I would like to compliment our server Veronique. Her service was impeccable. Her attention to detail, her knowledge of the food and wine and her timing in her service was excellent. Plus she was happy doing her job which made us happy. Veronique enhanced our enjoyment of our birthday celebration !!
Best restaurant in the Washington area
Fantastic place! Great food, excellent service, and excellent overall experience.
Way overpriced and the portion sizes are WAY too small. You know it’s bad when you spend $150 on dinner for two and both people need to go get something to eat afterwards.
Went to the bar first where the bar-tenders did an exemplary job of ignoring me. I had to ask to be served! The restaurant was just so-so. Food was mediocre. I won’t go there again.
Excellent experience and will definitely come back.
Wonderful views, great service, interesting cocktails, and an overall lovely evening.
The service is exceptional as are the food and drinks. We love this place for special occasions and as long as the tuna tartar appetizer stays on the menu, we will keep coming here! Their house old fashioned is also fantastic if you like that sort of cocktail.
The views are also very pleasant, so it's great to go when it's still light out if not for lunch.
Wonderful Father’s Day dinner. Once again, the chef and staff did not disappoint.
Beautiful atmosphere outside. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional
We went on Father's Day; the restaurant is not usually open on Sundays unless it's a holiday. They had a three-course prix fixe menu for $85.00. My wife and I both had the oysters and lobster; four of the chilled bi-valves, plus half a lobster tail. The lobster meat had been carefully removed from the shell, cut into bite-size pieces, and put back into the shell. Excellent. My daughter-in-law had the gazpacho, which looked beautiful; my son had the avocado and crab appetizer, which he thoroughly enjoyed. They also offered soft-shell crab tempura, which looked beautiful; I almost ordered it.
Wife had filet mignon and shrimp, son and I had 14 oz rib-eye steak, DIL had risotto. All great. Desserts were fantastic. The service was excellent. I was surprised that a 20% service charge had been added; it was less than I would have tipped, so I added to it.
Consistently excellent food and flawless service. Creative dishes and an impressive wine list. Our go to spot for special occasions or simply a nice night out.
The place you want to go for a special occasion. The food is superb, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff very attendant! Kudos to Sommelier Keith Bevin, who is both knowledgeable and attentive. We brought 2 bottles of our own wine (2008 Clouds Rest Pinot and 2014 Clouds Rest Sav. Blanc and Keith gave us notes on both and made the experience even more entertaining than normally. I highly recommend 2941, which is a little off the beaten path in Fairfax, but well worth the trip!!
Julio and Keith saved the evening as we were seated a half hour past our time but the manager comped our drinks and was very professional as well. Food was great, interaction with staff and all had a great time, wwe will definitely be back.
2941 never disappoints! The service is friendly, welcoming and professional, and they pay attention to details. The food is delicious, and the environment is beautiful. I recommend 2941 for a special occasion or anytime you want a nice dinner.
We went here for my husband’s birthday and had a lovely time. Our waiter Mark was very attentive and our food was delicious! Highly recommend!
Did tasting menu with wine. Excellent food and wine. Very fun to try all the different courses. Quiet and pretty environment. Great service.
Fussy, overpriced and overdone with ambience of hotel lobby. Food and wine both would have been excellent and reasonable value at half the price, but not enough here to justify the cost.
Lovely ambiance; delicious food; knowledgeable and competent staff.
Everything was great
The hostess that called to confirm my reservation said that dress was casual, but we found out the hard way that it's business casual at minimum. Very good food, service was outstanding. Be prepared to drop some $$
Beautiful place, excellent service and food. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a special event or romantic meal.
Beautiful view, yummy lunch. We both had a sandwich and salad. We celebrated a birthday and they customized the menu for us- a nice touch.
Given prevailing rating and price of meals I expected the food to be more tasty than received. I found the meals to resemble pretty the average restaurant. Service was basic and waiter too hurried for the class of restaurant. Appetizers were OK. My mixed drink was watered down.
I would says a good average restaurant but for a higher quality / pricier meals i would go elsewhere
The appetizer of asparagus veloute, the pasta and duck entrees were truly outstanding. Surprisingly, the dessert was somewhat bland. Service was very good, but not remarkable. The wine selection is excellent and the list contains some very good, well priced bottles.
The decor is "unique." The big windows are fantastic, but the chandeliers...well... they're a matter of taste.
Overall, we had a very nice time and will happily return.
This restaurant never ceases to amaze and impress us. From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated like royalty. We did the chef’s tasting menu and it was outstanding — loved the tomato tart and the sable fish especially. Two of our friends had the short ribs option...every tasting option was delicious and beautiful. We were celebrating our friends’ 15-year wedding anniversary and the servers made a fuss with a menu that had their names on it and a special dessert with a personalized anniversary wish written in chocolate on the plate. Keith the wine steward was so polite and knowledgeable about the wines and helped us select the right bottles of wine for our meal. We even ordered one bottle that none of us liked and he immediately took away the glasses and bottle and brought us another wine that he had recommended based on our tastes and what we were ordering. We were not charged for the one we didn’t like (not sure if it was bad, or if we just didn’t like it) and we were never made to feel bad about sending it back. This is a beautiful restaurant and everything is beautifully handled.
Things were good!I called and asked if I can bring my bottle of wine to my party of four for birthday.I was told the fee for corkage would be $35.00.When my bill came it was $45.00 charged!I would not mind to pay more but I hate to be surprised even though it was just $10.00 different.I still add 20% tip.Total bill was $535.00
The birthday lunch for our daughter was memorable. Our sever was most attentive as was the rest of the staff. Appetizers included a scrumptious tomato soup and asparagus soup as well as a creative “stack” of greens. The Daffy Duck burger, salmon, pasta and shrimp were all to die for. The cerise dessert as well as the exotic sorbet were perfect endings to a most enjoyable culinary experience. Merci beaucoup!
We dined at 2941 for a special celebration. Unfortunately our waitress was not very attentive as she had other large parties and seemed too busy. Also, no one mentioned ahead of time that a 15% service fee is added for large parties. Since she was not on her best game this felt a little underhanded.
The food was divine. The space is just so gorgeous. And this was the first time our service was under par, so we will be back.
My wife and I go to 2941 for special occasions- birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations and always get the tasting menu. It is fun and the courses are always unexpected which is the fun of it.
2941 changed its tasting menu from a set menu to having you choose how many items you want and which ones. I thought this was horrible. I order the tasting menu with my wife so we can compare our thoughts on each course. In the past, we just wanted to be surprised at the choices- now we have to decide. It is expensive it seems this is a ploy to pluck a few more dollars from my wallet. 2941 has lost us as diners. Bad idea gone wrong.
Also for one course, the server gave our course tot he next table. We had to wait about 15 minutes between one course.
Super place. Everything was perfect for a special occasion!
Always an outstanding dinning experience for us. I highly recommend 2941 as it is an elegant setting for delicious food, attentive service, and elegance.
Found this place on another review site .. this place is a hidden gem in NoVa...great view exceptional customer service and the food is outstanding .. A lil Pricey but you get what you pay for most of the time
The food was FANTASTIC, our entire party could not have been happier with the selection. The sommelier recommended a great wine that paired nicely with our food. Great dinning experience.
The food was ok. The service was too slow.
Between appetizers and main course it took us more than one hour.
The best restaurant in the area. Marc and Julio are outstanding waiters who enrich the experience. We are so pleased to get to know them and become friends
awesome food, wine, service, atmosphere! would highly recommend this place for a special event or date night out!
Chef Chemel continually offers exquisite menu selections and we are consistently more than happy with the quality ingredients, excellent flavors and presentations. My husband and I are quite fortunate to also live in Falls Church and have easy access to 2941 Restaurant. We have been happy customers since 2941 first opened and continue to enjoy the fine dining experience. We celebrated my husband's birthday last night with the beautifully and uniquely presented Harvest Leaves; Crescent Duck Breast, and Steamed Rockfish in Tomato Provençal Jus. For dessert we celebrated with the "Cocoa Puff" decadent chocolate and the Flaming Baked Alaska which we devoured, smiling with each bite!! The staff are of the utmost high quality and professionalism. Thank You 2941 for spoiling us!!
Food quality, plating, originality and delivery were OUTSTANDING. Staff, friendly. Bathrooms, clean. Complimentary valet parking. Great setting.
2941 never disappoints. Their food is delicious, service is impeccable, and the restaurant it stunning. We did the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was worth every dollar. Each dish, and accompanying beverage, was explained to you providing not only a small, educational lesson but gave you a deeper appreciation for dish. Highly recommend.
