Easy to see why 21 occupies such a unique place in the New York restaurant world. The food is competent, the service knowledgable and friendly, and the ambience is electric. This is a place which will somehow adapt to everyone's needs in an upper-end establishment - good for business, for talking, for looking, for a date, for a celebration.

Overall, a very enjoyable evening. The food was very good. Service was attentive until dessert and then the waitstaff disappeared. Had to ask for coffee and check separately.

One of the "old guard" restaurants in NYC, it's one of those restaurants and bars that I think everyone should go to at least once. The bar was very clubby and quite busy, and when we arrived for our dinner reservation, we were given the option of taking the table right way, or having a drink in the bar, which is what we opted for. The staff was extremely polite and attentive - my only complaint that turned me off upon arrival was the strong smell of Lysol at he entry and throughout the bar that really didn't dissipate the entire time we were there. But, the martini served was a very substantial pour, and the waiter continually brought out servings of bar snacks when depleted, so we quickly forgot the smell. Once at our table, the waitstaff was accomodating to our needs and the food delish - the only complaint was the wine I ordered was not the year the sommelier brought, and had I not noticed it, he would not have mentioned it. When I did, he quickly made an excuse about the bottles in stock keeping up with the printed menu, which I totally get, but I do expect to be informed when a change in vintage occurs rather than just assuming I'll accept it (perhaps because I may not be informed??) Otherwise, it was an expensive, but lovely dining experience.

This restaurant continues to go downhill. I am a patron of 30 years loyalty and I am most sadened to witness this decline. Service was the most notable failure.

21 Club is totally overpriced. The least expensive item on the menu is a $36 hamburger! We had a lovely time with friends who we hadn't seen in a long time. The ambiance is really nice. The noise level is conducive to quiet conversation. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The food was above average. But don't go to 21 unless you are prepared to spend. The bill was $300 for each couple. Definitely not worth it.

Nothing not to love at this restaurant. Old NYC. The fun toys hanging from the ceiling keep this place from being too uptight. So much history and our amazing waiter Philipp filled us in on a lot of history filled stories. The tartar was perfect along with the chocolate souffle. They sat us next to each other, which we prefer vs face to face. It was a beautiful night. More of a mature crowd, there were some families, but not any strictly young adult groups, which we were fine with, you can find that at pretty much any other location in NYC and this place is definitely more about old NYC, socially, service , quality, etc. Loved it

We were served in a timely manner and all staff were kind and courteous. The meal was delicious. We had the pre theatre pre fixe option, deviled eggs were quite good, so was the soup of the day (minestrone). The short ribs were delicious. The rice pudding was different than I'm used to but also quite nice but bigger than expected. Overall nice experience.

Loved it!!! The server was friendly and gave us some history of the place. They also sat us next to each other instead of opposite to each other. Most restaurants don't do that unless we ask them to change the seating

The food was the WORST. I'm 38 and have been coming here since I was 10 years old and I've never had such a bad meal. The asparagus were old. While Bryce has gone downhill and the only positive thing I have to say about the restaurant is the Dover sole is delicious

Fantastic with still great food and old time ambiance. The 21 burger is the best burger in the world along with fries and special kepsuch. The atmosphere had not changed and I feel like I'm in old New York. The service is beyond fabulous.

This was one of our worst dining experiences we have EVER had in NYC. The service was horrible! We never knew who our server was and finally some strange person came for our order. We asked him to please take our picture and he refused ! Could not believe this! Never, never will go back to this tourist spot. I will say when we finally got our food it was good.

We just came from a Broadway Show, Hello Dolly, and I thought the evening could not get any better. Well I was wrong, The 21 Club just never disappoints. The food is amazing, the service its among the best in the city, and they clearly make the best Martini. My wife and I have been here before and we will keep coming back. It's just a great dining experience.

This experience was Worth every penny, the food and staff were amazing . Mixed drinks were perfect. Hamburger was fantastic, the rib eye was great and the soup of the day was the best soup I have ever eaten ( lentil with pancetta). The desert was great to. The pineapple/coconut with rum raisin ice cream is a real stand out dish. The wait staff was very attentive. I cannot say enough about this eatery!

Fantastic!! From the moment you walk into the restaurant to the end of your meal, you know you are someplace special. As a child I always heard about the 21 Club and always wanted to try it. We were seeing a show in the area so I made the reservation - the food and staff at the 21 Club did not disappoint - it was worth the wait!! We ordered the price fixe dinner and the portions were large and very tasty!! The doorman, waiters and staff were all courteous and friendly!! The ceiling with all the memorabilia was an added plus!! Everyone in my party was pleased and eager to go back again!! We mentioned that we were seeing a show and our waiter made sure we were served and out the door in time to get to the show!

21 is iconic, traditional New York elegance. Upscale dining, (dress code), classic cocktails , Sinatra playing softly in the bar lounge, amazing steak tartare, great menu, suited wait staff, world/class wine list. Worth the price!
