Always a nice time at 2941. Great place for a special occasion!
Great food. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Service was subpar at the beginning, but the manager checked on us and then fixed everything and handled the situation perfectly and appropriately. So overall, a wonderful experience. We will definitely return!
Great food and beautiful ambiance
Lovely restaurant with great food and service. This time we went to one of their special Sunday dinners called a Decadence Dinner. Truffles galore. We loved it.
Really great food! They customized a menu with my friends name on it for his birthday and brought out a birthday dessert. Very great experience
Appetizers were good but white truffle risotto was over the top. $52 rib eye was poor-too thin, not much flavor and tough. Bass main was good. Apple dessert was great presentation and flavor with green translucent sheik filled with Apple and ganache.
FYI: many years ago I studied at Cordon Bleu in Paris and worked several kitchens including Taillevent.
Well done, we had a great experience
Always interesting and tasty dishes that make 2941 a unique place. Service cannot be matched. Go and enjoy!
Fall is venison for us and the venison chops were succulent, well seasoned and tender! Missed some chestnut purée. Oysters were delicious, briny and but just ordered too few of them. Chocolate soufflé was decandent with best Peruvian chocolate. Kudos to the chef!
The lobster spaghetti is wonderful.
So are the tuna cones.
The food was excellent and well presented. The service was exquisite.
The food was amazing. Every dish was perfect. Literally the best meal!
My family and I have dined here for Thanksgiving 2018 & 2019. Both years we arrived for our reservation early and checked in early, but were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. The restaurant took on more reservations than they could handle. The waitstaff was very professional and polite, but clearly swamped and things were slow. The part that really irritated us the most though, was the late seating. It’s cold in the waiting area and it became very crowded as the 8pm (our reservation was for 7:30) reservations arrived. Yes the food was delicious, but we were also paying for the service and experience.
We went for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fabulous. Two of our guests said it was the best meal they've ever had. Also, for as many people they had in the restaurant (it was completely full), the noise level was so reasonable we almost didn't notice anyone else around us. The staff was very courteous, attentive, and accommodating. I highly recommend 2941 to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.
I ordered the Earth and Ocean and the lobster was near raw. The tuna tartare was excellent. Lobster ravioli was excellent. Salmon was very good. The pecan tart was fantastic. The vegan dessert was overly tart and unpleasant.
Thanksgiving dinner at 2941 was wonderful, delicious, and the best way for two people to celebrate!
The food was very good, but that is expected I think. It was our first time at the restaurant and we frequent a lot of nice restaurants in the metro area. The entrance from the parking garage was kind of sterile, no real guidance of how to proceed until you entered the office building. The outdoor grounds were nice and well maintained, but it kept letting me know we were in a big office building. On a traditional grading scale - overall I would give it a B-.
We always choose 2941 for holiday and celebratory meals! Their new Cab Sav is devine!
Lovely Thanksgiving dinner options, dining room was very cold however. So many people were wearing their coats, that should have been a hint to the staff there was an issue with temp
Thanksgiving dinner was lovely. We go there when we want a special evening with friends.
My companion and I went for the Thanksgiving pre fixe. The appetizers and deserts were excellent. The turkey entree was fine, though nothing special. The filet mignon was ordered rare/medium rare and came medium. We returned it and the replacement arrived cut in half to ensure that it was properly cooked. Unfortunately, it was the most tasteless filet either of us has ever eaten (we're in our mid-60s). We each had two glasses of wine and they were generally acceptable. However, the waiter maneuvered my companion into buying a glass of their special ($25) red wine, which was nothing special and grossly overpriced. Overall, this was a good but not great meal at a great meal price (almost $300 for two people). The room is attractive and the view is lovely.
The food and service was excellent. I plan on going to lunch there soon.
Service and food were excellent!
2941 continues to please us. The atmosphere is serene and relaxing. The wait staff continues to provide service that should make the owner's proud. And the food! Among the best from any restaurant in the D.C. area.
Lunch at 2941 on a Wednesday afternoon was a pleasure. The service was excellent, as always. We split an order of white truffle risotto to begin. The risotto was creamy and the truffle gave it a wonderful, exotic taste. The risotto was unplanned, but we couldn't pass it up. We also had roasted tomato soup and a crab salad. The crab was pure and delicious and beautifully presented. A rich French onion soup and the Greek pita sandwich completed our lunch. 2941 has an outstanding wine cellar and we each enjoyed a favorite, mine a barolo and my husband's a chardonnay. We finished with a wonderful botrytis Sauterenes. The dining room is light and spacious and we were given all the time we needed to enjoy a first-class meal. (And they serve a great cup of coffee.)
We had our wedding reception here 6 years ago, and have come back just about every anniversary since. The menu is always compelling and often involves surprise (see the butternut squash soup, for example). I have never been disappointed here. Both the food and the presentation are excellent. The service very friendly, and the ambiance, lovely (once you make your way inside)
We have been going to this restaurant for years. Their food quality has always been great and consistent, and their price is fair. However, recently they change how they normally cook their duck dish, it's really not as good as before. I wish the chef will change it back soon! We love it there and will definitely recommend to all of our friends.
Went for husbands birthday and were on the early side of dining and sat at the bar. Great service and food!
Came here for our anniversary. The food was excellent, with our duck and venison courses cooked perfectly. Presentation, wines and desserts were very good, and the staff was generally friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that I felt some pressure purchase a probably very good - but expensive ($40) - appetizer, which I declined. Nevertheless, our overall experience was still very good, and I would recommend this restaurant to friends looking for a place to celebrate special occasions. Ultimately, this a restaurant that deserves its own real estate, rather than having to share space with an office building. Would definitely consider coming again in the future.
The fall cuisine conceptions were delectable. The mushroom soup and the crab salad were wonderful! Then the black cod and the risotto special were outstanding. Almost too rich!! Wine service provided by Keith and overall service by Julio met and even exceeded the high standards we have held up to this restaurant. Best fine dining food and service in NoVa in our opinion. And the setting is lovely. We always look forward to getting there.
Order the duck with a Blood Orange Moon cocktail. Excellent food and service.
Another exceptional dinner.
Best of the best restaurant, my husband and I really love it, and their steak is the best!
Thank you so much for helping me celebrate my 29th birthday with my friends! I had a great time. The server was on point, i love the ambience and the food is very high quality. I had a lobster spaghetti and it was nothing like what I had before. very special. Thanks everyone!
Overall, really really nice place. If you drive there in the dark, watch for the valet area with care, could be better lit. The room was lovely, the service was very good, and the food also very good. We did not love the fact that we all had to order either a la carte of prix fix, but understand the kitchen can be taxed with uneven courses. There was a slight mishap with my very delicious risotto being served below optimal temperature, and, they made up for it with a lovely gesture of a gratis baked alaska, which my friend really LOVED. Will definitely return.
Our server Lahcin, was outstanding! This was a special birthday lunch and he went over and above. Thank you Lahcin.
Very attentive service. Main courses were excellent. Desserts ok - had the cocoa pod. Good with coffee. If you are looking for a place to have a quiet business dinner, this is a great location just off the beltway.
Every course delicious, butternut squash soup, lobster pasta, scallops, tuna tartare, cod, chocolate soufflé. Our waiter helpful and charming (from Nicaragua)
The food is amazing and the service is just as good. We love this place!
I just wish the noise level was a tad lower. We had a great evening.
