We are members and really loved the venue and the wine is good. The food was to die for. Unfortunately, the menu has changed and they have a new chef. I am sure he is really good but the choices don't seem to really fit well in my opinion. I have eaten there a few times with the new chef and the food just wasn't fantastic. The service has really improved however and we love Maddy. She is on top of it and very personable. We will continue to go relax there, but maybe not plan on eating lunch.

We have been to 3 Horse Ranch a number of times and always enjoy their terrace. It’s a real treat to have some good wine and look out over the vineyard hillsides. The menu has changed since our last visit and prices are on the high side. There was a variety of tapas that looked good but most were entrée priced. We enjoyed our lunch- especially the homemade Dijon mustard served with the burger. The setting can’t be beat, but next time we may just come to taste wine and share an appetizer.

The service, food and wine are all exceptional here. It's a fun place to go for lunch. It's a bit pricey but a nice place to spend an afternoon. We are wine club members so our quarterly wine tastings are also a draw. If you have an aversion to dirt roads please stay away and leave the place to the rest of us.

We hadn't been out to 3 Horse Ranch Vineyards in several years until we heard that there had been significant growth. My husband and I along with two friends drove out on Sunday afternoon for our 2:00 PM reservation. There was already a good size crowd there on the patio and many filled tables inside. Our first encounter with a staff person was at the hostess stand. She was all business, and didn't seem to want to be working this day. I told her we had reservations inside. She immediately took us to a high-top. I explained that our reservation was for a regular table because I knew we would not be comfortable at a hight top. We are a party of a certain age and somewhat "height challenged." She left us standing there and returned a few minutes later taking us to a corner table near the kitchen door. Not great, but "oh well." The next staff person we met introduced herself as she pointed to the menus on the table. We told her we had not been here before and asked for recommendation. She said we could buy a bottle of wine, wine by the glass, or we could do a flight tasting and the menu was self-explanatory. In our 25 plus years of going to wineries and participating in tastings, this was a different experience. The only reference to the wines was that they were "dry" and we could do a "red" or "white" flight of three wines which were pre-selected. We figured it all out and selected 2 red flights and 2 white flights. We also ordered a few appetizers for the table. Overall, we were disappointed that this was not an actual "wine" experience, but a restaurant. When it was all said and done, we did not learn anything or gain an appreciation of the wines at 3 Horse Ranch. Additionally, the presentation of the charcuterie board was poor. There was no explanation of the offering and no utensils provided to be used by 4 people. Not sure we will make that long drive out there any time soon.

Bruce did a wonderful job of making us feel as if we were important customers. He explained the menu and the days specials, and checked on us during our visit to see if we needed anything. He was attentive and put up the umbrella when it got too hot to sit outside. Congrats on hiring such an asset to your winery. PS Wish the mussels and fries was back on the menu!

Slow service. It was very busy, but we sat for 15minutes without anyone stopping by our table. Food excellent. Waitress was not very attentive, maybe she was over worked.

Food and ambience are always good here but there are often struggles with service and this was no exception. All food ordered took a long time and the patio wasn't even busy. In addition, we ordered some spinach artichoke dip but when they delivered it, it was obvious that there was not enough pita bread to go with the amount of dip provided. I immediately mentioned that we're going to need more bread. It took me asking two more people after that before we got any, and then it wasn't even the pita bread. They gave us a loaf of bread with olive oil and vinegar, and then charged us $5 for it. Seriously?? Just provide enough bread to go with the dip in the first place. I would have disputed it and had them remove it from the bill, since we were not informed of the charge ahead of time, but we didn't notice until after payment because that was the only time we saw an itemized bill (which is another issue). Also, overall, we saw expediters more than we did our server and when I had a problem locating our online gift card, the server was not really helpful in trying to find it. Such a lovely place but service can really make or break an experience.

Clams were good but had 5 dead. Snails were good but for the price a little expensive. Tri Tip sandwich Taste good but where's the beef for the price? Onion soup was good. All the platters were good. Missed the haystack onion rings. Other than that service was good. This was the results from table of 8..

The steamed clams did not have any flavor. Would suggest a lot more garlic. Spinach, artichoke, lemon dip was delicious, and the tri- tip sandwich was good. Friendly environment, perfect weather too!

Every one who works their were very courteous. Food was fabulous and delicious (including the desserts). We loved that we could do some wine samples…. Our wait person, Chelsea, was attentive, knew the menu well, and was fun…. Chelsea gave us adequate time to review the menu. Always a fun time!!!

We frequent three horse ranch and we absolutely love it more and more every visit! The food seems to be getting better, if that's even possible as it is delicious to begin with. The service has always been exceptional and the ambience is charming and spotless. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the area and our absolute favorite winery.

This is not our first-time having lunch here. We are members of the wine club. We enjoy all the choices that the restaurant offers. We always order the haystack and our friends ordered the truffle fries. We all shared the appetizers. I and our other guest ordered the grilled cheese twist. The bread is toasted and the combo of cheeses great. My husband ordered the tri-tip rather than his usual the hamburger. He couldn't decide which he likes better.

We always enjoy 3 Horse Ranch. The food was excellent and enjoyed the wine. Had a Syrah/Mourvèdre blend and it was outstanding. The baked goat cheese and Brie dishes delicious. Will be going back.
