Online reservations at 29 Fair can only be made directly on their website.
Open Table had confirmed my reservation but when I arrived in Nantucket I learned that the restaurant had gone out of business!
It was the Christmas Stroll weekend and all the better restaurants were booked solid but my wife was able to convince one of them to accommodate us. Unfortunately we had order from an overly expensive fixed price menu ($150 pp).
It is mind boggling to think that, after dropping the ball, Open Table has now requested feedback on how our evening turned out!
Can’t rate it! It was closed when we went and WE NEVER GOT A CANCELLATION NOTE. On the contrary, we received two reminders the day before and the restaurant was closed. Awful!
Don't know how to write this review since I made a reservation on Open Table and when we got to the restaurant it was closed and boarded up for the season -- someone at either Open Table or the restaurant made a very big mistake!!!
Why is this restaurant still listed on Open Table when it is closed for the season??

I made the reservation on Open table. Two days before, I received a text from 29 Fair asking me to confirm. I confirmed and received a reply that my reservation was confirmed. We arrived at 29 Fair only to find that it was dark. I called the number and got an answering machine stating that they had closed. This was Stroll weekend so there was no chance of getting in anywhere else. They ruined our night.
Took and confirmed reservation through open table and they were closed for the season. Frustrating
Got to the restaurant at to reserved time and it is closed for the winter. Open Table better get their act together, making reservations for closed restaurants indeed!
Horrible experience! We booked a week ago, got confirmation the day before, got to the restaurant and it was closed for the season! How could a restaurant be so rude to allow reservations to be made and then not notify guests?! And then we had a tough time finding availability at another restaurant at the last minute! We won't be recommending this place for sure!
It was closed - thankfully I had concierge check because Opentable gave me a reservation
