    My husband and I went with another couple for dinner last Saturday night. We were very pleased with everything about this place! The food was great and lots of it, drinks were good and on the strong side, service was quick and friendly. We set upstairs and loved the ambiance of upscale dining. Unfortunately we were too full to try a dessert. Maybe next time.

    We had to ask for our server after being sat for 15 minutes and looked over by waitstaff. However, when we did get waited on, Morgan could not have been better. She was outstanding! Food was delicious and the drinks were excellent.

    We went to 34 Chophouse for our anniversary. Didn’t start off great as the hostess took us to a table that was obstructed by a neighboring tables stroller. I’m sure the hostess could see that my wife couldn’t get in the chair without being up against the stroller but we had to move the table ourselves. Things improved after though. The waiter was great and very attentive. I had a nice negroni and my wife had a texoma mule that was delicious. We had the tempura lobster tail for an appetizer and it was very good. The goat cheese mousse paired well with the grilled watermelon and tajin syrup. Wasn’t impressed by the Denver cut waygu, nothing special. Candied Brussels and twice baked potato were good. Wife enjoyed her pasta dish. Had smoked bread pudding for dessert and it was just ok. May return to try some other options. Good ambiance but a bit loud for an anniversary date.

    The calamari was a bit chewy. The steak and twice baked potato were good. The fried chicken was good. The mac and cheese and the bread pudding were very good. Overall a good experience.

    This was my first visit. It’s a nice space in the historic downtown area of Denison. I had a filet and it was very good. A nice cut, beautifully seasoned and cooked to my preference. My husband and I shared both the crab cake and wagyu meatball starters and we both really liked both dishes. The chef definitely has Cajun influence with wonderful savory sauces. The bar is a beautiful space and the night of my visit had live music. The bar and dining room are separated by a glass door, so dinner conversation is not interrupted by the live music. I will go back.

    Very good food and service. They ran out of the draft beer I wanted. We were expecting a band at 7 but they didn't start playing until we were leaving. Very enjoyable even without the band though.

    What a journey our taste buds embarked on at this delightful place! We're just a simple couple, and while this spot is undeniably nice, it didn't quite align with our plain and straightforward preferences. But hold on, don't let our tastes dictate your dining destiny! This place is a hidden gem in the area, and many folks absolutely adore it. So, consider this review a whimsical detour on your culinary adventure, and give it a try. We've learned the ropes for next time, and here's our entertaining take on our flavorful escapade: The Caesar salad, even with its dressing dialed down for a lighter touch, was like a flavor explosion in our mouths! It felt like a dressing disco party, and we might have preferred a slightly quieter salad experience. The Lobster Tempora appetizer was a saucy affair! So much sauce, it could practically host a sauce convention. It's like the lobster did a cannonball into a sauce pool. If you're a sauce enthusiast, you're in for a wild ride! The Calamari was a spicy adventure we won't soon forget. Tip: Go easy on the spicy sauce unless you've got a fire extinguisher handy! We should've requested just half a portion, but our taste buds were brave warriors that day. Instead of the double baked potato, we wished we'd opted for the trusty, old-fashioned baked potato. Sometimes, simple is just what the taste buds ordered. Now, the steak and the Chicken Fried Chicken were the true stars of the show! These dishes hit the mark, delivering a culinary performance worthy of a standing ovation. Service deserves a standing ovation too! Our waitress was a shining star in the dining galaxy, and we tipped her generously for her top-notch service. We'll definitely be back, armed with newfound ordering wisdom for our next gastronomic expedition. Stay tuned for the next chapter in our flavorful foodie adventures!

    We had reservations, but still had to wait. The noise was so bad we couldn't have a conversation. When we got the check, they overpriced two items, and it took them a long time to correct it.

    Wow! That sums up our experience at 34 Chop House. The steaks were superb and cooked to perfection. We heard you could order a loaf of sourdough, which is not on the menu, so we did and holy moly! So delicious! The service was outstanding. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful fine dining experience in the Texoma area! We will be back for sure!!!

    Shrimp cocktail was 4 pieces for $20 Way over priced, Steak was $56 and had 0 flavor. Very under cooked for what we ordered. No where near as good as Texas Road House. Never was offered any type of bread or crackers with our salad. The waiter was excellent!!! Doubt I ever come back to be honest

    Absolutely loved eating here. Such a great experience. I have a gluten allergy and when I found out the Calamari was gluten free I was ecstatic! The filets were cooked perfectly and the crème brûlée was perfect!

    This was our 3rd visit to 34 Chophouse. We went later in the evening. All of our guests enjoyed but I feel the food quality and presentation fell short compared to our previous visits. Hopefully it was just an off night for the chef and our next visit will be better.

    This was my wife and I first time. We had the wagu steaks and twice backed potato. I was delicious. It was Saturday around 6:30. Not to busy and service was great. Will be back forsure.

    Filet went back three times to get it medium rare. There was no question by anyone including staff it was way too raw. Finally brought a new piece which was perfect. Mushrooms were good though small in size with a lot of stems. Brussel sprouts were excellent. Had a nice bottle of wine which was only spoiled by one of several flies buzzing around one of which landed in my friends wine and in his mouth. Unfortunate. Should not be flies in a high end restaurant. Finally, being connected to a bar down a hallway, noise level got very loud when live band began playing in bar. The band was amazing and we enjoyed a couple hours in the bar after, but for dinner it was overwhelming. Our waiter was new and a bit soft spoken, though very attentive and they discounted the filet. No complaints on his service. Finally, desert was outstanding. I would return chalking up the issues to that one night. Still, good for them to know the issues.

    A friend had highly recommended 34 Chophouse, so we visited this Friday evening. The decor and atmosphere was beautiful and upscale, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were spot on. Live music was playing in the bar, but the dining room was still quiet enough for easy conversation. We will be back soon. Love all the great options for dining, shopping, and entertainment popping up in Downtown Denison.

    Outstanding food and wonderful service (thank you, Zack!) The filet mignon was perfect, the lobster tempura was extremely creative and delicious, and even the brussels sprouts were amazing! 34 Chophouse is definitely a top option for fine dining in the Texoma area.

    We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary here, the "34" ice cube was very cleaver. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his wagyu steak and I loved the Eisenhower braised short ribs (although I only ate half - perhaps a smaller portion as they are very rich). No booths to speak of, but we enjoyed ourselves and the smoked bread pudding. Then headed to the back to Doc Holliday's bar which was also another treat. You really must check them out. They have it all!
