Terrific new appetizer of the fried brussels sprouts, loved the salmon, and the Parisian gnocchi. Brussels as side for the salmon were undercooked (raw inside) though. Two small comments re drinks. Waiter recommended the ginger temperance which sounds awful but was fine. But mocktail lineup (2, one of which is lemonade) are both on the sweet side. The Inn at Boltwood can do better! At least add phony Negroni to the lineup: it comes in a bottle and requires no bartender work.

Despite being seated next to the kitchen, the staff was relatively unobtrusive. The three-course menu has not changed much year-to-year, which is why we go. However, their signature presention of turkey changed. They used to heap everything onto the plate and cover with gravy. However the new chef decided to make a more traditional look separating potatoes from stuffing from carrots and meat. It still tasted great and moist, but wished for the old eclectic look. Also there seemed to be fewer diners than before.

We have always cooked for Thanksgiving till this year so we needed a very good experience and we got one. Perfectly cooked turkey and I was served both light and dark meat, well made gravy, excellent smashed potatoes. Though I would have apple pie at a home Thanksgiving, I loved the pumpkin mousse. Service was amazing and the building is old New England charm, replete with a fireplace in the women’s room.

When we finally got our food it was delicious We arrived at 11:45 for a 12noon reservation. We were seated promptly and had a nice table. The waitress was cold and not friendly. We ordered drinks. All good. Then ordered our breakfast at noon. We waited and waited. The waitress came back once to see if we needed more drinks. She came back about 12:50 and said the food would be out soon. No apology about the wait. Around this time I went to the host and asked if there was a manager, I told him of our long wait. He said the kitchen was backed up. Never heard from the manager. Finally the food came at 1:10. The food was good. The wait unacceptable. It should not take that long for eggs Benedict and French toast

If you're going to spend 220 bucks, go to The Blue Heron in Sunderland or The Farm Table. The food was ok, the service was efficient, but not very friendly, and they did not really go out of their way to make our anniversary special. I asked for a specific wine to be on the table. They could have called me before saying they didn't have it and maybe suggested something else. Instead when we got there they were just like yeah we don't carry that. It was a surprise for my husband so he was like huh? I was bummed. Also, the drink Goin Nowhere is accurate because it's wayyyyy too strong....Overall everything was just good, but should be excellent for the price.

Unfortunately, we did not have the best dining experience. We had ordered the roasted chicken entree, which was undercooked. It was sent back to the kitchen to be rectified. However, it was still undercooked for the second time to our disbelief. We brought it to our waiter's attention, but he disregarded our comments. In addition, the service was exceptionally slow, and the meals were fairly overpriced. I've dined at many highly rated restaurants listed on Open Table. This was by far the most disappointing.

Absolutely amazing! From the food to our server…not one detail missed. I highly recommend the baked Brie with lavender honey and mussels to start with and the lobster roll main. Way too full to enjoy dessert, but I’m sure they are wonderful too! We hope to return soon and this time eat outside by the heaters and fire place.

This dinner was to celebrate my husband’s Birthday. We enjoyed an early dinner in a quiet night, which we wanted. It was a relaxing evening in beautiful surroundings. We have frequented before. My only misgiving was that we did not sit on the patio with the heated lamps, which was warmer than inside.

Meh…a bit disappointing. first time dining here..looked for a good restaurant while on an extended weekend vacation in the area. The menu offerings looked very good . tuna tartare appetizer was delicious; scallops entree good also; duck was so so. Service was very slow. Couple next to us had their entrees delivered before us even after being seated much later than us. Waiter was pleasant and apologetic for the slow service. We were comped for capucinno /espresso but even that took a long time to arrive.
