noisy and rushed for a friends' get-together.

I have been here 4 times now.. Gradi has the best gnocchi I have ever eaten! not to mention the pizza is also delicious!!

Noted it was a busy Saturday night but our server seemed to have to cover a large number of tables and we were left waiting too long to order drinks and a meal. Our mains arrived at different times which is just not good enough. Our server apologized and offered complimentary desert and coffee, but the damage was already done and we left early. You pay top dollar at this restaurant and based on our experience it was not value for money. That was the last time at Gradi East.
