Kobe beef is a must! My husband had the Kobe Sampler and I had the 6oz Kobe Ribeye. The Ribeye is the best cut out of the 3. But they were all very delicious and cooked perfectly. The Truffle mash potatoes were a great combination with the beef. I had the Arugla Salad which was a good-sized portion. The Mediterranean Salad did not have any greens (lettuce) just tomatoes, onions and olives. For dessert, the Cheesecake was very rich/creamy and the Chocolate Souffle was a little hard on the outside. Our waitress was great! She was very attentive and offered lots of information about the different foods. Expect to pay a pretty penny but it's worth it; at least once.
One of the best steak house experience I’ve had. Our server Luciano was amazing very knowledgeable and accommodating. The grilled calamari was a hit with our table. Will surely be visiting again soon.
We drove by 212 on our way into town and thought we would try it. We do have our favorites while in Manhattan but try to mix things up. My husband had the French Onion soup and I had the pear salad. Both were wonderful. For our main course, we had the 212 Premium selection for two, sweet potato, and brussels sprouts. Everything was quite tasty, and the quality of the meet was on point. The only constructive feedback I could give would be to lighten up on the butter a bit. The meat was of such good quality that it doesn't require so much additional butter. Our waiter was wonderful, and suggested the perfect wine pairing for our meal.

Food incredibly underseasoned, underwhelming, and ill prepared. Waiter was inattentive to us although there were only 6 tables seated at the time we were there.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and service.
The service was really good, the food presentation were beautiful, and portion of food were big, but the foods were too salty that our tongues hurt. Another thing is that they have a Payment Terminal so the server was standing next to you watching you tip them. That machine had tipping option only from 18% and above, while our company policy allows tipping only up to 15%...
My 13 year old son wanted to try the real Kobe beef at the only Kobe certified restaurant on the east coast. I had the Kobe sampler while he went for the Kobe tenderloin. The beef was as good as advertised (we’ve had certified Japanese A5 wagyu previously), the presentation was excellent and the meat was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The price per oz was a great value for real Japanese Kobe. The dining room was spacious with the tables well spaced. Staff was attentive but did not rush us.
For sides we had the truffles mash potatoes and the Brussels sprouts.
If you are seeking a more authentic New York
neighborhood steakhouse experience than Del Friscos or even the touristy air of Old Homestead or Smith’s, I highly recommend 212 Steakhouse.
This restaurant is too far away from the places many visitors to NYC want to see (Broadway, Times Square, etc.) The prices on steaks were very prohibitive, unless you were on an expense account.
EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING !!!!! THE kobe steak literally melted in your mouth. It was AMAZING ! THE lamb chops melted in your mouth as well. The staff was friendly and cater to our needs. Its a must for you to visit this place at least once in your life. The ambiance was romantic and yet casual at the same time. It was weird but PERFECT weird. PLEASE GO

It is a great steakhouse. We came because of the Kobe, so we ordered the sampler and it was delicious. The truffle mashed potatoes were AMAZING!!! And the wait staff was wonderful and extremely helpful when it came to helping us with ordering. Great experience!!!
Pretty place with delicious food and outstanding service.
Waiter was friendly, patient and explained everything to us. We were interested in trying the Kobe steak, so he explained those options as well. Overall, great experience and we would go back.
The total experience was okay with good service and atmosphere. The truffle mashed potatoes and the mussels were tasteful.
The 212 premium selection for two was mediocre because of our Australian wagyu didn’t have any flavor . It seemed not a fresh beef and frankly , a bit unappetizing.
The Kobe beef was good tasting, but perhaps a bit greasy for my taste.

Our experience was awesome. We had the AUSTRALIAN WAGYU BONE-IN RIBEYE 32 OZ FOR TWO. It was SERIOUSLY delicious. Tender and Flavorful!! It's five days later, and we still talkin' bout it, and about to line up another reservation thru OPEN TABLE. The bread was phenomenal also. Ambience was real nice. We chose to sit by the window. One real nice accommodating feature was available street parking after 7pm. 212 has moved into our top 3 when in the mood for steak

Absolutely delicious, fantastic experience. My husband ate the Kobe beef and described it as mouth watering, buttery, and decadent. I had the Lobster dynamite and it was out of this world. The sirracha is not overpowering. The meat was buttery, slightly sweet, and juicy!

Awesome food and service! The bone-in ribeye was a killer and I was drooling for more, the skirt steak was over cooked and I didn’t get any steak sauce that’s why I gave it 4 stars but the ribeye was as perfect as it could be! The server was great at recommending wine and we really enjoyed the Riesling! Top of my list so far

Alexandre our server was outstanding - I would love to go back only for his excellent service. It was the first time I tried Kobe beef and he showed us the different pieces, the history of the Kobe beef and captured us completely! Love it!
This is such a cute and intimate restaurant that my husband and I chose to go to for our anniversary. The lights are dim, music is low, the other customers aren't very loud, the food was really great and the service was excellent! I absolutely loved it.
This place was great for my friends that loved steak, they’ve been wanting to try it for a long time. It was excellent, service was great. We loved everything we tried from lobster bisque, beet salad (special), lobster Mac & cheese was to die for!! And then the entrees were good. Definitely pricey but it was expected so it was no surprise and it was worth it! Our waiter Alexander was impeccable, he was very interactive and so kind, offered us complimentary drinks at the end and unfortunately I don’t drink but it was very thoughtful.
The quaint location, IPAD wine list and drink listings, pleasing interior, fantastic service and quality food all contributed to a very enjoyable experience! The only thing that would have been better is if the KOBE steak portions were a little bigger for the price, but our steaks were cooked perfectly. Kudos to our waiter who was very engaging and knowledgeable...! We will return and tell others to try this out.
