Perhaps the most unique element of the 25 Lusk transformations is the open space from the main dining level to the lounge below. Service was not as expected compared to the last time I was here few years ago. Host was moody, our server was not friendly, didn’t even greet us, just walked over to pour us water, I had to greet him to open up conversations. The food was under seasoned, especially with their entrees. Menu has changed to very basic, nothing that stands out like their location and name.
Will not be returning.
Fabulous as usual
Beautiful decor with comfortable seating and mouth watering food. Excellent pairing suggestions. Will definitely be back to check out the roof top
Wonderful food and service. Definitely going back and recommending to family and friends.
I had a great experience yet again at 25 Lusk. I’ve come before with a big group from work and we spent a lot of money which is why I thought we had such good service, but after I went last night just my mom and I, I can tell even when it was just us two the service was excellent. My mom has to step out for a work call for about 20 minutes after the first course was served so I waited and my pasta got cold and the server asked if if he could bring me a new one once she was back. That is the type of service I think most restaurants aspire to have and that combined with his knowledge of the food we were enjoying really shaped our experience. Thank you
Great service and awesome cocktails and wine selection. We were surprised about how big the portion was (in a good way). Steak was cooked to perfection. We wished there’d be more sauce on the side for the steak though.
We tried this place for the first time during restaurant week.
We will return, soon and often. The ambiance was great and the layout very appealing. There are 3 levels; casual on the roof deck, classy lounge on the lower level and fine dining on the street level. Our service was stellar. Very close attention was paid to every detail. The wines were very good and the server was knowledgeable on the selections.
Our food was delicious and presented well. We had Artic Char and a steak. The price fixe menu is 3 course,2 savory and 1 sweet. They also offer an a la carte menu too. Easily one of our best meals in the 2 years we’ve lived in the city.

Second visit to 25 Lusk.....Quite possibly the best meal I’ve had in my life! The flavors were unbelievable. I savored every bite.
The second best meal in my life was probably my first visit to 25 Lusk. They have an excellent wine list too.
If you haven’t dined at 25 Lusk yet, you owe it to yourself to go there!!
Very enjoyable dinner for SF restaurant week.
Anniversary
We used our gift certificate from a year ago, and had a memorable meal at 25 Luka. It was quiet the day after Christmas, so we could take our time, chat with several members of their excellent staff, and enjoy a sampling of the unusual, delicious menu. All in all a great evening.
Had a wonderful time celebrating my 30th birthday with friends at this venue! The service was exceptional, the food was amazing and the trendy ambiance was extraordinary! I was very pleased that the restaurant was so accommodating of my party's needs which made the celebration even more wonderful!
Terrible service. Recommended food that had dairy, even though I explicitly mentioned at the beginning I had a dairy allergy. They forgot the tea twice, and brought my coat check items leaving an item behind.
Delicious food. Fantastic service. Second time coming here. Will be back for sure.
25 Lusk is a neighborhood gem. Food, service and ambiance combine to create an excellent experience. We have dined at 25 Lusk a dozen times, and each visit has been delightful.

I have always liked that 25 Lusk has a casual lounge for after work drinks and snacks as well as a more formal dining room. They have added a rooftop lounge which makes this space even more attractive. The menu has changed since last I went and still every bit of creative and delicious. As a native Jamaican i was excited to try the jerk chicken. Although not prepared in a traditional way this dish made my tastebuds sing. I enjoyed it so much i am stilling thinking about this dish days after.
I am also grateful that making the difficult choice of dessert is made simpler with a choice of mini dessert trios.
25 Lusk still remains 1 of my favorite places to dine.
Superb service, excellent food!! Will definitely return. Strongly recommend this place!
Loved the ambiance but didn’t absolutely love my entree. There were 5 of us and I was the only one dissatisfied with food
Server and manager went out of their way to make our evening memorable. My family had a great time. Thank you!
A great fixed price menu - the meal was fantastic..
Have been here four or five times over the past few years and the food had always been pretty good. Went back for dinner last Friday and was surprised at how empty the dinning room was. They now only serve a prix fixe menu and although there was a lot of food the taste was terrible. Every dish had an overly sour taste it was difficult to eat. The hi-light of the meal was the tater-tot, it went down hill from there. We won’t be coming back here.
Great ambience, and as always great food. I'm a quantity over quality type of person, but when you can have both, why not? 25 Lusk delivers on top notch new american styled cuisine included with some of the best sized portions I've ever come across at any fine dining restaurant I've been to. Servers were so sweet, and the bar was awesome. The modern, upbeat feel coupled with the antiquated modern decor makes this place a hot spot for all walks of life. Come here - it's worth it.
We loved the ambiance but the food was below average. Interestingly the Mac and Cheese was the best part of the meal. Steak was below average and the appetizer were ok. We mentioned our feedback to the server but he did not care much about it. The cocktails were great.
Not sure if we will ever come back or recommend it to anyone.
Best for dessert. The blondie was amazing.
The fish is the best character in the Menu. Schnitzel.
Avoid the flatbread.

Very bummed - took some friends for dinner. The manager was so kind to ask if we minded sitting in an empty dining room. (Really appreciate the consideration of that) we didn’t mind at all but prob should have known that would constitute for barely any service. The food was ok, flat bread was terrible with fruit so old/slimy it wasn’t edible. Soup sub-par. Steak good. Very sad because we heard good things about it.
The four of us liked each of the main courses and the deserts were outstanding. Especially appreciated the fact that the restaurant is quiet. Service was perfect. Ambiance is very nice.
This is a unique restaurant that offers an unusual and creative take on food. Quite enjoyable
Amazing. Full stop.
This was a really fun place to eat dinner. We had a great view of the kitchen, which always adds a special touch to any dinner. The food was excellent and the service was top notch!
This Restraunt exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable the food was unique and wonderful compliments to the chef. Not over priced fresh. The waiter explained everything to a tee and got us out in time to catch our show at the theatre. Clean and the ambiance was perfect
Service was fantastic and food was wonderful. We were a bit surprised by just having the prix fix menu being really the only option.
Excellent food, excellent service - really a special treat!
One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Food is consistently excellent, as is the service. Definitely a must-try for those that have not experienced 25 Lusk. Great quiet, romantic atmosphere upstairs, with a hopping bar area downstairs. Highly recommend.
As San Francisco native I volunteered to pick the restaurant for an evening before a concert at AT&T park. Scheduled plenty of time so the four of us could enjoy a few cocktails, eat and walk over leisurely. The restaurant has three levels and seemed to be very busy. After being seated it took 15 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders. We mentioned upfront we had a concert and she assured us we would be out on time. We waited another 20 minutes for drinks to arrive and from then on the service continued to decline. The waitress was not attentive and only checked in after being flagged down. The dinner was a pre fix meal and we were there for an hour by the time the first course arrived. 2 out of the 4 Entree’s were cold and due to the time limitations we were not able to have the last course. I thought for sure the GM or waitress would be apologetic but they didn’t care.
If you do decide to try this place out I would not pick the pre fix restaurant and head straight to the rooftop for drinks and small bites.
For me this one was “one and done”. Disappointing for a $400 tab.
The prix fixe menu was extraordinary - each dish was tasty and overall a great value!
Friend visiting from SD. Beautiful restaurant, great good. It was a little quiet but overall a great experience.
Elegant, but not overstated, modern with the rustic twist. Food was unimaginably good. I usually don't eat chicken in restaurants, but this chicken dish was the most flavorful and moist I have ever tasted, served on a bed of warm greens with Chorizo. WOW! And the mint ice cream...yeah, delish, so fresh and clean and not overly sweet. Oh, and don't forget about the raspberry chocolate mousse, seriously a flavor explosion for your mouth.
Near the ballpark/SOMA. Check.it.out. Giants lost the night we were there, but the restaurant is a clear winner.
We wanted to have a casual dinner, so decided to try this place based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! Their 3-course fixed price menu @$60 was very good in terms of quality and quantity, and was good value for the money. Will be back again.
25 Lusk has gone down hill in a big way. They were sold out of three items and what we did end up ordering - the sturgeon schnitzel and the flat iron steak - was mediocre at best. The dessert unfortunately did not redeem the deficiencies of the meal. The ginger panna cotta was hard and excessively sweet, the ice cream was partially melted the chocolate raspberry cake was passable. A must avoid.
Perfect. Absolutely divine food and service. Thank you thank you thank you for a perfect evening
