Look, we finally have a place to go for live music in these suburbs, so please don't kill the Vibe! It's obvious 210 has changed ownership in the past year and that they are trying their best to keep the place busy and book the best entertainment they can and still make a profit. And, most importantly - Keep the Customers Happy - which is the hardest part in this environment! Everybody is an expert critic! The music is great most time and so is the food. Yes they have to charge a cover charge a cover in order to make a profit. Plan ahead for a large party and please enjoy!
We went for dinner with friends and to listen to a band. The ambiance is funky and hip. The decor is mismatched, creative, tasteful and fun. The menu is rather small which was nice. The food was delish. The service, however, was very average. It took a long time to get drinks, and a few times the waiter forgot about our orders. However, I will say it was packed and very busy due to the band. The music was amazing and the people watching was entertaining.
great music for dancing and a few drinks.did not eat.will come back to dance.
I attended! My experience at 210 was not good at all. I had made reservations a couple weeks prior to the event. The week of the event I called 210 to add additional people to my table reservations. They indicated that they cancelled all reservations because it became a sold out event and that it would be a 1st come 1st serve basis for tables and seating. My party of eight wound up trying to call again the next day to see if they changed and would accept reservations. Again they said “no reservations” that mine along with everyone else’s were cancelled. 1st we wound up having to find a different restaurant for dinner and then when we arrived they said if we wanted a table we had to give the hostess $25 cash to let us sit at table for 6 people which didn’t include anything other than being able to have a table to sit at and this is after already having bought tickets to get in on EventBrite. I also received a text from 210 asking if we were still going to be coming for my reservation after they cancelled it. I received the text while we were at the table already that we had to pay $25 cash for to sit at. Extremely poor customer service.
great music fun place to meet with friends you can dance drink enjoy meeting people
Great place for dinner, drinks, and live music! Driven from Milwaukee a number of times to meet with friends here.
We met friends for appetizers, drinks and live music. Very fun place and they have ping pong in the basement.
210 changed their menu. It is too small. We sent back an entree and the food was cold. The Jambalaya was dry and you could only taste the spices. We have been to this restaurant several times and all six of us were disappointed. We even brought a couple that had never been and they will not go back. We did enjoy the band that night. If we return, we will go for drinks and music.
Food was okay- the price point is good. Ambience is awesome and loved the Jazz club feel with both high tables and lounge chairs and real candles- unique for the burbs. Great for a date. Would go back.
210 is a quirky but stylish venue with GREAT live music - from notables in jazz and eclectic genres. The food we ate was solid pub fare. The ambience was wonderful, in part because a large room is made small with dark walls and mismatched chandeliers, and dining space they can clear out for a dance floor when the occasion calls for it. The owner spoke twice during the set, welcoming everyone so genuinely. If I lived close this would become my haunt, but I will make a point to return to see this place thrive!
There was an opening act for Howard and the White Boys that night that we came to see and she had a couple gigs this weekend so I foolishly forgot make reservations for this night, even though I reminded my guests to!😂😂😂 Anyway, long story short! Everything was amazing! Including our waitress and the food and the ambiance. The only bad experience was one of the girls working the front desk who had a very demeaning way of approaching guests, especially since she did not have any interest in why we came to this venue in the first place and how many guests we brought with us to support the opening act in a town that was out of the way for most of us on a snowy night. If it weren't for our waitress, I would be in a horrible mood! Thank goodness she fixed it!😄😄😄
Excellent music venue with top notch musical acts and very good food and ambiance in a very safe and inviting area
My girlfriend was visiting from Israel and we wanted to end her stay on a good note. The evening was fantastic, music was amazing. We all loved it. thank you.
GREAT BAND, ENERGETIC. TASTY FOOD AND GREAT SERVER (EMILY). FUN FUN FUN
We nd our friends had New Year Eve dinner package in 210. It was great entertaiment, food was ok, good drinks. a little too noise. Overall everyone had good time.
Great NYE event! Good food, service and musical entertainment!!!
I need to preface this with we had a fabulous time at the New Year's Eve party. First band was great, Belly Dancer was entertaining and Suite Molly band was fantastic. Service was great for drinks, but less than perfect for our food. Soup arrived hot, and salad was fine, but our entrees were delivered luke warm at best. We had waited a while for our entrees, were quite hungry by that point, and were not going to have them returned. Flavors were good, but should have been hot. With it being NYE, in general, they seemed a little short staffed. Had attended for the first time earlier in the week to see American English band and we will definitely return for music and will probably give food another try on a non-holiday evening.
Very impressed with 210!! We came for a show, decided to have dinner before the show and had a wonderful time. Great wine list, good food, excellent server and a wonderful place to see live music!
Can’t wait to go back!
My server was name Gabby and she was really nice and patient with not only me but other people as well. I was going there to see my guy in a gig and it was really nice time.
The menu is mainly bbq. This is the second time we have been there-the musical groups they get are really top notch. The space is terrific, the tables all have candles and there are chandeliers on the ceiling. The north shore is lucky to have a musical venue like this.
A great place for live music, great food, and fancy cocktails. The fish tacos are on point and our server Gabby was friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
We went to see the Bill Porter Orchestra, and if he is there we'll be there!
(We are a group of 15-20 that have followed the Great One! for years.)
Almost no one in our group liked the food. The bean soup needs a lot more beans and a lot
less tofu. Tofu was slimy and tasteless. It should be thicker, too. I didn't like the herb either. Was it sage? This did not enhance the flavor at all, it diminished it. One at our table was angry over the Ribs, very tough and dry and nothing with it. Too expensive. He'll come again for the entertainment venue, but he said he wouldn't order any food. This is his THIRD time at @210, and obviously has given the food a good try.
Several of us like hot and spicy, but the wings were over the top. Way too hot!! But they were tender and a very generous portion. My husbands's Raw tuna was "ok". Just "ok". Even with the Wasabi it had minimal flavor. The Brisket was good and a very generous amount.
Some of the staff were a little indifferent, not especially welcoming.
Some thought the drinks were too expensive but the liked the five dollar before seven price
The room is very nice, well laid out and designed, and comfortable. Great dance floor. We were mostly older couples at a table, but we could see it was a nice place for meet and mingle, too.
The little guy at the front door parking cars is absolutely amazing: so quick, courteous and so focused. We'll be back for the entertainment for sure. But we would definitely not drive an hour or more from Chicago, Lake Shore Drive for the food. I know you're trying to be creative and environmentally conscientious, and that is a good thing. Maybe just draw back a little on the "Foody", "Creative". When people order bean soup, they want beans in the soup and not some trendy but inappropriate herb.
I think you have the opportunity and ability to be a success over the long term.
Good luck! And thanks for listening.
This place SUCKS - FOOD is terrible!
If your at least 90 years old then you might like this place.
Have been here twice. Both times had a great time dancing. Great overall vibe. Food is okay. Evening is a great bargain for a lot of fun.
I adore the music at 210. The food is not as good as it used to be and the portions keep shrinking. However, this is my favorite place to dance and hear music. Thank you to 210!!!! I guess if it wants to be known for its food it only needs to improve that.
Fun Place and good food! We always enjoy ourselves and look forward to going there
My constant review is FANTASTIC!!!! The music is always great! Great service and great dancing location.
A great place to meet friends share some great music and great food
Great place !!!! A fun night who ever is playing its a wonderful place
We received some of the worst service that we’ve ever experienced. After we ordered drinks and an appetizer (the drinks came without the appetizer) the waitress did not return until we flagged her down. She informed us that we had an old menu and that a number of items had been removed but nothing new had been added so we placed our order. After about 25 minutes one entree arrived but not the two sides that had been ordered or the other entree. Still no appetizer. When we told the server he said that all that the kitchen knew was that we had ordered one entree and nothing else. He also told us that one of the sides that we had ordered was no longer on the menu. He did go back and get the appetizer. I then went over to one of the managers who said that they were having network problems and that our order didn’t go through (although it must have gone through to some degree as we got drinks and a small amount of food) and that our food would arrive. No apology. Twenty minutes later no food had arrived so we decided to leave even though we had paid $35 a person to hear the entertainment. I told the owner what had happened and this time I was asked which waitress we had, which wasn’t the point. Still no real apology. the only thing that they got right was when I offered to pay for the wine and the little food that we received the owner said no. Definitely not a place we’re ever going back to.
Went for a Sun brunch with Gospel singers for my birthday. (our first visit to 210)
Advertisement had shown a group of women, like a choir, which is what we expected.
It turned out to be a small music group with 2 and sometimes 3 singers who were mediocre at the best.
I was very disappointed.
Always fun but they r charging too much to get in . The most should only be $10.00. We used to go all the time before they started charging and now we hardly go cause with the food and drinks it should not be so much to get in. I think many people feel that way cause our friends used to go and they have stopped because of the cost.
I adore this place. Eat, drink, and dance the night away!!!!
Great venue! Great band... meadow Ridge Ramblers!
A bit disappointed with the menu-must be new management. Serving sizes were very small. Even the Entre -which I ordered the salmon sliders, they were good, but not enough to satisfy my hunger - boyfriend ordered jambalaya, had to order the bread also as it was not enough to fill him up either. I had seen Rico in June at 210 & they played a lot of Salsa music & that is why we came again- to Salsa, but they played hardly any Salsa songs. We did enjoy the music, who doesn’t like Santana music?; but just wish they would have played more Salsa music.
Fabulous music venue!
Music was great. ...Eagles tribute band was top notch.
food was ok...we don't go for the food.
Service and management seems to need more experience. ...
The food has slipped to inedible. The room is adorable and much of the staff is great but if you can't eat the food, why go
Food service program needs to be drastically improved.
Fun atmosphere. Young crowd. Creative dishes to share.
