30 Main Bistro Ratings and Reviews
I always order the pork tenderloin, and as usual, it was great! The sauce seemed different than before, so they may try to keep the standards fresh by changing little things along the way. My date enjoyed his meal as well, Mac&Cheese with pulled pork, then the burger with onion rings...he eats a lot.
New Year's Eve at 30 Main is the place to be! $60 price fix menu with your choice of incredible salads, yummy soup, fantastic appetizers, and outstanding entrees. Come on over, they are still serving dinner. Two floors of entertainment, a band and a DJ. $35 charge for an all night open bar. Valet parking. It is a win win situation.
Pretty bad all around. The service was chaotic, no one knowing what food items went to which table. Which is odd, because it was a set menu. Plus, it wasn't all that busy for New Year's Eve. The food was just okay. Went upstairs after dinner, where they had a band whose so-so singer was also out of tune most of the time; and the music was not very good. Everyone was expecting to dance. But you couldn't dance the music. The DJ downstairs wasn't much better. Decided to leave early, and ring in the new year at home. Very disappointed.
Chef deserves much praise. I ordered the marvelous large fall salad filled with crisp fresh veges and topped with cranberries and roasted pumpkin seeds to accompany my DELICIOUS freshly baked to perfection Ratatouille tart entree. My husband enjoyed their SPECIAL Gemelli Shrimp Pasta entree. This gourmet restaurant is a neighborhood treasure.
Family from out of town accompanied us for a Friday evening dinner celebration in spite of the icy streets and cold weather. We ordered several different hot gourmet entrees. Each proved delicious and praiseworthy. These included the Filet Mignon topped with crab, the Fish and chips, the Salmon, and my husband's favorite Spanish Paella. From appetizer salads to scrumptious desserts the evening was a super success!
My son and I visited 30 Main Bistro on Halloween after his tennis lesson. He loves salmon and eats it for the protein and health benefits for training in his sport. This restaurant offers various selections with salmon. He and I both had salmon(excellently done)! After lunch, we had tea, which was a Mighty Leaf selection(flavorful teas)! To top it off, the owner’s mother brought out cupcakes for Halloween! I would definitely return to this restaurant and would recommend this place to someone else!
My newest favorite entree at this gourmet restaurant is the ratatouille tart. Tart flavors can be enhanced when served with a side of fresh tossed salad or coleslaw. My husband's favorite continues to be the seafood paella. For dessert he recommends their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake.
The food was very good, much better than I expected for a local neighborhood restaurant. This was our first visit, and we will be back. The owner is a great neighborhood supporter, often donating a percent of his sales to local community projects and charities.
My friends and I always choose 30 Main for our get together's. We meet about every 3 to 4 months during the early part of the week it is usually not too crowded so we can sit , chat and catch up. Our dinners were delicious and the service excellent. Mary Ann was our server and she was attentive but not intrusion. She let us enjoy our catch up conversation. We arrived at 6 p.m and didn't leave until a little after 9. It is always a treat to be at this Restaurant!!
A neighborhood favorite especially for dinner. Highly recommend sockeye salmon entree. Sides are also always delicious. Street parking and additional back lot parking easy to access. Directly across the street from Septa rail station so really no need to drive if coming from center city.
Our third visit for gourmet dining at this marvelous restaurant in our neighborhood. Salmon entree was excellent served with plentiful portions of both fish , mushrooms and fresh green beans. Highly recommend adding their authentic garlic bread. Aslo enjoyed their marvelous newest dessert cake...Limoncello that was very light and fluffy....best ever. Chefs deserve great praise as does our thoughtful helpful server Maryanne.
The special sounded great, scallops, lobster, and calamari, but when it arrived there was only one very small piece of lobster, two small scallops. There was only one server for the entire restaurant and she had trouble finding our table. I guess we failed by not asking more about the special.
Dinner entree choices are ample and enticing. ALL food is prepared excellently and VERY tasty. Some earlier choices we crave are no longer on the summer menu like Filet-Mignon. Wish more green/yellow vegetables and rice side dish choices werw offered. Disappointed not being able to order baked potato rather than various forms of mashed or fried options. Big problem for me and my husband is that we are allergic to chocolate, which is on MOST of the many enticing dessert options. Wish they would add some pies like key lime and/or blueberry and/or carrot cake.
