Great brunch! Had the corn beef hash which was just amazing, and tried others’ meals too and very good! Don’t have much to offer for kids sized portions but my girls split the pancakes and they were great as well. Also a good Bloody Mary, which is a definite plus!

It's a casual place. Drinks were good. The calamari appetizer was excellent. We weren't crazy about our entrées. However I think will go back, and order differently. I think that sticking with appetizers, salads, and perhaps pasta would be better than some of the main dishes. We enjoyed our dinner. Our server was most of the time pretty good. It's nearby, LGBTQ friendly, and worth a couple more tries. Maybe other people would like some of the main courses better.

We live 224 Boston Street and always have as it’s in our neighborhood. Our only disappointment was that they didn’t have any Magner’s cider and the place seemed especially noisy

Great, comfortable space and friendly accommodating service. Haven’t visited in years and was looking forward to a good meal. The atmosphere was very pleasing, but I was disappointed in the food - calamari appetizer was over-dressed with kung pao sauce, chicken Milanese was overcooked and the potatoes and vegetables accompanying the short ribs lacked flavor and texture. I saw burgers getting delivered to several tables nearby, so maybe that’s a better option. I will return and try some different items. Drinks were good!

To say that the ambiance embodies escapism is a bit of an understatement. I dined on the patio and I was sure I was as far away from Boston as humanly possible and yet, I was only a minute (sans traffic) away from Mass Ave. With the exception of an occasional horn or siren, you'd never know you were on a street if you were sitting in the garden area. The rest of the experience was to be expected, which is to say that the service is above and beyond and the cuisine is impeccable. A feast as much for the eyes as it was for my mouth. The ONLY downside to the experience was parking but, this is Boston. What are you going to do?

We were recommended to go here by the front desk clerk at Courtyard by Marriott since it was within walking distance from our hotel and the food was "excellent". We were not disappointed. We sat at a high table and enjoyed the low lighting, low noise levels, and delicious food. The waitress was attentive but not bothersome.

Food was amazing - service was great. This place was a gem. I also felt the value was 100% worth it. We had a party of 5 and with apps/drinks/dessert the bill was $220. We got two specials - the cod and salmon from the menu and the mac and cheese.

Always consistently very good food, ample portions, and excellent selection. Nice choice of seating, including high tops in bar area, finer dining in small dining room, and romantic outdoor seasonal dining. Cool vibe. Pretty easy to find on street parking. Coming from south of Boston 224 is one of our go-to nice restaurants without the hassle of going all the way into Boston. Highly recommend it.

There for 3 hours from start to finish. Way too long. Sent back 2/4 dinners. 1 came back wrong twice. Veggies were raw. Overcooked pasta was like glue. Bitter sauce. Wine & dessert never came. Manager ignored our table. Waitress cowered away. Lame excuse of being crazy busy for all the mistakes. Got there at 5:30pm- we were the second reservation of the night. Frequent diners here -wont go back for a very long time if ever. It’s a shame! They need proper staffing and an actual chef!!
