I booked a table for five. When we arrived, a waitress checked my name against the booking and seated us. The table had someone else’s name on it, but since she double-checked my name, I assumed this was intentional. We ordered drinks and had been there for about 20 minutes when another staff member came over and asked if we had a booking. I explained we did and that we’d already ordered food. She told us we were at the wrong table and asked us to move. We got up, carrying our drinks through the busy restaurant, but no one showed us to a new table right away. We ended up standing around for about 10 minutes while staff, including managers, rushed back and forth trying to figure out what to do with us. Eventually, a manager seated us in a separate room that looked set up for a 21st birthday party, with high bar tables instead of the low, formal dining table I had specifically booked. When I raised this with the manager, he told me it was first come, first served, which I found strange given I had made a reservation. I went to look for my reserved table myself and found it, then moved my family over there. When I spoke with the manager, he apologized and said he hadn’t realized I’d booked (which was puzzling). I asked if he could bring over the rest of our drinks, but that never happened, so I had to track someone down again. Once we finally had our drinks, a different waitress came by and asked us to repeat our food order, even though we’d placed it 30 minutes earlier. Another 30 minutes later, the food arrived — but it was wrong, with missing elements and incorrect dishes. In the end, they gave us a free round of drinks and a takeaway box for the wrong order, but overall, the experience was a complete disaster from start to finish. I do have to say the waitress we had at the end of the evening was very appologetic and helpful, and recognised what a terrible experience we had.

Very spacious pub. Always a vibe. Service is quick at the bar and never too crowded. Always staff available to help straight away. We came down for the Boogie Bingo which started off a bit slow I thought but other than that great place and I will be back.

A wrong order was rectified extremely quickly, staff very attentive, food was excellent quality...about €40 a head for starter, main and dessert. All good, we'll definitely go back.

Not impressed to turn up for our table (on time) and immediately be told that the kitchens were closing in 10 minutes so we had to hurry with our order. It was a 7.30 table not a late table. Also not impressed that the table wasn’t laid so we didn’t feel welcomed at that point either.

33 South Main is always great, their food and service is top notch. In particular my favorite dish is the Thai Yellow Chicken Curry. I have enjoyed Lunch and Dinner there with parties of 2 - 6 people and always been impressed.

Can I just say the service in this restaurant was incredible From the bar staff to the waiting staff. Everyone knew their job and made us feel very welcome The waiting staff were very helpful and knew everything about what was on the menu Food was amazing It was so good we had lunch and then came back in the evening for dinner Best loaded fries I have ever tasted
