I was disappointed to try the food after all the reviews I had read. Whole Branzino was fried and served on unseasoned rice, Mushroom & cheese flatbread that you can find at a regular bakery, only the salt & pepper shrimp was decent. The toffee cake dessert was simply awful.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and agreed it was a great place to come for cocktails, but we did not enjoy the food. Our service was not good - we had all planned to order a second cocktail but the service was so slow that by the time our waitress finally came back to check on us, we decided to get our checks instead. I would recommend this as a fun place to come for happy hour and maybe an appetizer, but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.
The bar is the centerpiece of the restaurant. A patron was at the bar watching a football game and was cheering VERY loudly!!! It disturbed the rest of the diners trying to enjoy nice dinners. Management should have stepped in to quiet the loud patron. The food was delicious. Loved the farm to table focus. Waitstaff was great!
This was my 5th visit. We sat at the bar. Chris is very attentive and happy to offer suggestions. Started with the Margherita Flat Bread. So tasty! I had the Chicken Schnitzel for my entree. There was so much Chicken you could easily split and it was delicious. This is a keeper. Finished with dessert. Every Entree I have had here is worth every bite. From the Scallops, Steak, Fettuccine or Salmon you will not be disappointed. If you are with a group my personal favorite for the starter would be the Hogs of War Flatbread. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. The location is kind of tricky. Just off Peachtree and in the back. It is worth the visit and very easy on your wallet for the entrees. This is now my favorite local restaurant as I live in the area.
1 Kept never disappoints. This was our third year dining at this restaurant for Christmas Eve and it has become a wonderful tradition. The food was amazing, as always. The hogs of war flat bread was delicious and I'm thrilled the black truffle popcorn is always on the menu. The service was perfect, as always. Our table was a small two top at the back of the restaurant, one that other diners may not have liked, but we enjoyed being tucked away. All in all it was a lovely evening and I happily recommend 1 Kept to anyone who will listen!
After an initial mistake with our reservation (that was quickly taken care of by the manager) we sat down to one of the most fun and enjoyable dinners I can remember. Our waitress was phenomenal and kept us laughing all night. She made great recommendations (the scallops are fantastic) and when the food arrived, it was timed perfectly. We ended up staying for almost two hours, but it felt like half that had gone by. We happened on this restaurant and are so happy we did - as recent transplants we don't have a few go-to spots yet, but this will definitely become one.
Absolutely delicious farm-to-table food. The warm kale salad was amazing - although, a little too heavy-handed with the butter-based dressing , the fried brussel sprouts were scrumptious, the schnitzel was fried to perfection with the spaetzel being quite tasty albeit a bit salty, and the salmon was great. The apple pie was very good and the chocolate cake was just so-so. Our Moscow Mule tasted fabulous along with a decent beer and wine selection. The waitress was so attentive but not intrusive. The entire experience was outstanding. Parking is tricky - turn in near the restaurant and stay left to go down a ramp to a lower parking lot where the restaurant is located.
Our waitress was fantastic, the host made a big thing about the hood in the kitchen needed cleaning. They kindly made the Kale salad vegan for me, it was probably the most horrible thing I have ever eaten. The Kale was burnt, not sure how they can burn a salad. I am sorry that I did not bring it up at the time, but I was tired and it was late. The waitress had tried so hard to make the evening fantastic.
Repeat diner here - great overall experience as usual. We went on a Friday evening for a family get-together. The food and service was fantastic. The only comment I'd have aside from that is it's very dark (tough for my parents to easily read the menu), but not a big knock - just something to point out.
This restaurant is a bit hidden. There is signage on the street but you have to go down this awkward driveway and loop around the back to get to it. When we arrived for our reservation, they didn’t have our table available, so we ended up sitting at the bar because it was apparent that it was going to be awhile before we would be seated. We had a few questions about the menu but the guy didn’t know anything about the food....granted we were at the bar but still, all staff should know the menu! For appetizers we got the popcorn(very salty) and a salad, which was delicious. For dinner we got the carbonara and schnitzel. The pasta was good but the schnitzel was so tuff and dry you could barely cut thru it. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere but was disappointed with the service and food.
Each of us had something different. one had chicken, one had salmon and one had beef. All done to perfection. The dishes were made to order. Food was hot when it arrived. We also had the Truffle popcorn. Terrific! The grapefruit cocktail was also yummy!
If the Chicken Schnitzel (Blanquette) is on the menu, you should try it. One of my favorite dishes. Cocktails: there's a grapefruit and edelflower cocktail usually on the menu that's very good.
Overall this place wins for several reasons: first class and friendly service, a very chic vibe, COMFORTABLE seats, clever drinks, and really great food. It's around the corner from Restaurant Eugene.
As I understand it, all of the people who work there have some stake in the business, and it shows.
The restaurant is super cute-rustic southern feel, but getting to the restaurant and finding the parking lot is kind of a pain. The food was good, but not overly great for the price. It also was not hot- just room temperature and the mussels tasted very fishy. The service was fine, but took a long time for drinks to come out and Tre restaurant was empty when we were there. This place has potential, but doubt we will return.
This place was amazing! They accommodated our group of 8 people for a bachelor party dinner in Buckhead. The reservations had to be changed 3 times due to the number increasing and they had no problem with that (although I wouldn't recommend doing it). The food was absolutely fantastic and everyone raved about the great service. The two best things we had were the Steak Frites and the Chicken Schnitzel. Although, the Schnitzel was the overall favorite.
Unfortunately, this was not a good decision on our part. First of all, as it is in the location that used to be Toulouse, it is on the back side of a building up a set of stairs, and at 6:30 on a Saturday, the parking lot was full to overflowing. I could have lived with that if the food had been good, but it was pedestrian at best. I had the fried okra, and it was so heavily breaded I couldn't eat it. To their credit, they took it off the bill without me asking. I then ordered the pimento cheese plate which was better with the bacon jam and tomato jam and pimento cheese. My wife had the mussels, and they were advertised as Prince Edward Island mussels, but they hadn't seen water in a while. Mushy, and the liquor was bland. My main course was shrimp and grits, which was ok, but there was a lot of grits and very few shrimp. There might have been half a dozen tables in use when we left, but on the plus side, the waitstaff was very good, the manager came by and talked to us a while, very nice lady, and it was certainly a better experience than we had at Kaiser and Il Giallo recently. Not up to Antica Posta though.
I chose 1kept for my birthday dinner after getting rave reviews from a friend. The service and ambiance were great. We had the Smoked Pimento Cheese Board starter, which was very nice. We both had the Chicken Schnitzel entree, which I did not enjoy. The onion cream I can definitely do without. The yummy complimentary birthday sherbert was a nice touch. I clean forgot what cocktails we had, but they were also very nice. I'd give this place a repeat visit. I'm sure I picked the wrong entree, so my food review isn't over the top. However, the starter, drinks, ambiance and service were great.
