Reserved this restaurant months in advance so that I can celebrate my mom's birthday. She was traveling to New York from Korea. What I got in return for my early planning was an abrupt email that the restaurant will be closed on the day of my reservation. No compensation for the inconvenience caused whatsoever. They should have at least provided some kind of discount for future visit, etc. I already told my mom that we will be going to this restaurant where almost all former presidents have dined and that it will be fantastic. Mom's birthday has been ruined. Very disappointing.

After 10 years, we traveled from SF to NYC for the old classic school historical experience of 21 club. Starting from the matridees, who had three different staff asking us what is our name and our reservation without communicating to each other at all, then the 6 feet white hairs likely middle eastern in charge matridee finally told us there is nothing he can do. We asked if he got any change to read our special condition in Open Table, he shuck his shoulder and said there is no opening except the bar, or upstairs. I truly want my husband have a special experience after such a long recovery, so I paid this “ white hair” 6 feet Charge matradee cash under the table, so he is willing to arrange a table against the bar for us. It is really sad how we try hard to fly cross the country to bring some of nice old memory for him and 21 club become so commercialized and unhumanized ....

Another fantastic dining experience. Service was efficient and attentive as always and food was delicious. Particularly notable dishes include tuna tartare, crab cake, chicken hash, burger and truffle Mac n cheese. Looking forward to a return soon.

We knew we were in trouble when the doorman couldn’t find the door and the waiter asked if we wanted to be seated after waiting 10 minutes. We didn’t get the specials just what do you want to drink? Bread came with something strange to put on it and it was several days old. For starters my wife had smoked salmon which was not cooked or smoked and sent it back. I had the worst escargot which wasn’t. My wife had a salad for the main course an I had the duck which was under cooked, cold and I would say not a duck or if it was it was a very big one per the large slices. Service was slow and sloppy, but we eventually got desert which was ok, hard to mess that up. Living in NYC this is the worst we have seen living on maybe their fame for making a movie there and all the junk on the ceiling. Cheers and Happy New Year 2018- never again at the 21.

Meal was disappointing. Caesar salad offered without anchovies. Realize nobody does tableside Caesar anymore but the presentation was poor. Table bread was grilled sandwich bread. Porterhouse for two should be sizzling on the platter - was just warm. Soufflé was presented but I had to explain to the adjacent table how to open the top and pour in the sauce - same issue with mine. Service was attentive without being sophisticated. Granted it was New Years Eve and I expect they were trying for three seatings in lieu of two but sadly wasn’t worth the price.

I love 21 Club. It has a feel of country club and city sophistication. Indulging wine list and can't go wrong with the menu.

It was my first time at 21 Club and I have to say it lives up to the hype. I went for the classics, a Caesar salad and their creamy chicken hash, which were both lovely and flavorful. I was too full for dessert but I do hope to come back for what looked like a mouthwatering tomahawk or some other choice beef cut to share---or maybe this burger I've heard so much about. The service was excellent and the staff attentive. I especially liked how each person I asked had something to add to the story of this historical establishment in the city.

The steak tartare is the BEST I have ever had. Great staff!!!

One the Best classic restaurants in Manhattan. The 21 club is elegant and classy all in one. The bar and food was absolutely incredible and recommend this establishment to
anyone going or visiting NYC.

This is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is delicious, but it's the service that truly cannot be beat - impeccable. Attentive, friendly and helpful without ever being pushy.

The food is just ok. The history of the building and service was great.

We were visiting NYC for our wedding anniversary, and we went to lunch here, since my bridal shower was held there, thought it would be nice to revisit. I was disappointed at the service, the waiter never came by to check on us and never even asked how things were, very disappointed.

Fishy smelling seafood tower. Waiter left us. Baked Alaska looked like manufactured by Hostess.

Dress code is enforced. Service excellent...Food terrific somewhat pricey...glass of Pinot Grigio was mediocre...waiter spent some time giving us the history of all the memorabilia and toys on the ceiling...it was fun.

Loved it. Yes it is a pricy place but compare to some other places it was definitely reasonable. Food was delicious, the service was perfect, the actual place was so interesting and unique. We had a fantastic time and will definitely come back. Oh one thing, you need a jacket! I didn't know and they gave me one, which i am not a fan of but there are rules and this is my fault for not knowing

Timeless restaurant, I had always wanted to try. I was overwhelmed by the service and the food.

We booked a table online at OpenTable, couldn't get in till 10:15pm at night. We happened to be close to the restaurant so we popped in & asked if they could get us in sooner & they did! Very accommodating! Great people watching, warm cozy feel! Great wine and after dinner drinks! It was a fun atmosphere at the bar following dinner! I would highly recommend.

The team did an excellent job making our daughters 27th birthday celebration special.

Arrived a few minutes early and took a seat at the bar. They forgot about us. After I reminded them we were waiting, they immediately put us at a table. The food was very good and the server had so much to handle, without some signal from me we never saw him. It was an experience we needed to have, and the food was excellent, but....

Such a classic. Very professional waitstaff, but not stuffy. Food is excellent, and the atmosphere is fun!

The waitstaff were consummate professionals, the food was excellent, as was the wine. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to visit again next time I come to NYC.

This place was overcroded. Your seating is like being part of a sardine can. Very loud. Too much clutter acting as decor. This place was all wrong for me.

Overpriced, overrated and unimpressed. The “famous” 21 Burger was average. The apps of Foie Gras, Octopus and Smoked Salmon were small and bland. Never again

Waiting for over 30 minutes to be seated while entertaining out of town guests is not cool. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that there would be a ten minute wait, but that morphed into better than 30 minutes with no apology. Sad, because it's a restaurant that my wife and I frequent from time to time.

As a big fan of the movie WALL STREET I finally got the chance to see 21 for myself. And it did not disappoint. Instead, having experienced its unique flair first hand makes it a sure thing that I will come back as soon as possible.

We had a lovely dinner at 21 Club in NYC. The staff and ambience make for such a warm comfortable dining experience. The wine and food are always fabulous.

This past Saturday, my girlfriend and I went to 21 Club for dinner. Although I had gone once before and really enjoyed it, this time was even better. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. The 21 Club is particularly unique in that the staff goes out of it way to make you feel comfortable. It's an experience I definitely recommend.

Good food and service although a little pricey. Excellent for people watching!

Three of us diner on Thanksgiving 2017. 7:30 reservation. Had to wait and additional 50 minutes for our table.
FAIL.
The food was a set three course menu no beverages for a very high price.
The issue was not the price but the quality of the food. Burnt stuffing and mediocre dry turkey?
FAIL.
Frankly I expect much better from this venerable establishment and have had many wonderful meals here.
I might go back but there are many, many, many other wonderful places in NYC to dine at this price point that actually seem to care what about their customers are eating and plenty that will burn stuffing and dry out a turkey for much, much less$.

21 survives long after most of its competitors at least in part because of its high standards. No element disappoints—great food—iconic decor—PT 109 is above the bar—fantastic service. Here I can eat where not only my parents one ate—but also my grandparents. And 21 is not remodeled into unrecognizability. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous time despite being tucked into the corner where we could mt people watch very much. Quite a few large tables making it loud and festive st the same time.Service was fast & the food was excellent... on the speedy side, but still great! A treat!

Excellent service, wonderful meal. We enjoyed the seafood tower and steak frittes. The bar room is well lit and dark and cozy at the same time.
