   Excellent meal and service. I had the crab cakes appetizer and Fall Salad, both very fresh and delicious. My husband had the bacon-cheddar burger, cooked to perfection, and fries that were incredibly good.

   food was excellent. we ordered the butternut squash raviloli, duck, prime rib and pork shank for our entrees. Everyone loved their meal and was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent.

   Although our server was very good and very kind the rest of the staff seemed miserable. A bunch of unhappy people. In my reservation it said that it was my birthday and that I wanted an amazing table. I got a mediocre table and when asked to change it was like a major request. Everyone was short with me and my husband told numerous members of the staff it was my birthday and no one said happy birthday. No one. When we would go to Capital Grille for my birthday they would have confetti on the table and bring a dessert and tell me happy birthday over and over and over. The food is great but I'm not sure I'll come back. Service is key, most unfriendly in the area.

   Super good brunch. The Beaufort Benedict and omelet were delicious. Bloody Mary was good too. The view is pretty spectacular but the weather didn’t permit us to sit outside but that would be very nice. Staff was very attentive. Great visit.

    Really tasty fish and etouffee! Good service with a smile. Very nice water view, new building so nice and clean but lacking some on ambiance . Good time was had by all. The ladies commented they were amazed by the number of stalls in the bathroom!

    Usually an excellent restaurant. Tonight, the service was slow, my wife and I had a dish that we have had several times before, has always been excellent, this time the fish was oddly prepared and the risotto was mush.

    Great meal! Began with Fried Calamari….which was some of the best I have had…delicious sauce! The Mahi Mahi was nicely prepared….rice was very good! The bread pudding for dessert was yummy!     The food was great, the ambiance is very nice with beautiful views of the water. We sat in a booth and the seating was a little off, the booth side seemed high while the chairs were too low for the table. Other than that, it was a great experience.

    First, the chairs, tho comfortable to sit in are very low to the floor and very hard for people with arthritis in the knees to get in and out of and find a comfortable position for legs while sitting. Second, we love to experience different restaurants but it was so noisy that a true conversation between my husband and I was impossible due to him wearing hearing aides and having to deal with surrounding noise. Third, we had the scallops. They were so severely salty, they could not truly be enjoyed. Very disappointing for a restaurant so highly rated and recommended.

    My wife and I have been dining here for well over a year. I can tell you we haven’t had a bad meal or bad experience yet. We went to dinner for Valentine’s Day and as always 34 North didn’t disappoint. The drinks and the food were outstanding as was the wait staff. I would strongly suggest everyone dine here at least once!! You won’t regret it.

    We had a wonderful time at 34° North Restaurant. The entire staff were curious and friendly. The food was excellent, and prices were competitive. The venue as a hole is beautiful and very comfortable. The acoustics are perfect. There was no problem hearing the conversation at the table and what the staff was saying. Overall, this was the best dining experience we have had in the 13 years we have lived in the area. 34° North Restaurant may very well be the best restaurant in the area.

    The food was excellent. The service was good, once they figured out who our server was. Not quite sure how we got seated at a 6-top, with reservations, and then had to wait 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The manager apologized, saying there was a mix-up with the servers. No more hiccups after that. We went for breakfast the next morning, with reservations, and the food and service were great. We will go back.

    This is our favorite place to eat in Carteret County. It has everything: a beautiful setting, really attractive interior, great food, and reasonable prices. The service is always really good, but our server for this visit, Molly, was really excellent. Highly recommend.

    We arrived and were seated quickly, it wasn’t very busy on a Sunday night. Our waiter Jesse was ok, but very busy. Their only appeared to be two waitstaff on duty. We ordered appetizers and the calamari was excellent, our main courses; the duck and mahi were subpar and nothing special. The haricot vert was the best thing on my plate. Our waiter gave us the usual dessert menu, cheesecake and bread pudding were ordered, but not stellar, we heard from another table they had dessert specials that we were not informed of and would have changed our orders. The keoke coffee from the bar was actually quite good. Overall this restaurant is overpriced and overrated for dinner.

    The menu was ample, with a nice variety of dishes to appeal to different appetites. However, the food came out way too fast for made to order meals. The dishes tasted pre-prepared, for the most part. No wow factor for the money. The seats were at odd heights, with chairs being too low and the bench seats being too high. Mixed drinks were super but the wine wasn’t fresh. I ordered a glass of Pinot Gris and the first glass smelled like an old boot. I sent it back, and the new glass was just as bad. When the bill came the wine was still on the check. The atmosphere was decorated upscale, but with servers wearing hoodies and patrons sitting at tables with trucker hats and camo jackets, it lost the special night out feel fast. For the money, you can do better downtown at places on the wharf. 34 North is just not worth the price tag!

    Lunch was delicious. My daughter and I shared the Caesar salad and the bacon cheese burger. It was more than enough. It was a busy brunch and I think they had a server go home, which could have affected our service. But I would definitely recommend a visit for a nice meal!
