   Overall the restaurant was great! The food was tasty and well presented and the staff was friendly and helpful. The entire place had a sleek classy vibe. My only note is we felt some of the food had a few fussy elements (like a large portion of foam) and there could be punchier flavors in dishes like the tikka masala.

   Best restaurant in the Washington D.C. area - Consistently delicious food; always excellent service. Chef Chemal is very creative and never satisfied with status quo. His duck a l'orange on the spring tasting was second to none!

   Everything was great -- the ambience and beautiful setting, the service, and value. The food was also very good. My only suggestion is that there should be a little more choice on the menu -- especially for pescatarians (the only fish dish on the main menu was salmon).

   Prior to our dinner, the staff was very helpful. Our reservation changed dates back and forth and doubled in size, and they accommodated us without any issue at all. The food was excellent, and they even did a special surprise for my wife, who's birthday we were celebrating. The sommelier was very helpful. When I mentioned a particular wine that I'd had before, even though they no longer carried it, he went and found 2x bottles for us. The 2941 made certain that we had a very special night to celebrate an important occasion.

   Great dinner quality food and dishes with excellent service. The profiterole was not at par to such a great dinner, it was a "doughnutrole"... hope to have next time a real simple french profiterole, otherwise change it's name...

    We had the tasting menu and the accompanying wine pairing. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing and the waiter was very informative about each dish as well as the sommelier. We will definitely come back again.

    The food was excellent and the service was fantastic one of my favorite restaurants in northern Virginia. The duck is one of the best I’ve had in the continental United States.

    This is a family favorite. We did the chef's tasting with wine pairing. All courses, except dessert, were outstanding. Regrettably, the desserts were more clever than good. Most wines were excellent. One of the wine pairings was off, so they kindly gave us a different wine. The service was not quite up to standard. Waiter and Sommelier were nice but not attentive. There were 3 in our party, and for all 5 courses they brought the food to the wrong party. Something was amiss. Not a big deal except when compared to past experiences (and the price we paid and tipped). Overall, still one of the best in northern Virginia.

    Did not expect it to be in an office building. We entered through the garage and it did not set the tone very well because we had to walk through a series of unappealing stairs and hallways and then all the way to the back of the restaurant to the host desk. Ambience was not what I expected but the food made up for it. The 5 course tasting menu and the wine was to die for!

    Once again, excellent dish conception and preparation. Julio's service was flawless. The high ceiling and open, airy feel enhances the fine dining experience. We went with a first-time couple and they loved it!

    We were looking for a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a friend recommended 2941. It didn’t disappoint. Every bite was memorable and the service was the perfect balance between attentive without being intrusive. We especially liked the selection of cheese and the variety of entrees. It was also nice not feeling like you were eating with stranger since the tables were a nice distance from each other.

    Prix-fixe menu was notable. The Veloute was outstanding, as was the wife's pasta appetizer -- that had changed in the twelve hours before we had her early Birthday Dinner...The risotto matched anything we've had in Europe (or Asia). Best meal for value across the board. Oh, and if you do go, ask for Julio -- a classic "server".

    The setting is spectacular. The tuna tartar app is divine. Our server was splendid. One annoying thing - as we were paying and when everyone's water was 80% full, a server opened one more bottle of water and poured a tiny amount in my glass. Not good form.

    We booked the tasting menu experience through open table. Only bar seating was available. The restaurant was busy (Saturday night) and although we ordered it, and they accommodated the tasting menu at the bar, this was a mistake. We were looking for the experience - the descriptions of the wine were excellent but half of the time (3/5 courses) we had finished half our course before the wine was poured. Even worse was that for two courses we didn’t have even have silverware to eat our food and had to wait so long that it cooled off significantly. The food was delicious but was delivered 3/5 times with no description of what we were eating- we had to open the menu to read about it. Do not book the tasting menu at the bar. They should not allow this as they can’t accommodate and it is not worth the high price for a very subpar experience.

    Overall outstanding. Food was excellent. Servers were prompt, courteous, and very helpful in describing the menu options. Ambiance was amazing. An area of improvement is that the initial hostesses/greeters could certainly have a more welcoming attitude/posture than the "what do you want" vibe I felt as I first entered the restaurant. There was no "good evening" "welcome" "do you have a reservation" or anything like that.

    Food and service were exceptional, and commensurate with the cost. Recommended pairings for each course were very helpful. Servings were bountiful. Some may perhaps feel the cost high, but we felt that the quality of the food and presentation, coupled with the attentiveness of the servers fell well within their competitive price range.

    My friend and I came for the Valentine’s fixed menu and we were not disappointed! It was amazing - the ambiance, the service, the drinks and the food were wonderful. The kampachi crudo was fresh and light. My friend started with the lobster fettuccine and she loved it. We both got the Chilean sea bass and it was one of the most perfectly prepared meals I’ve had in a long time! Perfection! The raspberry religieuse was light and flavorful, my friend enjoyed her chocolate heart. Our drinks were great as well - the Empressing was yummy! Everything from arrival to when we left was impressive! Will definitely return!

    The menu for Valentine's week was amazing! They had such a great selection of dishes and all of the choices went together so well. The food was prepared exquisitely and the service was amazing as always. We requested our favorite, the best server, Jean-Marc and he always delivers an exceptional experience! He is very well versed in all the dishes and takes special time and care into providing the best experience for all of his guests. We were celebrating a birthday and Jean-Marc and Nick went above and beyond to deliver 5 star service and made the night one to remember. The food was spectacular. The service was extraordinary. The ambience was wonderful. We even ordered drinks at the bar and the bar staff really did a wonderful job with the drinks. Special shout out to Jackie for always being the friendliest face to greet us as we walk in every time! Highly recommend for a great experience!

    The food was absolutely fantastic. My significant other and I had the valentines 3-course meal. It was worth the price for the food and experience. The server was an absolute pleasure, as soon as the food landed on the table regardless of whether he set it on their or not, he would explain the dishes, which we appreciated. Would definitely come back!
