SO GOOD. The pierogis are an absolute must try, as is the cheese boat.
Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned, flavored, cooked. Great find
Delicious, authentic food and helpful, pleasant service. Will definitely be returning!
Excellent meal. Central and Eastern European dishes that were flavorful and well priced. Service was good. Waitress was helpful in selecting items and how to get the most of each dish. Excellent Beer selection!
Delicious and very friendly service . Great for brunch too!
From start to finish, such a good experience. They have a great outdoor dining situation, which made sitting outside in 38 degree weather not a problem. Everything from the service, to the wine, to our entrees was phenomenal. Will definitely add this restaurant to the list of favorite “date night” spots!!
I brought my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday. He's Hungarian and this was the only restaurant with authentic cuisine. He was so pleased with this little piece of home in New York, and I can't wait to go back with the rest of his friends and family!
Some wonderful dishes not found elsewhere. Georgian dishes were the best
Simple menu but food was outstanding. Great location in West Village.
Awesome staff, incredible food, impeccable vibes. can't wait to go back!!!
Loved the food, service and outdoor seating. Can't wait to return.
I love this place! Went for brunch and really enjoyed the unique mix of choices from different central and eastern european countries. The salmon in the cured salmon blintz appetizer was super high quality. This place has everything I want in a brunch. I'll be back soon.
This was our first time. Sat in the shade at a nice table. Tried a variety of dishes (we were 4) and every one was excellent. The waitress could not have been nicer or more obliging. We will definitely come back.
Been coming here for years. Best Eastern European food in NYC as the goulash, the deserts.
Excellent food - just anticipate a slower kitchen.
We have been there 3 times for Brunch. Each time was very enjoyable. We would highly recommend.
We had a delightful time. The food is absolutely delicious and we were so happy to have leftovers so we could experience it again the next day at home!
Can't wait to go back and try more.
The perogies and sausage sausages are delicious!!
NYC does not have a lot of German, Eastern European restaurants and wow was I blown away with 27 Morton. Exactly real New York. The Veal was exactly how Mom used to make. Great beer, cozy atmosphere, perfect location...worth the journey ;)
The portions are VERY large for NYC standards. An appetizer, two entrees, and a side were way too much food for my wife and me. That said, everything was really delicious.
I'm a first generation American with Eastern European parents who grew up eating the food they serve here. I have to say, it was excellent. The Pierogis while not quite authentic, were very tasty and the goulash was just like Mom used to make. Service was great too and the portion sizes were just right. Didn't break the bank either.
Will definitely come again.
I had excellent experience at 27 Morton! Very good service and delicious food!! Amazing selection of European cuisine and absolutely beautiful environment.
I would highly suggest this place and will be back soon!
A menu that ranges across Central and Eastern Europe, all the way to the Caucasus (Georgia). The weiner schnitzel was just right, crispy and non greasy, and the Adjaruli (not cheese bread with egg and butter) was as good as I've had in Georgian restaurants.
Sunny, open space with a warm ambience and friendly service. The food is hearty and reasonably priced which is rare for the west village.
There was a piece of hair in my food - I didn't bother sending it back to the kitchen because my friends said to let it be. But I couldn't keep eating my food.
We went for the adjaruly (which did not disappoint) and had the best time at this little gem. Relaxed ambiance, great service and delicious food. I will definitely be going back here
Goulash and cheesy spaetzel rich and seasoned nicely. Generous serving very filing. Bratwurst may be the best we ever had. Delicious sauerkraut. Skip the borscht. Attentive staff. Cozy room. Good low volume music playing.
A wonderful lunch/brunch experience during the week. Bright and sunny interior. Service was excellent and a very diverse food and beer menu. The pierogies are not to be missed.
Really good German food, and they have orange wine!
I highly recommend the pork knuckle. You have to wait a little longer for it to be prepared, but it is well worth the wait! The cheese boat is also excellent. The appetizers, well, let's just say that you could make a meal out of the appetizers too! Absolutely delicious, homemade, food ...
Lovely meal early in the New Year. Excellent Central European food, lovely service and they took my son's celiac disease very seriously. So overall, I recommend 27 Morton and would dine there again.
Third time we have been there in under a month. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is great. The ambiance is perfect for a get together because it’s not too loud. It’s a very comfortable place! It is cozy. And, the beer is great!
Excellent food, service and value!! The pig knuckle was amazing, if you’re a big eater def reco getting it for 2 and downing that crunchy porky slice of heaven by yourself!! Great for lunch, brunch dinner!!
A little crowded and noisy when we arrived, due to some groups. The charming waitress moved us to a better table when one opened up. Food is hearty, not fussy or trendy, tasty and well-prepared. Try the fried pierogi appetizer—a meal in itself, or a tasty share, with a side of thick sour cream. Wine and beer only, well chosen list, with a spacious bar area. Soups are substantial and tasty. Customers of various ages, nationalities.
Ordered lots for brunch. Overall Very good with few exceptions nice change from standard brunch on Sunday
A delightful experience all around. Warm, cozy atmosphere. Wonderful and authentic food from the perogies to the spaetzle. Attentive service. A real treat not to be missed!
Still a great place, even with change of ownership and name! The menu is a melange of Eastern European dishes, with something for everyone, vegetarians and carnivores alike! All made with love. And it never gets noisy - which is increasingly rare in restaurants in Manhattan these days!!!!! Highly recommend.
I've eaten here many times, and have always enjoyed the food, but this was my first time for brunch. I ordered sirniki (Russian cheese-filled pancakes). I couldn't believe how delicious they were! The plump little pancakes are filled with farmer cheese. They're served with a sweet, cooked, whole walnut that you won't believe. I had to ask what it was; I could eat a whole bowl of them. Others at my table really enjoyed their dishes as well, including the croissant sandwich with Black Forest ham and pierogies. There are several new things on the menu that are not on the online menu yet.
Loved our meal and service was impeccable! Highly recommend for anyone in the neighborhood.
Great atmosphere. Food is good and service excellent. West Village has a new restaurant on the list with a very interesting menu. You have the most typical Eastern Europe dish ( Goulash) and the most American dish (Cheeseburger- so everyone can find its happiness. Recommend the pierogis and Assorted Mkhali for the appetizers. So good!
I’m shocked this place isn’t more popular. The food is good and the staff are lovely. It’s such a cute spot too, love the decor.
