   We visited today 19th April for a joint birthday meal. We were actually 1st in the restaurant so could choose a nice table. The young man who took our order was so lovely and the young woman who served us was helpful and pleasant. Marvellous staff, they do you credit..I just wish we had got their names. Remiss of me. As to the food, we couldn't fault it, best mushrooms I've ever had and I am very picky with them. The steak was melt in the mouth..and I don't know what dressing they put on their salad but it was beautiful. Husbands kebab according to him was gorgeous and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend....:)

   We were a table of five - four had burgers and one had a hanging kebab. All the food was great and decent value. The staff were great but service was a little slow to get going, although the food arrived quite quickly once we ordered. Will definitely go back.

   On arriving the staff were welcoming and pleasant. Out food came and it was well presented and delicious. Great value for money. Lovely vue as we had a window seat. Only little gripe is our food came but our drinks we ordered as soon as we arrived didn’t come we had to ask for them again.

   Booked online. Seated quickly. Attentive staff took order quickly. Two starters and mains ordered all food was delicious. A 5* dining experience. We’ve been here numerous times and never disappointed.

   Great location in Durham city centre. We were a table of 5 and when we arrived, there were 2 other tables occupied upstairs. Food was standard, the service however, let the evening down, not just for our table but all of the upstairs occupied tables were kept waiting throughout the evening. We were sat for over 20 minutes before a drinks order was taken, we then had to wait another 15 minutes before the drinks arrived and two drinks were missing once they came. We were then served another tables starter and one of the orders for the main course was wrong. There were enough staff, just not efficient service or attention to the customer.

   Had a great meal, the flat iron steak is delicious and very good price. Everything is beautifully presented, and tastes as good as it looks. The only ever so slight minus was that the chips have changed. We always get the triple cooked chips and they have been in the past exceptionally good, and thick cut. Now they are skinny chips and while very good, not as good as previously. Please bring back the thick cut chips.

    Arrived about half an hour early and they were incredibly accommodating and seated us upstairs in the window with a lovely view . Food was first class as was the service. Will definitely visit again.
