   I had the privilege of experiencing the Chefs Tasting at 2941 Restaurant last night. The five-course tasting journey, paired with exquisite food and wine, along with beautiful surroundings and a vibrant atmosphere, turned the evening into a memorable adventure and culinary delight.    Outstanding as always. Tuna tartare with alternating dollops of avocado purée and jalapeño sliver versus grand marnier aioli, topped with thin fried shallots. Chilean sea bass with fennel and capers in a light tomato sauce. Perfectly cooked medium rare lamb loin on a bed of basil infused potato purée. 2015 Philliponat blanc de noir champagne. Just a fantastic meal.

   Alice was our server and she was amazing! We celebrated our 22nd anniversary and the restaurant made us feel special. Our menu even said “Happy 22nd Anniversary”. Such a nice touch. I started with the Tsar Martini and was not disappointed. The lobster and halibut were delicious. We also got a dessert and the plate had “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate. Such a wonderful experience. I will definitely be going back.

   The restaurant is set in an office building, but don't let that deter you. The setting is beautiful with trees and a lovely pond. The tall ceilings and large windows bring a feeling of being outdoors. The service was excellent. The wines by the glass were a small selection, but were both very good. My lamb and my dining partner's halibut were both flavorful and excellently prepared. Come hungry because you will want to enjoy the excellent desserts!

   It’s certainly one of the top two or three restaurants in NoVa. Superb ambiance, great service and the food is high quality and upper end. We were a little disappointed two different seafood dishes had the same heavy cream and butter sauce, but then again when have you ever had a bad cream and butter sauce?

   What a gem of a restaurant. I loved the location as it felt that you were in a secluded oasis. We decided to choose the tasting menu with the wine pairing. We weren't disappointed. Everything was fantastic from service to the food.

   We went for a special occasion and the food, service and ambiance were all exceptional. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the chef continues to adhere to the highest standards of cuisine. The calamari is simply the best we’ve tasted. And the wild halibut also ranked among the finest ever. The raviolini with goat cheese was sublime. The wines complimented everything perfectly. Service was perfect and the ambiance is among the best anywhere.

   My best friend and I recently dined at 2941. Everything was exceptional from the service (Michael, our server, was very friendly yet professional, and he described each course to us in great detail) to the food (we opted for the a la carte menu), and to the general ambience of the restaurant. It was a beautiful room with very high ceilings and quiet, and although not inexpensive, all of the food we tasted (halibut with ramps and morels, and poached lobster with tomato raviolini) was wonderful, and the East Coast oysters were incredibly fresh. In addition, the Passion-Rita mocktail I ordered since I no longer drink alcohol was delicious and tasted like real Tequila and came with a salted, spicey rim on the glass. I highly recommend dining here when you want to treat yourself to a first-class experience.

    2941 made my husband’s birthday extra special. The food & drink were outstanding, as well as the service and ambiance.
