3 Sheets is a full service waterfront restaurant on Hayden Island in North Portland. We are proud to showcase local ingredients across our menu highlighting the bounty of the great PNW. Dealing directly with local farms, fishermen and foragers paired with our sweeping waterfront views of the Columbia River and Mount Hood gives us the opportunity to craft a truly unique experience for our guests. From classics such as Fresh Halibut Fish & Chips, Kobe Burgers and Raw Oysters on the Half Shell to our creative Daily Special Menu, we definitely have something for everyone! Happy Hour served daily from 2pm-6pm, 9pm-10pm and Sunday 2:00pm- close! Daily drink specials, rotating draft selection and creative cocktails available from our full bar and outdoor dining available(weather permitting) on our expansive patio right on the Columbia River!

We don't recommend the House Red on Happy Hour(!), but our food was very good. We enjoyed tasty fish tacos and shepherd's pie.

Great experience for Portland dining month! The food was truly excellent and a great deal. The wait staff was attentive and even noticed and replaced our candle when I accidentally blew it out! And they didn’t rush us but let us linger over our bottle of wine. The only issue was parking - I didn’t get towed but feared it most of the night as the sign said 3sheets this way but every sign in that lot then said resident only.

We were trying the Portland Dinning Month and choose 3 Sheets at the harbor for the view and we we satisfied with everything there, service, food, overall was great dinning.

Grace was very attentive. The kitchen had some equipment issues so the crab cakes weren’t perfect. They were very receptive to making it right.
The cocktails and lamb lollipops and fish tacos were very delicious.

Four of us went to try a new restaurant out via 3 for $33. The crab cakes, the size of a large scallop, were doughy and mushy. The clam chowder was more like corn chowder with a few bits of clams thrown in. The lamb chops were purple, center still cool and the colossal shrimp dinner were still raw in the middle. Perhaps, we should have spoken up to the preparation but we should have also been asked for our preference.

The booking app put us on a high table at the bar and the manager quickly came to us and offered us a more romantic setting at the dining area since we’re on a date. That was a really nice move and we really appreciated that. The food was fantastic and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu. I bet the view is great during the day time. We were there during dinner. Definitely recommended.

Our food was very good. We enjoyed the crab cake Benedict, the corn beef hash and a pork belly omelet and a starter of the donut holes w/caramel sauce. The only comment thats less than glowing about the meal is one of our guests requested orange juice and the waitress returned with a glass with a small glass with about small amount and told us they were out of orange juice. She gave it to him for free and we all laughed but it was a little surprising that was an item they ran short on. Service was leisurely which fit our schedule but I wouldn't come here for a quick in and out meal. I look forward to coming back when it's warm enough to enjoy dining out in the patio and enjoy a more expansive view of the river.

The 4 of us went there for the PDX March Dining on 3/2/19 and were impressed with the food especially the honey-glazed carrots (1st course), crab cakes (2nd course) and Lamb lollies (3rd course). the Camarones a la Diabla entree was pretty good with big scrumptious shrimps.
Two of us opted for the wine pairing- excellent choices but portions could be better.
Our young male waiter was very attentive and provide us great service.
The restaurant is tucked in the back of the apartment buiding,facing the dock . We took a while to find it.It is truly a little gem hidden away on Tomahawk island.

The location of 3 Sheets is perfect, right on the harbor with a great view of the sunset. We will definitely return in the summertime to enjoy the outdoor seating when available. We were seated promptly after arriving and the waiter described both the regular menu and the Portland Dining Month menu in detail. We decided to try both options on the PDM menu for the first 2 courses and both chose the lamb for the third course. The honey glazed carrots were really tasty, cooked perfectly and the goat cheese was a nice addition. The frisee salad was not my taste in dressing but my husband enjoyed it. The chowder was one of the best I have had, all the veggies were diced small so it was easy to eat and flavorful. The crab cakes were also well prepared. The star of the show was definitely the lamb course with polenta and spinach. The lamb was cooked perfect (medium) and seasoned well. My husband and I agreed that the best thing we ate all night was the polenta though, it was seasoned properly and cooked spinach mixed in hit the spot. All in all, a great atmosphere, great food and a great night.

Unfortunately my husbands dinner had to be returned 2 times and after that we ended up leaving. Waitress was great. Just a bummer we went out for a special time and my husband had the leftover pizza the babysitter didn't eat at home (which is in Skamania County :( )

The food and service was top-notch. I have been here several times for lunch and happy hour but this was my first time for brunch. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food. I had the crab cake omelette and it was so great, lots of crab. I will definitely be back for brunch.

The food was just ok, nothing special. The pasta special was cold when served and also a bit undercooked. The fish tacos were uninspired. The appetizers were really good and the service was amazing. So kind of a so-so experience overall.

We had dinner on New Year’s Eve with friends. We made our reservation very last minute and as a favorite of everyone’s it just made sense to go to Three Sheets. They had a pre-set menu with wine pairings. Initially we were hesitant as it’s not the “normal” menu. However the Chef did a great job in creating the menu! Service was great as always!

Great service and great food. We were there for New Year's Eve, and we had a lovely prix-fixe dinner. The people who work there are outstanding. We'll definitely be back.

I've eaten here for brunch and dinner now. Brunch was phenomenal, and the crab cake omelette was amazing. My friend had the hash and also said it was really very good. Coffee was very tasty and kept coming. Dinner was also nice. The drinks were tasty and there were lots of options. We had three appetizers and all were good, with the Brussels sprouts and pork belly and buffalo wings being our favorites. The entrees were ok, but nothing that blew us away. The fish tacos were a bit bland, but the pineapple salsa was good. The service was great and attentive.

First time. First of all, at night, good luck finding it. I actually now wish we hadn’t!
A friend had the steak and said it was good.’ I ordered chowder and salad and had to send the chowder back. It was the worst I have ever tasted, and I’ve eaten a lot of chowder. My other friend had a burger, which was ok. However, the fries came out when she was over half done eating. They were dry and looked like cardboard. I had a glass of wine that was about three swallows., then the chowder wasn’t taken off our bill and that was an ordeal. Service was ok, other than that.
With all the incredible restaurants in Portland, there is absolutely no reason to ever eat here!!

This visit was much better than our last. Lisa, our server, was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection and the pricing for what we had was industry average. There is a new gm and I think she has really improved the restaurant as a whole.

This was my first visit and I have to say I was disappointed. I’ve heard great things about 3 Sheets and was really looking forward to it. I met a girlfriend for lunch recently; the only bright spot was the seafood chowder which was really good. Both of our salads were meh - too many greens with too few add-ins to provide much flavor. My friend ordeeed the daily special mushroom soup, which was not even warm when it arrived. She asked our server to have it warmed, which he did graciously. However, it still wasn’t warm and he never checked on us again to see if the soup was okay. And throughout our lunch there were only a handful of tables so not sure why the service was not more attentive. All in all, not sure I’ll go back.

Disappointing. Oysters were not cleaned properly and actually had shell shards in the oyster along with grit. The “fresh” halibut had been frozen, and was rubbery and chewy. I have never seen anyone that could destroy pork belly, but they achieved this feat. They really need to just adjust there menu to be a low style bar menu and quit trying to over achieve. They would be better as a beer and burger joint. Give up the pretense.

This is a great spot during the summer months, so you can sit outside on the large patio overlooking the marina. The food is good; yesterday when I dined there, the service could have been a little better, but it was OK. I will come back for sure.

Chowder, a signature dish was lukewarm at best, when I told the waitress, she just said I'll advise the kitchen. Halibut portions were small, but well prepared, lots of cream corn. No bread served or offered with the entre, a nice place but not worth the price.

My first visit was great. The weather did not permit outdoor seating, the main dining room was very crowded and noisy, tables extremely close, so we opt to sit against the wall in the bar. The service was great, the drinks were great. Perhaps when the lights are turned down a small table candle would add to the ambience. All in all we enjoyed our time there.

We were very disappointed in the food overall. Between the 4 of us, we ordered a chicken salad sandwich, a Cubano and fish and chips. The fish was fine. The other two dishes ranked from meh to terrible. Worst Cubano I have ever had. It would be an okay sandwich if it wasn’t called a Cubano. The fries we were served were luke warm and it took 15 minutes to get them replaced. And they were not that busy.
The desert they comped is was good - bananas foster. If we had just gone there for drinks and desert we would have been happier. This place is way too expensive for the quality of food and level of service we received.
Do yourself a favor and cross the bridge to Vancouver for better a better dining experience just about any place else.
