   Our server ghosted us, which is a bummer since we were celebrating a birthday and would've had so many more drinks. The food came out at different times so by the time I ate mine, it was pretty cold. Veggies on both dishes were cold. The place wasn't even half full (a Thursday night) and it felt a bit chaotic. At one point we had zero drinks... no water, no alcohol. I really want to support local businesses, but for the hefty price, the overall experience isn't worth it. The food was good, but bc of temp and timing issues... meh.

   The food was great and the customer service was top notch! The staff was very friendly and the chef even comes out to greet you! I had the braised ribs with grits and the chicken sandwich and everything was excellent.

   From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. It was clear that the staff wanted this to be a personal experience, and it was. The food was fantastic, the service too-notch and the ambience has a low-key energetic vibe. Can’t wait to go back!

   We enjoyed everything about 29 Markle Court. Our group shared a number of small plates to start: Ceasar salad, braised short ribs & polenta, fish tacos, and scallops. All the dishes were outstanding. For our main, we enjoyed the chow time cheeseburger, smoked KFC sandwich, salmon fillet and shrimp & grits and the gnocchi cacio e pepe.. Again, everything was delicious and well executed. You can't go wrong with any of them, although the gnocchi was the favorite. I have to mention the cocktails also. The smoked new fashion is creative and delicious. Sangria29 is one of the best Sangrias I've ever had. And the Paper Plane was delicious. What a fabulous restaurant...we'll be back

   The food is always excellent, fresh and flavorful. The staff is courteous and respectful while still making you feel like family. The aesthetic is upscale and the music was loud enough to hear but low enough to have a conversation without yelling across the table. I also love that the head chef comes out to introduce himself and checks to see if the guests are satisfied.

   Great looking spot, unfortunately the food was not worth it, paid $27 for a half of chicken and 4 paper thin potato slices. My wife also had the shrimp and grits and they weren’t good.

    On rare occasions, one dines at a restaurant and has such a totally satisfying experience that one leaves with the feeling that nothing could be improved upon. Such was the case with our recent dinner at 29 Markle Court. Finding ourselves in Bridgeport last weekend, we decided to have dinner there on a quiet Sunday evening. We had read the very positive press and had been wanting to try it for ourselves. The restaurant lived up to its reputation in every way. From the friendly service, to the carefully crafted menu, to the absolutely exceptional food, to the warm personal reception we received from both the chef and the owner, our meal was everything one hopes for when dining out. Our four-course dinner consisted of the roasted glazed carrots and charred broccolini as appetizers, followed by sharing the gnocchi cacio e pepe, then salmon and halibut filets as our main courses, and vanilla gelato with poached asian pear (redolent with ginger) and a devil’s food chocolate cake for dessert. Every single bite of each dish was, in a word, perfect. Even the bread, which our server happily brought out when we asked to have something to mop up the amazing sauce on the gnocchi, was perfectly toasted and truly delicious. The restaurant has a comfortable neighborhood vibe, with simple decor and a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. Prices are perhaps a tad higher than one might expect for Bridgeport, but entirely merited by the quality of the food. We look forward to returning and trying new dishes there. If you live in the area, this is a must try. And if you don't, this restaurant is definitely worth a trip.

    Creative and delicious! The halibut was amazing. Top notch salads. Fried chicken sandwich so good Yummy crab cakes. Dramatic presentation of the cocktails. Love the champagne cocktail glasses. Super charming staff!

    The food at 29 Markle is delicious, we love the eclectic menu. The service last night was definitely lacking, we waited over 30 minutes to get a drink. Our appetizer came out before my husband’s cocktail. We were told at the end of dinner that they were short a bartender. Things happen and everyone understands. It would have been a better experience if we had been told this much earlier on in the evening.

The ambience is comfortable and stylish, the staff extraordinarily friendly and knowledgeable and the cooking consistently delicious.     Loved the vibe, the food , the art , the staff and the energy. A great first time experience and we're sure to be back with friends. Only drawback was the noise level - this could be addressed with modest changes to walls and/ or ceiling.     The menu was varied with small plates sandwiches and entrees. We tried a lot of dishes and all were delicious. The wait staff was great and we particularly liked that the Chef came out to talk with us. Highly recommend and will definitely return
