   Great food! Service was unorganized. We had to ask several servers for a complete list of non-alcoholic beverages. No one knew the answer and the menu didn't list the items. Music was too loud.

   They are hidden but worth the hunt. A true Indian restaurant. The buttered chicken is full of flavor . They have 4 levels of heat. We found level 2 perfect for us. The desserts are fun and so unique to American food. My husband loves their beers (one bottle is two glasses). The Bali music is aggressive/loud ! Sadly, no carbonated water choice which good be easily fixed. The lighting is harsh so not great for romantic dates. This too could easily be fixed to improve their restaurant. If they improve their ambience it will help to Make this a great experience!

   Variety is the spice of life and you will find it here. Traditional Indian is to be had, along with interesting Asian fusion dishes. Our wait staff was very attentive and the price was fair.

    Excellent Indian food at a very reasonable price for a Devour menu. We tried two appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Halwa was a little rich, but honestly still tasty. The Chilli Chicken was very balanced with different flavors and the peppers complimented the tangy spice of the chicken nicely. The Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Jaipuri Lal Maas were both incredible. We had a blast. This might be our new favorite Indian restaurant in town and is definitely worth a bit of a drive to get out of the downtown area.

    I had enjoyed this restaurant in October when I tried it, but the service was terrible on Saturday night. We were not in a hurry, but drink, food, and dessert all took a VERY long time, and they were too busy to refill our waters. The waiters were not very polite, and they never checked to see if we needed anything (more rice, please!) The atmosphere is very loud and it is difficult to hear someone right next to you.

    We arrived at opening for dinner. Place filled and noise level increased the longer we stayed. I have to say we had the best time. We were celebrating my wife’s parents anniversary. The restaurant was recommended by a friend who said the food was fresh. And was it oh so good. Lots of flavor in every bite. Tried some new things and enjoyed my old standby dish. Will definitely be back! Our servers were awesome too!

    The quality of the food was good. Ordered Chili Chicken and Butter Chicken. But no rice came with the butter chicken. It had to be ordered at additional cost with your meal. I'm used to it being included in certain dishes.. I thought it would be nice to get a cocktail with Indian but it doesn't exist there. The cocktails had no alcohol in them. Absolutely none to be detected. I had a Cosmo and my friend had a Vodka & Tonic and we are fairly confident there were none or just a trace maybe.

    Nothing enjoyable. They sat us right by the door on a chilly night, never brought our appetizer (but tried to charge us for it), the food was bland and the lamb was chewy. No idea how this place made it on the best of Indy list

    We have been wanting to try 1947 for a while, and finally had the opportunity this past weekend (11/5/22). None of us had Indian ancestry, knew the language, or had significant experience with Indian food (but had some). In general, we thought the food was very good both in flavor and presentation. And, the restaurant had beautiful décor! Service, however, was challenging. Our server spoke English, but did not seem to understand our questions, could not make recommendations, and did not check on us after our entrees were ordered. We ordered two appetizers but only received one. When we inquired about the other with a different server who was walking by, she made sure we received the second appetizer. When trying to order entrees with the original server, he mentioned my entrée (Pahadi Tikka) would be "dry" as it was not a curry dish. When I asked what would else should I order to balance it, he did not seem to understand my questions and could not recommend anything. Similar for the rest of my party. One person's entrée was delivered 20 minutes before the rest of us received our meals, and only after we inquired about them. He then said the kitchen was "very busy," but the restaurant was only half full. While my Pahadi Tikka chicken dish had good flavor and presentation, it was not only "dry" in the no sauce sense, it was literally dry as it seemed to be cooked too long. The other entrees were very good. When trying to split the check evenly, that also presented confusion, so we then decided to put it on one check and divide between ourselves. So, overall, the food and décor are very good, but service seems to be friends and family without much (any?) server training and some with limited English skills.

    Second visit here, food authentic and very good. Very nice curry selection. The music from a party in the next room was very loud,. Nice to see happy people celebrating and the staff did all they could to moderate it while we were there. The owner was very welcoming and is a gracious host. We will look forward to returning.

    This is rightly touted as the best Indian restaurant in the city. The Dal Bukhara was as good as anything I’ve eaten New Delhi. I will return again and again.

    Delicious Indian and info-China food. Different menu than seen elsewhere with many tempting entrees. We tried both some standards and new things, and all were great. The naan was better than any I ever had and the saffron rice was delectable! Although service was a little slow and erratic, I think it was because it is so new. They definitely were trying hard to make it a good experience
