Love having brunch here. Best waffles in the city hands down and just a great place to go. I am so so sad to see it go!
We were visiting from out of town. 24 is clearly a local favorite. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist and we elected to eat at the bar. Bartenders were attentive and professional. The cocktail special was crisp and refreshing. Pizza and salad were great. Nice wines by the glass and happy hour wines. If this were our neighborhood, we would be regulars!
Sorry this place is closing wonderful atmosphere and good food
The food was fine, but I refused to accept my main dish when it arrived long after everyone else had finished theirs. There is no excuse for this!!!! Whoever was in charge of the kitchen should be fired!!!
The food choices keep betting better. We sat outside until it got too hot. I love his place.
Second time here. Really great wood fired pizza and appetizers. Highly recommended.
The food was very good, the people were very nice, and the place was very clean and well kept. Very cool on a hot day.
Food fail. Flavorless and uninspired
Cute, casual Italian restaurant with delicious pizzas and pastas. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend the margherita pizza, gnudi alla sorrentina and the verde salad. Definitely a great spot for a date night spot!
Seems like all the Servers are brand new, every night? A lot of small mistakes and the place wasn’t that busy. Also, that night they were out of CO2
We were on our way to the theater, & waiter was prompt with courses, but we were not rushed. Pasta was delicious, but somewhat small for an entree. It's unfortunate that small side salads are not available. Also, bread was not served, but we were given a baked cheese substitute when we asked for bread. That & the small artichoke side supplemented the pasta. Since we were having an early dinner, it was very quiet.
Despite its nice decor, the restaurant is lacking on other fronts. Service was unattentive despite it not being crowded. Very friendly but not well trained. The food was hit or miss. E.g. Cacio e Pepe was basically just buttered pasta without any cheese.
I always enjoy the food at 24. The wait staff is friendly. The food arrived promptly. My biggest complaint is the loud music. Every time I have gone to 24 during the daytime, the music is so loud. On two occasions I have asked them to turn it down. It might be a suitable level in the evening when the restaurant is packed but it makes for a not so enjoyable visit during brunch.
While I love the food, I was disappointed with the limited brunch menu. It was geared more towards breakfast than lunch. Would like to see more lunch options on the brunch menu. Also, I am sad that buffalo mozzarella replaced burrata.
Overall a good experience.
The food was amazing. Roasted peppers and bread, Pizza, Branzino, meatballs. Fabulous! Service by Caitlin was perfect!
We sat on patio overlooking the Schuykill. It was a pleasant way to dine al fresco on a summer evening. Our waiter helped us select a red wine that we all enjoyed. The roasted cauliflower is an excellent appetizer for four people.
We planned to share a pizza and each have a salad-but the salads were large and delicious, the added chicken was freshly grilled to perfection and juicy. We didn’t need the pizza, though is was good with a nice thin crust. I would recommend, and would go again!
Delicious food. Pizza was done well with unique and flavorful toppings. The pasta was fresh and hand made. The specialty cocktails were contemporary and perfection. The decor was great and not overcrowded with tables. Highly enjoyed meal. Wonderful desserts to conclude dinner experience.
Though too noisy, te service was attentive, the food very good and was able to sit and talk easily through the afternoon, which was much appreciated.
Family and I went for Sunday brunch. The waffles are AMAZING! We will be back!
Service was horrendous. Food was uninspired. We waited for a long time to get water. Waitress showed up but never followed through with our requests
The restaurant is beautiful and spacious and feels nice on a weekend night out with your family. However, all of the food we ordered was covered in salt. So much salt! The Cacio e Pepe was so salty it was hard too eat. Cacio means cheese not salt. And cheese has salt in it so to add more salt seems crazy! The potato dumpling appetizer had sooooo much salt in it. Pizza great but anything else was way too salty. I think my dirty martini had less salt in it than the pasta I ordered. Tragic.
We had a very light lunch: roasted artichoke, calamari, antipasta, a great chopped salad. The portions were ample and everything was beautifully prepared. The waitress (Ashley) was friendly, on-the-spot and very accommodating. All in all, a great place for lunch.
Pizza was very soggy. Chicken Parm lacked flavor.
Good service and attention to detail. Server was very nice and accommodating!
Great service. Very good food. And we didn't have to shout to be heard!
Regarding the pizza, people who are serious about their pizza might not pay it much attention, but I had no regrets about making shared pizzas our main course.
We had a terrific dinner at 24. It was great weather, and we ate outside, which was great. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we had a wonderful server, Caitlin (the taller one). Their customer service was very good. I was prepared to take home some leftovers, but I wanted to cut a piece of my chicken to give to my friend to taste. In doing so, I dropped the whole thing on a chair. Even though what fell was only what I did not eat, the server (not the main server) and then the manager insisted on bringing me a new dish. This was very gracious of them. Can't wait to go back. The chicken parm is among the best I've ever had.
Amazing service!! Food was delicious and the staff goes above and beyond to make your dining experience great. We’re definitely coming back!
Food prep was really slow and the place was empty. No excuse for that. Potatoes with egg white omelet and several other dishes we got were bland and almost tasteless. The Brussels Sprout Caesar was bland and lacked imagination on its preparation and flavor was weak. Svc was also slow and the manager was chatting away with our server while she had our drinks. Poorly managed restaurant overall and servers are also poorly trained and not motivated. I’m a foodie...stay away
best meatballs and the waiter was so cute and pleasant and thoro
i did find some items rather pricey but good
Girls night and great time
Best meal I’ve had in a long while! Three of us shared the gnudi, branzino, and pesto pasta.
Branzino skin was perfectly crispy, and polenta and cauliflower complimented it’s light flavor and texture perfectly.
The tomato sauce with the gnudi was perfect! And the pesto pasta with pinolis was devine!
Impressed that the chicken parm was enough to feed multiple people. The whole experience; it was okay. Pretty basic, not really worth the cost. Probably won't return.
24 has one of the best brunches in town. I like it so much better than the tiny places you have to wait hours to get into. I really appreciate that I can make a reservation on OpenTable so there we don't have to wait. The food is consistently very good. Their waffles are amazing. My favorite was the berry waffle until I tried the fried chicken and waffles and now I just don't know. The waffles are just the right crispiness on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside. They are very flavorful as well and just the right portion. The omelets and eggs are also goo and the pizza is fantastic. The drinks are also very tasty and they have brunch drinks that are reasonable ($5.00 for a spicy bloody mary). There is even free parking for 90 minutes in the back off Samson and 24th. What more can you possibly want? I usually go with my husband for a cozy brunch but have also been there with a large group (12) and the service is fantastic either way.
They were super careful regarding food allergies and went out of their way to may sure they accommodated my son's tree nut allergy. The food and service were great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Delicious. The waitress was great, even with our party's many modifications, and each dish was better than the last. The steak and eggs were delicious and the smoked fish board was even better. Highly recommend.
Love everything about 24! Been there twice now and can’t wait to go back. We always sit at the bar because we know Drew will be there. If you’re looking for good service and a good drink - Drew’s the man you want to see. Makes the best cocktail, I get the flower power since you can’t get anything like it anywhere else. Not to mention his recommendations for food are always spot on. Haven’t not liked anything we’ve gotten. Eggplant pizza, meatballs, and roasted red peppers with pine nuts and goat cheese are to die for. When in the area, 24 is a must!
There are so many great Philly restaurants that I can't see returning to this one. We sat in the window overlooking sweat gym. The pizza crust was really burned....carcinogenic black. The calamari was good as was the service.
I would only recommend this restaurant if you were looking for something very close to 30th st station which was our case.
amazing!! food was delicious!
First time at this restaurant. Had a gift card. Food was very tasty. Had the meatballs for apps and the margarita pizza for dinner. Location and ambiance was perfect. We sat near the kitchen and could see it was very well run. A lot of managers calling out orders. Kudos to them.
Only negative was hostess would not put two people at the window for a 6pm reservation. She said she was holding those tables for other larger parties..which I get. But when we were finished with our dinner and leaving, those tables were never sat by the window.
