I usually have a good time at 4 Bells, but today the chicken and waffles I ordered for brunch was not the best. The chicken was salty and the waffle was a little soggy.

The food was great and the service was good as well. I had requested outdoor seating and found out when I got there that there was a maximum of 4 for outside, we had 5 people. They were able to accommodate us outside which we really appreciated! But if you want to sit outside with a larger party I would recommend going somewhere else.

Mother’s Day price fixe menu, including fried chicken and waffles. Our server Clay was a gentleman and handled our large group with ease. The food was solid all the way around and everyone, especially the moms, left happy and full.

Amazing food and service by people who do what they love and love what they do! I don’t know of a restaurant in the Twin Cities that offers this level of finese and spirit. Oh, and the food? Incredible! A must visit

The whole red snapper is excellent. As good as we've had in Mexico where they catch it that day. Highly recommend this dish.

Birthday !
The appetizers were very good/ calamari & crab cakes.

I had the marlin & it was over done.

I would go back but only for apps & drinks.

It was loud.... waitress was nice.

The scallops were very good, and was a much larger/filling entree than anticipated. We started with Oysters and Calamari, which were also good. The service was great. I would note this is not a late-night find. We had an 8:30 reservation on a Friday night, and because we were chatting, we were a bit rushed as they were closing down the kitchen at 9:30-10.

The younger gentleman that welcomed us at the host stand was very professional and kind. He double checked with myself to noted that the reservation was for my mother’s birthday and it was nice to know that your staff look at notes from guests who book on OpenTable. I also asked a huge favor to see if I could charge my phone safely while I dine (we were from out of town; Canada) and had been out of charging area for the day. They graciously told me that it wouldn’t be a problem, once that employee bought us to our table he again reinsured that my phone would be kelt safe. The service was great. Employees go over and above. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Minneapolis!

This Chef is amazing. The Lampshank was amazing. The scallops were perfection and I loved the server shared a tip to not pour the syrup all over but rather test taste first!

First timer tonight! Had the pleasure of sitting at the kitchen bar top. Every course was delicious and well thought out. Flavor depth was amazing too!! Highly recommend the steak tartar or the calamari if you like a little spice. My pork chop was incredible, cooked and seasoned perfect. My girlfriend had the cod which was equally as good!

What put this place above and beyond for me was I found out the chef visits all of the suppliers for their meat to make sure the animals are being treated with a real life and cared for. Pretty cool to know that much thought is going into a restaurant like this!

We will be back!

Our dinner experience was very nice. Our friends from rural MN really enjoyed the food variety. However one of them was not crazy about the sauce that accompanied her seafood dish. Didn’t go well with the fish she said. My wife loved her scallops and my pork chop was very good and tasty. Server was very nice and personable.

We have been there 3 times, 2 times we shared the snapper, the whole fish is served, real good. Service is slow, but if your seating is near the bar area the bar tend or bus will notice and help the waiter out.

We were very happy with our Easter brunch at Four Bells. The hot cross buns were perfect and the yogurt was very creatively presented and all agreed quite yummy! Chicken and waffles was good chicken and waffles. The benedict with bernaise was really great. Our favorite. I was the only one at the table who appreciated the romaine salad. It was mostly just awkward to serve family style. The steep price of the coffee and cappuccino was the only reason for the value rating.

Amazing Easter menu! I tried food I would never had (and loved it) while still being able to enjoy my absolute favorite (the chicken and waffles).
