We are a cozy, contemporary Italian restaurant serving pizza, wine, pasta dishes & regional Tuscan cuisine.
3 Giovanni is a comfy neighborhood restaurant. Elbert likeabke. I just picked the wrong entree for me. My husband liked his ravioli very much and we both loved the affogato.
Food was just OK. The pasta didn’t seem to be homemade (at least it didn’t taste homemade). Cute space though and good service. Prices were decent too for NY!
Love this neighborhood gem.
The greeter was among the least friendly I've seen. Server not much cheerier. food deliverer & water bearer was excellent.
Overall, It was great! There were some flies flying around our table but I think it’s because the door was open. The service was great and the food was wonderful! The decor is beautiful
Small intimate setting, delicious food, discrete efficient service, surprisingly affordable. On my list of 10 favourite restaurants in NYC.
The food was very good and the ambiance was quite pretty - only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars all around is because the staff is too "relaxed" and "unprofessional", leaving one with a so-so taste, even though the food itself was quite tastey!
I was very pleased with my choice of this restaurant!!
Service started a little slow, but that was quickly erased by the rest of the evening!
The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. The profiterole dessert was out of this world.
I would definitely go back again and again!
Thank you Gent for the Warm welcome! We had great service & delicious food, the pizza & beet salad was my favorite! My friends & I had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday & the desserts were amazing too! The best tiramisu ever! Looking forward to returning soon!
After walking by regularly, we decided to give 3G a try. Now kicking ourselves for not doing it sooner. Comfortable and cozy layout. Fabulous food - wow! Not to mention the generous-sized martinis! All at very reasonable prices.
All the way around great experience!
a lovely little place right next to the skirball center in the village. traffic made us very late, but they kept our table, and were very helpful in getting us served and out in time for our event.
food was great (delicious arugula salad!) and a very drinkable inexpensive chianti with a generous pour (something rarer and rarer these days). another reviewer mentioned the tiramisu, which is indeed outstanding.
they also seat most pairs at small square tables, at two adjacent sides, so one is actually able to have a conversation--SO much better than the rank of tables against a wall where you're sitting closer to your neighbor than to your dinner partner.
high praise all around for a special restaurant!
ALways guaranteed a good meal here. I love the ambiance
Nice neighborhood restaurant, good food and a pleasant, relaxing ambiance. And the prices are quite reasonable. A great discovery, which is now on our "go to" list.
The food, atmosphere and service was wonderful. A real neighborhood gem.
Good Italian food in a lovely little restaurant. Staff are very friendly and the prices represent excellent value for Manhattan.
One of my favorite restaurants.
The restaurant is charming, the staff made us feel right at home, and the food was out of this world. We almost felt like we were in Italia!
Can't wait to come back.
Always wonderful food and service with very personal attention!
We had a 10 person group dinner here and the service was impeccable, the food delicious and the value undeniable. They made the dinner planning seamless as well, requiring no prefix menu like most places in NY. The atmosphere was also beautiful and we had a large table tucked in the back which was perfect. I would highly recommend!
The food was really good and interesting. The ambiance was superb as was the service.
Great place to go
Unfortunately, very loud music after 11 pm (this is not supposed to be a disco club)
Great little restaurant.
The ambiance and decor are cocooning.
Staff were really pleasant and pamper us when not crowded.
Pastas and pizzas were delicious!
Only the cheesecake was a disappointment.
Je recommande mais pensez à réserver car forte affluence.
wonderful place to have dinner especially before a show at Skirball - all the staff was warm and welcoming...food was fresh and delish!
The staff were very patient with the fact that three out of our group of five were quite late. They served us graciously, got us out in time to go to the theater, and were unfailingly attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent, and the value very good. We could hear each other over the noise of conversation, and were thoroughly comfortable. I will certainly recommend the restaurant to others.
Excellent freshly made pasta and salads reasonably priced. Pleasant decor and ambiance and attentive service.
Nice comfortable place to dine. Close to NUI.
My two friends ordred the rib-eye and were disappointed—I had some and we agreed it was too chewy
We enjoyed a nice family reunion celebration for dinner on a Friday night. It was a casual, energetic, and yummy! Would definitely recommend!
Great pasta, friendly staff.
Great little restaurant I didn’t know existed! The bread before the meal came hot and crunchy. Staff were really sweet. Pastas were delicious!
Very accommodating of our group, service was quick, and ambiance was fun (on the romantic side but still a treat). We recommend the octopus appetizer!!
We enjoyed our visit to 3 Giovani very much. They are very helpful nd accommodate the elderly with walkers. We were not rushed, and enjoyed out meals. This is a very good family/community restaurant,
which we can highly recommend. And, they have great pizza, which you can call for to eat in, take out or have delivered.
Delicious food, attentive service, great menu. It's a quaint restaurant with excellent pricing
Warm and intimate environment. Friendly and welcoming staff. Ordered fettuccini in a mushroom cream sauce with baby shrimp and asparagus. Incredibly delicious dish!
Hidden gem, maybe the best value in nyc for quality Italian food.
Very good food in an attractive setting in the Village.
Food was delicious, service very attentive. The only slight negative was that the tables are very close together, but I can forgive that given how much I enjoyed every other aspect of dining here. LOVE that they offer a full and proper lunch menu on Sunday, instead of the usual tiresome Sunday brunch menu.
Nice, cozy restaurant. Good food, freshly prepared and good service....not rushed, which was perfect. Wine list for a bottle was too pricey. A bottle of wine started at $50, and went upwards....it's not necessary to have such an extensive, expensive wine list in this little neighborhood restaurant. There should have been a nice bottle of house wine available starting at $40. Prices by the glass seem more reasonable. Liked the relaxed atmosphere. Will go again.
Had a short break between acts of Gatz. Quickly seated, ordered and out within 30 minutes. Plan to go back for a more leisurely meal.
