We had a lovely lunch on a rainy Saturday. The restaurant is beautifully decorated- not your usual lunch place look- quite elegant. Our food was delicious, enjoyed with a watermelon mocktail. Too full for a dessert. Thank you 35 Beach ! You are a welcomed addition to town.

The food and service were excellent. We shared an autumn salad which was outstanding. Our reservation was for 7:15 and when we sat down the noise level was high (we're old and don't like noise). By the time we were eating our entrees, most people had left and we could talk easily. One small thing that pleased me was that I left my knife on my salad plate, the server took in and returned with a clean knife. At many restaurants, the server has reminded to save my knife if I was going to need a knife for the next course. Replacing the flatware is so much more gracious.

I had the blackened salmon and my husband had mussels. Both delicious. The service was almost too fast for those who want a lingering experience.

Nice job renovating, but the acoustics are terrible. Could barely carry on a conversation with my husband. Food & drinks were good, but pricey.... Will give it another try in a while and hope that something is done with the noise level!

The food was absolutely delicious. The high prices (yes, they're steep) can be amortized over two people since the portions are plentiful. The problem is the noise level. When even one gala foursome arrived, the noise shot up and was SO loud as more people were seated out on the former porch that my dinner partner and I no longer could hear each other. So our conversation basically had to end and we did not, in consequence, stay for dessert, which we would have normally done in a restaurant of such high quality food.

The good: The Bolognese was the best I have ever had! The 3 others in our party loved there dinner as well. The owners and the chef came over to our table and chatted for a while which was nice. The bad: The noise level was too much...we had to yell just to hear each other. Also, it was EXTREMELY bright in all areas of the restaurant. They need to dim the lights a little especially at night!

This is a small and very nice place located in downtown Manchester BTS. A bit expensive, lunch for two was a hundred bucks (Smelts for appetizer, a cheese burger and a lobster roll, a beer and soda water) but we liked the food. I especially liked the smelts. We would definitely go back.

Sadly was not the experience we had hoped for. Service very slow, steak overcooked and all meals not served at the same time. For the price I expect more across all levels, food, service. :(

At our table we had the salmon dish, the roasted chicken and the lobster roll. We all belong to the clean plate club- everything was quite good. Not huge portions but we weren’t looking for that. Had the beignets for dessert- perfect way to end.

Outstanding dinner at 35 Beach. Food, service, seating….honestly, everything was terrific. Easily one of the best places to dine on Cape Ann. I took my daughter to celebrate her acceptance into law school - the staff greeted us with complimentary Prosecco & congratulations. Great night. Will definitely be back. ( chicken and salmon were excellent )

My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. We shared the Burrata with blueberry jam and crostini that was delicious. He had the salmon with Miso and sushi rice that he raved about. I had the 18 oz bone in ribeye. It was perfectly cooked, medium rare. The roasted potatoes were just perfect. There was enough ribeye left over for me to have another meal at home. For dessert we enjoyed sharing the 4 Beignets with separate ramekins with caramel and chocolate sauce. It is a small menu but everything we had was fabulous!!The wine list is also small but it had good choices. The main eating area with the bar was noisy but the side porch was reasonably quiet. For a Wed. night it was really busy. They are also open for lunch. I went with 3 girlfriends and we all had yummy lobster rolls. The lobster was very fresh. The French fries were perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The owner and her staff were all so nice. The renovations are a tremendous improvement to the former Beach Street Cafe. The bar is lovely, the antique molding has been brought out by the wonderful choice of colors and paint job. It no longer smells of grease as the former restaurants did over the past forty years. However, I would strongly urge the owner to invest in acoustical panels. It was very loud in the main room making it difficult to enjoy our dinner conversations. Plus the music was too loud. Other local restaurant have installed acoustical panels making a significant difference and improvement in the ambience. Other than that we look forward to going back to enjoy the delicious food and friendly staff.

Food was excellent. Server neglected to tell us there were specials. Menu is small which is ok if they make seasonal changes but it could become boring over time otherwise. It was VERY noisy, and the restaurant could benefit from a few more soft furnishings to absorb some of the noise.

For just opening, it was fabulous! Wait staff (for first night did their best). Fried smelts are amazing. Fish special was outstanding. Dessert could use some seasonal freshness. Great drink & wine list.
