2 West at The Wagner Hotel
Delicious amazing food, kind and efficient service, spacious and quiet room with big windows and comfortable chairs. Definitely one of the best dinners I've had in NYC.
Good service, nice cocktails, and good food. I went for restaurant week, and will definitely go back.
Great Restaurant Week menu and the live music that they had the night we were there was a very nice touch. Terrific atmosphere.
No consideration for handicapped people
My friend and I visited for Restaurant Week. We were staying in the area. The food was absolutely excellent in it's presentation and mixture of flavors and textures. Service was excellent as well. Hat's off to our server Ricardo. He ensured we had a very pleasant experience. We plan to revisit to explore the menu, wines, and ambiance. Thank you for making it a great birthday.
The service was excellent, the food never disappoints and it was very good again this time. However, the coffee was horrible. My guest for breakfast and I are involved in the coffee business and neither one of us could drink it. Get a new
Supplier! So disappointing! We stuck to the
Orange juice instead!
It was New Years Eve, and we had a late seating.
The waiter rushed us to order (kitchen was closing, he said). He rushed and knocked over a glass of water on our table (ok, a mistake). But then he disappeared for long periods and the food took forever to arrive (luckily we weren't in a rush). Also luckily, the scallops were tasty.
But, its only worth going here if you're staying in the hotel...
The service was terrible. We ordered toast with our breakfast which they forgot but when they remembered they brought it after the meal was over. It took forever to get the food. The waiter seemed like he could care less. On top of it all, breakfast was over $40.00 per person. Worst food value I have ever seen.
I have been going to 2 West for well over a decade, when it was the Ritz Carlton. I have had an engagement party, two baby showers, numerous dinners, brunches and other events at 2 West. When I lived in the neighborhood, we were at 2 West several times a week. Even after we moved from neighborhood, we continue to come to 2 West for one reason - several excellent staff members to whom we have become close. We have continued to patronize 2 West after the take over by the Wagner, despite some disappointments, because of our favorite staff.
If Adriano is preparing the food and Jennifer Guerrero is serving, we are guaranteed an excellent meal and a good time. They have taken the time to note and respond to our requests and likes. They always take great care to ensure that our meal is prepared as we like it and we very much appreciate it. Jennifer is absolutely the BEST! She anticipates her customers' needs and is a great liaison with the kitchen. Her pleasant and pleasing disposition make a good meal great. I always call before going to ensure that Jennifer of one of the other reliable servers (Ricardo) is working. If not, we go elsewhere.
Great choice for a good meal in an elegant yet comfortable environment with a friendly staff.
A little hidden though in the back of the Wagner Hotel but worth finding.
The food was okay to mediocre. Food and wine quite expensive for what we got. Servers were very nice.
Only went because the Museum of Jewish Heritage is right across the street.
Excellent brunch and SO conveniently located across the street from the Folksbeine Yiddish Theatre.
We normally don’t dine in hotel restaurants and don’t have great expectations for a good meal. Our dinner at this restaurant in the Wagner Hotel however exceeded what we would expect. The 3-course Restaurant Week Menu, although limited, was carefully designed for diners. The spicy tuna tartare was not available, but the shrimp/lobster salad was a wonderful substitute. The portions of my husband’s herb roasted chicken “under a brick” and my tagliatelle pasta with wild mushrooms and duck confit were quite substantial so we had to “doggy bag” half of the plates to make room for dessert. And we were happy to enjoy the “coconut in a jar” and “NY’s greatest cheesecake”. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. It was a fine dining experience!
I love the French onion soup and scallops. However, the coconut dessert wasn't my favorite.
Excellent scallops appetizer and great lobster cavatelli entree. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.
Worth finding - it’s a bit hidden within the hotel.
Wonderful staff and solid food
Very enjoyable. We enjoyed the food, service and particularly the music!
Not ritz Carlton anymore
Dead and too many bugs flying around
Food was ok not stellar
Great food and our servers Flora and Miguel were terrific
Great food, our servers (Wendy and Flora) were terrific.
Nice (albeit expensive) breakfast. Only issue with the menu was that the yogurt/fruit/banana bread item on the menu had a overabundance of fruit and the smallest piece of banana bread we have every seen.
So far, same excellent staff in the restaurant as before the hotel converted from a Ritz Carlton to the Wagner Hotel. Tino who was our server tonight was terrific as well as Miguel who assisted him. Had a wonderful dinner including the French Onion Soup to start and excellent Steak Fries as a side dish to complement our solid entrees.
Great food - excellent scallop appetizer and cavatelli entree. Our servers Tino and Wendy were terrific.
Great food and great staff - hope they keep the restaurant the same under the new hotel.
Solid choice for a nice restaurant in the neighborhood. The team of servers (Tino, Wendy, Rocco and Mustak) are extremely friendly and helpful.
Great spot for lunch - it is usually nearly empty so you get lots (but not too much) of attention in a lovely, serene setting. Definitely sit on the lower level. Great food and service. Expensive but not outrageous.
Always pleasant, go to place. A bit on the expensive side compared to surrounding restaurants but consistently great food. Wine list small but well done.
We had a business appointment downtown and decided to try 2West because we’ve had fine meals at Ritz Carlton hotels in other cities. We were not disappointed. Our lunch was very good; the plate presentations were attractive, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. A broiled salmon was served with a really tasty beure blanc sauce, and there were other details that enhanced the lunch. One of us ordered the NYC Restaurant Week Lunch, which was a real bargain. One of the desserts was a sticky pudding served with vanilla ice cream. I’ve never before had this dessert in a restaurant outside of England. Very good.
Excellent as always
The dining room and food service was not really up to Ritz standards. The waiter was very unengaged - and the dining room was very mediocre
Great spot for an Anniversary brunch. Food was outstanding. Meal came out quickly. Immediately seated. Eddie our waiter made the experience pleasurable.
A tasty find for a good brunch mea with many good offerings, well presented and well served.
Delicious breakfast - pancakes and French toast are a must.
Quick, Friendly and polite service.
View curtailed by scaffolding but food is good.
Excellent service. Delicious meals. Crab Cakes are a must.
Excellent food with limited menu. Good service. M'aitre 'd, Milan, was very attentive and made us feel special by checking in with us several times. Enjoyed the experience.
Great neighborhood brunch place; we live next door so easy and kid friendly also!
Went there for brunch, it was very quiet and relaxing. The decor was modern but luxurious and the 3 course option was a great value. You would expect teeny portions but my friends lox and bagel app was legit an entire meal in and of itself! I had the flank steak which I partially took home and I couldn't believe it tasted even better the next day! Everyone was attentive and friendly. My only complaint was that they mixed up our orders when we asked for it to be wrapped up. We both ordered the same dish, but ate different amounts. Since we've had leftover mix ups at other places before, we knew to check after they packed the food up for us. I would for sure come back for brunch!
The service was wonderful but the food was merely average. The Mahi Mahi/grouper sandwich was dry and was more bread than fish. The breadbasket was cold. The shredded pork sliders tasted like sauce from a jar. The cheesecake with strawberries was quite nice though.
A hidden gem ! The food was fresh, delicious and perfect in every way. The ambiance was made to order. The wait service was top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
