   I brought my family of 6 here for Father’s Day and it was a delight. Our little girls, ages 4 & 5, ran around the grass while we enjoyed the beautiful Hudson River view. We ate in the section outside and took in the fresh air while still enjoying the view of the Palisades. The food was great, drinks were top notch and deserts were excellent. Very classy spot.

   The restaurant is a very good job of letting you know what food has dairy and gluten. I asked if they had gluten-free rolls or bread and the response was not now. Wasn’t sure if that meant they were out of it or if they were considering serving gluten-free products, but haven’t made that decision yet. Celiacs don’t need food that has always been gluten-free to be marked gluten-free. The point of labeling a menu is that the preparation and the ingredients make the item gluten-free. Tomatoes, lettuce have always been gluten-free. So while the menu says, “let us know if you have any allergies” my experience when I did let them know was that the restaurant did nothing except say, “I guess you can’t eat that” from the top of the menu to the bottom of the menu. I found a couple items, but there could’ve been a lot more with a very little effort by the restaurant. They could’ve taken the time they spent labeling the menu to purchase gluten-free bread or pasta and that would’ve tripled the amount of items I could have eaten. Disappointing. As a teenager in 1978 in Europe, every restaurant had several gluten-free items that were often vegan and here we are 27 miles from New York and we are in the Neanderthal land. A common excuse restaurants use is that they don’t want the liability, so they can add a line to the menu that’s already label to death for no reason that the kitchen is not a gluten-free kitchen. People who are truly genetically challenged and can’t have food contaminated with gluten won’t go there begin with.

   The server was extremely pleasant and considerate. The food was delicious!! However it is on the pricey side.

   What a great place to have a birthday lunch. Delicious food, along with attentive service and a view that you can’t beat. The lobster roll and calmari Caesar salad were the best. I always look forward to returning!

   Not a place for older adults as it was very loud. The hostess was pleasant and caring. She seated us at a nice table with room to stow a walker. She also held exit doors for us. The food was abundant but average. The carrot cake dessert was EXCELLENT and big enough to share.

   Everything was perfect! Beautiful view, we weren’t rushed, cocktails were amazing, and everyone loved their food. Saturday, yet we could order from a brunch menu or the regular one!
