About 25 Lusk
25 Lusk is a sophisticated, approachable fine dining restaurant specializing in seasonal contemporary American cuisine. All of the original exposed brick and massive timbers are still in place, creating a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining the building's classic, industrial aesthetic.
The 9,800-square-foot space includes 120 seats in the main dining area, a spacious lower bar and lounge level, 30-35 seats in the private dining area, semi private dining for parties up to 14 people and a community dining table.
Perhaps the most unique element of the 25 Lusk transformations is the open space which allows soaring steel fire orb flues to pass from the main dining level to the lounge below. This design unifies the two-level space while still allowing each level to exist as a distinct venue. 25 Lusk's one-of-a-kind basement level bar and lounge offers a stylish and contemporary setting with an expansive selection of classic and modern cocktails.

25 Lusk Ratings and Reviews
Picked 25 Lusk for a special anniversary. We were seated right away. Restaurant is upstairs with a spacious lounge and bar downstairs. The menu is well thought out, fish, beef, pork- all special. I had the flat iron steak, my wife had the pork chop. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. There was a small delay in the kitchen, so the chef sent out a small sample of soup, as well as the waiter refilled the wine glasses for no charge; a very nice touch. The staff checked on us often, were discreet, and very friendly. With dessert the chef presented us with a "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate across our plates. Touch of class.
What a gem! The menu is eclectic and compelling, I wanted to order almost everything they had. I had the avocado hummus (delish) and the octopus. We ordered the bacon cornbread for the table and could have had another serving! The atmosphere was wonderful but there is also a downstairs with lots of cozy nooks and crannies and we hung out a bit. I would recommend this to anyone!
Went there with coworkers one evening for the first time. Nice meal & full of surprises:) Parking can be valet in front of the restaurant with $20 or paid street parking anywhere around 10:00PM. Overall, good experience there that night. Looking forward to go again;)
The space is just wonderful, and I enjoyed the experience very much! However, I thought the price for admission was a bit high. Everything that we had was creative and good. We started with Caviar and Blinis which i thought were just OK. for salad we split the house greens had very nice vinaigrette, my wife chose the Short Ribs and I the Swordfish. We both enjoyed each of the dishes! The RIbs were were excellently prepared and were some of the best I have had in awhile (even though it was my wife dish). The Swordfish was also very welcome and was prepared, plated and tasted very good! The wines were marginal. The Turley Old Vine Zin did not quite make the grade and I switched up on the second for the Corvina Cab which was very good and priced reasonably.
We were on the waitlist for Manressa but did not secure a table. We scoured around San Francisco to see what would be a great local spot instead. Boy were we surprised! What an incredible gem! They took extremely good care of us, the cocktails were done to perfection, the food delighted with every bite, and (relative to so many other San Francisco options) I thought surely reasonable in price for what we got. I highly recommend it.
All of the appetizers we ordered were great. Very flavorful! The pork chop was good, but not the best I've tasted. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were great. Music downstairs was good too. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to other people.
Everything was amazing. The one thing I would change would be the music choice- it was too hyped up and didn’t pair well with the ambiance and the food. Maybe it works for the bar downstairs but the restaurant would benefit from something classier and relaxing- quiet jazz, Brazilian jazz (Carlos Jobim?) or something along those lines!
Everything else??? Superb!
Anniversary dinner. They were very accomodating finding us a table with more light as it is a dark restaurant. We ordered ahi tuna and grilled octopus appetizers. The ahi was perfect with a large crisp to scoop the ahi. The octopus not so much, as they overwhelmed the delicate taste of the octopus with chorizo, which was heavy and frankly ruined my tastebuds for the main course. My husband ordered the flat iron steak which was medium rare with a delicious potato cake. I ordered the recommended pork chop. I found it too smokey for my taste, as I have an aversion to anything smoked. The waiter was very gracious and took it back. I ordered the prawn with parmesan grits, which was fine, but by this time I was still chorizoed out so took the rest home. My husband ordered the small assortment of desserts, which were ok, but my dish was stellar--the stone fruit pavlova with cocoa meringue--outstanding. Another special dish-a must order is the cauliflower brûlée, which is spectacular. We saw the whole fish for two pass by us and it looked like a great choice.
We had the fish prepared for the table and the steak prepared for the table, and both were quite good -- they were able to filet the fish for us in the kitchen, but there were still a few bones, so be careful if you order this dish! The service was great and we enjoyed the wine as well!
We had an excellent meal and very good service. Our server was very attentive and really knew the menu. We also had the pleasant surprise of having the Chef stop by our table to recommend a fish and tall us a little more about the menu. Overall I would highly recommend 25 Lusk.
Lovely place with very creative cuisine. Delicious Filet Mignon, grilled octopus, heirloom beet salad and char fish entree.
Waiter missed one dish we ordered...and then came with the wrong one. He did not charge us for that dish.
He could have been trained better.
We go to restaurants we like until they disappoint us; I've dined at 25 Lusk at least a dozen times and am always impressed. Whether it'sa special occasion, a business meal, a quick bite before a ball game, happy hour with co-workers or late night cocktails, the staff is always accommodating, never pretentious and super knowledgeable. That's true for new employees as well as the staff we recognize. This let's you know the place is well managed.
But we go back because the food is imaginative, ample and delicious. They know how to select ingredients, how to treat and how to present them.
Last night was awesome short ribs and crazy wonderful, huge, tender (guilt free) scallops.
We also shared an octopus and chorizo appetizer, more evidence of the kitchen's formidible skills. The octopus was perfectly cooked with a lovely char, not at all chewy and deliciously garnished. Everything we ordered came in generous portions.
Nice, professional people and great food.
Had a great experience. The waitress was very entertaining and walked us through the menu and prep. We got great insight into the food and style. The food was delicious. There was a party going on down stairs with speakers so it was a little noisy, but shouldn't be held against them as I don't think it's a regular experience.
Place was extremely noisy! Food was a mixed bag; the gulf prawns were good; also the capellini. Others in our group did not like their food. Service was quite good. The building is interesting and tucked away in a corner alleynear ATT Ballpark (dont go there on game days)
I really liked my cocktail (old fashiined rye whiskey)...big list of drinks and wins.
They have valet parking that worked well.
Met a 1st date here, and it was a great experience. The place has a super cool layout, the restaurant upstairs and a lounge downstairs. It has a warehouse/loft feel, lots of exposed beams and red brick interior walls.
Everything we ordered was excellent--i had the flat iron steak and it was delicious.
Noteworthy--the place was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, and seemed to empty out fairly early. The lounge downstairs wasn't open, which surely had an affect. My date and must have been having a good time getting to know each other, we were in a corner talking and when we finally looked around, we realized we were the only ones left in a very empty and mostly dark restaurant. Not one employee ever asked us to go or even politely notified us that they were closing! They just waited patiently for us to figure out--and I am so impressed! Very kind of them.
This is our second visit to the restaurant. Absolutely love the Octopus appetizer. The other items were very good. The risotto was okay. We were placed in the middle of the restaurant on a round table and struggled to hear each other while visiting. The waiter was new and not very knowledgeable. The service was fair at best. But would return in the future.
Always been a favorite as we used to live in the neighborhood. We were up visiting from LA and had to go back. We weren't disappointed! Seemed even better. Recent renovations add ambiance to the bar downstairs. Not difficult usually to get a reservation which in SF is a real plus!
It was our anniversary so we agreed to splurge. The food was excellent. The fois gras was absolutely wonderful, although it was a teeny piece for a lot of money. The other food was well seasoned and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful. In all, it was expensive, but a very pleasant experience.
Pork chip was very good, although maybe been a bit over cooked in larger sections. Price was much higher than it should've been. Tab for two, with tip, was $170 with one cocktail each, 1 app, 2 entrees, no dessert.
Cocktail lounge was nice downstairs. Cocktails were interesting, vibe was really loungy, but the whole place was quiet for a Thursday. I probably won't be back, due to the price tag and value for what I paid.
