   We were first-time diners at 21Main, celebrating our adult daughter's birthday. We were immediately drawn in by the wonderful ambiance. The hostesses were very friendly, and we were immediately seated even though we arrived early for our reservation. Charles was our server, and he was fantastic. He was attentive and anticipated everything we might want or need. We ordered drinks (espresso martini, smoked old fashioned, and a spicy lemon drop). All of them were delicious (created by Mark behind the bar). We had warm, sourdough bread brought to the table. Also very tasty. We had appetizers (lobster ravioli, caesar salad, and sushi). They did not disappoint. We ordered sea bass and two 8ounce filet mignon. All were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Our sides for the table were mashed potatoes, mushroom risotto, and my personal favorite, mac and cheese. Finally, for dessert, we had creme brulee and ice cream served on a platter with a candle and birthday wishes for our daughter. From start to finish, the staff made us feel special and the dining experience was terrific!

   The food was good. The service was excellent, but honestly, the price was way of a price. I don’t know that I’ll come back again mainly because the price was exuberant. I’ve always said I don’t mind how much something cost as long as the food is good that much was true to a certain extent. It was just ridiculously priced $125 for two crab legs really they were good but $125 wow ridiculous.

   The best and freshest sushi on The Strand!! We started with the ceviche and added a few signature rolls that were so amazing and delicious. There is no competition and you should definitely try it. Thank you Tara for another fantastic evening.

   It was fine. Wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. The lobster mac and the bread and butter were the best thing. We didn’t do drinks or an appetizer but we did the Bezel Pinot noir. That was fine but that’s just my preference in wines. The filet was mediocre at best. I got it medium but was too medium. The medium rare was too rare. The flavor wasn’t amazing but it was good. I’ve honestly had better. The environment, as nice of a place, it was too loud and there was just a lot going on so it was hard to talk and just very distracting. The service however was amazing and everyone was just so nice. I wouldn’t go again though. Just too expensive for food I didn’t completely enjoy. I’m glad I was able to try it though.

   The service was excellent but the food was ok for the price. We had a sushi roll to start, dry aged ribeye, brussels and mushrooms for the main course. The mushrooms were very plain and the best part of the meal was the sushi roll. Would not come back for the price.

   The food was, as always, excellent. I eat here with family whenever I visit and we love it every time. But here I comment about our service in particular. We had a new server who had just graduated from his training wheels. Kudos to the staff who trained this young man. He was attentive to every detail, checked on us quietly many times, only stopping to ask questions if he could see we needed literally anything ("would you like me to pour you more wine?"). We always have good service, but it was lovely to see a brand new server be so conscientious and detail oriented.

   A perfect night out and dining experience, with all of the classics from the great varietals of red wine, wedge salad, NY strip which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by the broccolini and mushroom risotto which is new to the menu and absolutely delicious. A high five to Tara and Jill for their outstanding friendly and superb service throughout the evening. We look forward to the next visit and you should too!!
