I REALLY wanted to like it here...
It has a very good atmosphere and a cool look, but it just missed the mark.
I was surprised to see so many employees for mid week and especially during the current climate where so many business are struggling to find staff. It looked as though there were a lot of staff walking around but not a lot of people were doing anything.
We waited about 15 minutes before a waiter came over to us who did apologize for the wait, we provided our entire order including drinks. Our appetizers arrived before the drinks and did not come until we were half way through. They were delicious, We didn't finish our apps before our main courses were already at the table. I got the Salmon while my husband got the shrimp. The salmon should have been the star and although very good and cooked perfectly the bed of s rice, edamame, and mushrooms was drenched in yuzu sauce. it was a soup That I couldn't even finish it. The shrimp had excellent plating but also again way too much sauce
It was busy in and it does have great reviews, so maybe we just got them on an off night and would like to try it again.
Fantastic experience amazing food! Server great, he was able to recommend food and so funny. Chef Eric was out greeting guests and we got to meet him.
Great place for a date. Good food, great beer selection. Looking forward to our next visit
Our server Alexis was outstanding. She never forgot anything, she was friendly and efficient, and really a pleasure. The chef/owner came around to check in and we thought that was a really nice touch. Some of the food was great and some was just ok. The pork tenderloin was a little over cooked and dry, but the sauce was delicious. The clam chowder was very tasty. The corn risotto was bland. The grilled chicken on my salad was cooked perfectly. The salad itself was a little boring, but nothing wrong with it. We chose to eat outside because the restaurant was extremely noisy and actually quite cold from the AC. Been there a few times and will go back. It’s a nice restaurant with a good selection, and friendly service.
Food was bad and to make it worse our waitress didn't check in on us even once so that I could get something else and salvage the night. When we were finished and she finally came to our table she told me she "didn't know what it was supposed to taste like." Don't waste a night here.
The food was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful!
Waitress was terrible. I was on a nice date with my girlfriend and we order apps that took 3 years to come out on a Wednesday. Then we are waiting around for 30 mins for her to come back and take our dinner orders or another drink but no she just walked by 20 times. She eventually said “did u guys want anything else” like are you serious we have French onion soup and calamari on the table you know those are apps obv we want dinner. Overall it was a place I would not go back to.
Great food and service!
Excellent! We will definitely be returning. From the specialty drinks to delicious apps and amazing meals! Unbelievable how may specials they had. The chef/owner was kind enough to visit the tables to check in and introduce himself.
Pleasant, food was excellent
We've been to 317 main several times. First time out was horrible but we chalked it up to just opening (they didn't honor our reservation). Second time was just ok. We waited a long time to get seated/served but food was good. Third time was awesome - seated promptly, food was excellent, service was excellent. This last time was really good. Seated quickly. Took a long time for someone to come take our drink orders and again to take our food order. Dim Sum tower was really good and my "burger of the week" was really good. All in all you can't go wrong with 317 Main. Great menu. They care about the food and the quality shows/tastes.
I heard so many good things about this restaurant and they are true. There is a delicious diverse menu. The service was friendly and efficient, even on a busy Saturday evening. The manager,Perry, stopped by our table to make sure everything was fine and chatted with us. Definitely a great place and I'll be back.
average brunch food. good... just not amazing. Server was great.
We have been here many times. Food is outstanding. Service was just ok. We waited for our drinks forever and the appetizers. Love this place and will go back.
The mac and cheese did not taste good, the waiter did not come over to fill our waters once until we had to find him to ask at the end of dinner
Visiting NY on business and wanted something good to eat. Found this place on Open Table. The hostess sat me at a high top on the bar area. The bartender Mike served me. He was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Bowl and it was soooo yummy. The short rib was tender, the noodles al dente, and the jus was full of flavor and definitely enough in the bowl so I didn’t feel the need to ask for more. Great portion. I honestly didn’t think I’d finish it but as I waited for a togo box I kept eating and almost had nothing left to box up.
My cocktail was an Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve. For dessert I ordered a brownie sundae and it was delicious. The brownie is not served warm but it was still very good. The bartender also gave me a shot of Kahlua and Baileys and it went perfect with my dessert. I’m glad I picked 317 Main Street and the chef came out the kitchen and took a pic with me.
first time here.
food was fair, stuffed squash flowers (3)were a disappointment the top one was perfect size two on bottom were small hidden by size of top one
chicken sandwich looked great but cutlet was a bit chewy
shrimp Taco's were Good!
no ketchup server with fries, put a bottle on the table?
dessert was fancy and tasty but not worth price
maybe we will return and maybe not
the best part is they did not rush us , it was a Tuesday at lunch time
Food, first and foremost, is outstanding. Chef Eric and team always bring it and don’t disappoint.
Service from hostess/host to waitress/waiter is buttoned up and always friendly.
317 has become our family’s go-to spot for dining, whether brunch, lunch, or dinner.
The Marketplace in the back just adds another level with to-go desserts and snacks that echo the quality served in restaurant.
We were in the back room which has less ambience then the front room but is quieter. The good was excellent. We had the scallops over corn risotto- the scallops were tender yet crispy on the outside. The berry tart was light snd fresh a great way to end the meal. The service was delightful. We enjoyed the food but will be back for the service.
Food was excellent. Waitstaff was prompt, courteous, friendly and super helpful. We’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints!
The service was really horrible. The waiter was too busy socializing with colleagues and had way too many tables to take care of. He never asked if we needed more beverages or anything. He never came back to the table. The Salmon was very fishy. Some food was too salty and my husband’s scallops were way over cooked. The onion soup was great. The waiter never even asked us if we wanted dessert or anything else. I couldn’t even get his attention to get the check and when I finally got it I had to give it to another waiter to run credit cards. Very dissatisfied.
Josephina was incredible. Just a delight. Food was delish also.
Great menu, very clean. I would definitely go back.
French onion soup in an onion bowl. Make sure you eat the bowl as well, don’t let it go to waste. Can never eat French onion soup anywhere else again. Great vibe, a table visit from the Chef, wonderful experience.
Loved the short rib tacos and shaken Cesar salad !!!
Service was very poor. Initially took 15-20 min for someone to take our drink order. Then they forgot to bring 1 of the drinks after the others arrived. Took another 15 min to bring that glass of wine.
3 of the 4 dishes had to be sent back because they were undercooked/raw. 1 duck and 2 salmons.
Front part of restaurant had decent ambiance but we were sat in the back room which is used for live music with a crappy looking stage and no ambiance at all.
The chef’s daughter has celiac so he was extremely accommodating when I asked for gluten free. He even came out to the table to speak to me about it! Great restaurant!
Awesome restaurant very nice wait staff. Very cool that Eric the chef came out and talked to us during the dinner. Swordfish is a must at this establishment and the braised ribs were great. My wife and I had a nice anniversary dinner and will definitely make our way back soon!
The food was fabulous, the hostess and waiter were very friendly, Chef Eric made a personal stop at our table. One suggestion for improvement: an awning or some other form of shade for the outdoor (sidewalk) seating.
good food, good service. really loud inside. had to sit outside
Food was delicious, wait wasn’t long at all. Our waiter was fun and friendly: only thing is the food we ordered was not to our liking. Asked for no bun, no cheese, no onions rings or pickles and got it all
Had a wonderful time at dinner, the service and food were great!
The food was good and good drinks, I will be back.
It was our anniversary, my wife loved it! Awesome short rib dish. Great service. Thank you!
Not the first time dining here. Food and drinks delicious, will come back again and again until I try everything on the menu! Never disappoints!
Great food, great staff, great service!
Absolutely wonderful experience! Our first time there, the food and drinks were delicious, our server was excellent! Will definitely be back thanks for a great experience. Let the man go margarita - wonderful!
Nice evening…everything was good…
Am a repeat visitor will continue
