Very nice meal for a birthday celebration for my wife. The food was very good and our order was perfect. Service was also very good and staff went out of their way to honor our birthday guest and also created personalized menus which she was able to keep. Our waiter was great and he arranged for a special chocolate birthday dessert which was better than all the other desserts in the menu. 2941 should consider making this part of the regular menu. The mango coconut chocolate dessert we ordered was just meh. I asked for a nice table when the reservation was made. Table was nice but right next to food service/bathroom hall entrance which was not great in my opinion but the rest of my party didn’t seem to mind. We’ve dined at 2941 many times since it first opened. In the beginning, it was outstanding. Over the past several years it felt like there were some transitions that took a bit of the shine off of the dining experience. Our visit last night was much better than our past several visits, so it feels like the team is making a real effort to improve the dining experience back to what it once was. 2841 should consider bringing back the valet parking.

As always, 2941 lives up to expectations. Wonderful service, great food, elegant atmosphere. We had a great and fun time at the restaurant.

Mostly, 2941 was great, as it has been for us many times in the past. However, tonight we got the 5 course tasting menu. It was good until we got to the "Earth and Ocean" course - veal loin & lobster served together. The veal was fatty and stringy, not pleasant to eat at all. The lobster had a very strong basil flavor that did NOT work with the sauce, it overpowered the whole plate. The combination of the veal and the lobster did not work well together with the sauce, and the final nail in the coffin for this course was the black barley. It was too chewy, which contrasted poorly with both the veal and the lobster, and the nutty flavor didn't combine well with the sauce or the two meats. The previous "main" course, the braised lamb shank, was outstanding. It was only eclipsed by the slightly spicy duck egg shakshuka, which was one of the best things I've ever tasted, even at 2941. And the server was very attentive, introducing each course even though I think he had 7 tables to take care of. All in all, a great evening, but somewhat ruined by the Earth and Ocean course. It's hard to pay over $400 for dinner for two and have the highlight of the meal be so terrible.

We come here for our anniversary dinner every year. Unfortunately, this year didn’t meet our usual expectations. We had a 615 dinner reservation this past Sat. Our entrees were delayed and the peanut entremet was unavailable, despite our reservation being in the early evening. A wedding and a private party was held at the same time which may have affected dinner service, however it’s no excuse for the price of the meal. Very disappointed this time around.

2941 is amazing!!!!!! Awesome food, fantastic service, cool atmosphere! Perfect spot for a nice dinner or special event. Michael, our waiter, was phenomenal and super attentive!!!! Totally worth the experience!!!

We had a very nice evening at the 2941 restaurant. We were well taken care of. Our only disappointment was the cocktails. They were very expensive and had unusual (unique?) flavors that were not familiar. Everything else was great. It’s a good place to celebrate a special occasion.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in the Wash./Metro and VA area. The food is stellar, the service in fantastic, and the ambiance is spectacular.
