Kale salad had no kale in it, only romaine.
Felt forgotten by waitress at times, although she was really nice. Needs to wear a mask that doesn’t keep falling down.
Disappointing. I have had a great experience in previous visits but today was subpar. I was informed by the server that the QR code on the table wasn’t working and assumed she would bring me a menu but ended up asking for one when I was able to get her attention some 20 minutes later. Still had to follow up for a drink menu. Water was brought to our table promptly but not refilled, even when we asked. We were never asked if we would like another drink - until it was too late and we were ready for the bill. The food was good - that was the highlight. Service was nothing short or terrible. I’m hoping it was the servers first day or assuming she was having a really bad day as there were no other obvious reasons for the lack of attentive service.
Enjoyed the food and service, entrees were mostly traditional with some unique choices.
The food was warming not hot the lettuce and salad dried up not fresh the tomato may have been just sitting around
Wasn’t impressed at all $19.00 for the burger I asked with out bread
And what comes with it waitress said small salad or potato fries
I was charged for the salad
The waitress was amazing
Noise was very low, good spacing between tables and food was delicious.
My friend and I met at 1918 Tap & Table for a long overdue reunion and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The ambiance was perfect for a good, long chat. The service was great and the food was delicious! Highly recommend for a relaxing time with friends and/or family.
Excellent food--very good quality of steak, perfectly med.rare!!! Thanks!
At one point ,we had to "hail down" a waitress from a neighbouring table to get attention--to fill water glass and more hot water for tea and to order dessert.
It is our new favourite place - delicious food, top quality for the price.
Great service and smiles
Great food. The grown up grilled cheese is amazing.
Great happy hour on a Saturday afternoon.
I dined for the first time here with my friends for my birthday lunch, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Food and ambience were good and the staff was helpful and friendly.
I ordered the calamari (it's technically in the for starters section but it was plenty of food for me, although I'm a pretty small person). The sauce that went with it was really good and I'd definitely order it again. My friends got kale caesar salads, the friendly burger, and the smoked tomato soup and they all enjoyed their meals.
I have multiple food allergies (including peanuts, which are part of a dish they make) but felt completely safe ordering.
Our server was super friendly and attentive, and they definitely contributed to my overall positive opinion. Since it was my birthday, we dropped off a cake before our reservation and our server brought it out to us pre-sliced and with the candle lit. The staff was eager to help and very professional.
Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. The 6 of us sat at a high table and it was plenty of space, and even being near the middle of the restaurant it was quiet enough to talk. The christmas trees were also a nice touch and there was plenty of light.
We were a little confused coming from the elevator (we parked underground) and accidentally went the wrong way, but we figured it out pretty quickly.
A google review from last month said they didn't check for COVID tests, but we didn't have that problem.
To sum up, the 1918 tap and table ticked all the boxes and i'd love to come back. Definitely recommend!
Service was poor . Looked like not enough staff. Staff tried to keep up. They were friendly even so…
The noise level was high. Lots of people there….
We live in the neighborhood and appreciate such a fine place to dine.
The one thing that could be better for me is a few more gluten free options as I have a gluten allergy. I enjoyed the lentil cottage pie, it was outstanding! Even an omelet or quiche offered at lunch would suffice.
See you again soon
My husband and I went for brunch this past Sunday. We loved it, the decor was beautiful. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious!!!
We can't wait to go back and have told friends and neighbours about it and they plan on going as well.
Pretty average pub experience
It was bit noisy. We would prefer table in the corner nextto the kitchen.
One of the meals came out cold and one of the others meals came out about 10 min after everyone else at the table received there meal. There service was ok but I had to ask to have the drinks refilled
It was very nice. It was bit noisy, but other than that wonderful atmosphere. We will be back next week.
Basic brunch menu. Could add some more items that change it up. It is a really nice restaurant. Just bed to advertise more as not right in Kensington. On a Sunday it should be full like all the other restaurants that provide brunch.
Not prepared for customers coming out for dinner. Ran out of beer (coors light) and some draft products. service OK, I think new girl. But long time Legion member and would come back again
We were sitting by the window and we were all quite chilled. Other than that it was a wonderful evening. Great food and relaxed, take your time dining.
They didn’t have our reservation when we arrived so I hope that we will receive points for this outing. Very loud table next to us so fortunately we were able to move. Seemed to be out of everything we ordered even though it was only 5pm so that was disappointing. Server was very good , the saving grace!
Food was good as on previous visits but staffing is a serious problem. Our group of four with a reservation waited by the reception desk for at least ten minutes before our presence was even acknowledged by any staff member. This was a very unpleasant start to the evening.
The wings were great and the service was very pleasant. We enjoy this atmosphere.
Great place to eat. Staff was friendly, food was excellent. Overall had a wonderful time and will be back again!
Both the service and food were exceptional.
The building itself lacks ambiance and parking is limited. The food was okay, presentation was average, service was poor. I wouldn’t return as there are so many better places for the same price.
Quick lunch close to hime. Great food, clean and pleasant. Onion soup is very flavourful. My companion’s burger looked delicious! We’ll be back.
We were seated outside on the patio, as requested. Our server was very courteous and attentive, and the food was yummy. It was a great experience.
Great setup & friendly staff
Server was awesome. Good was really good!!
Big space with lots of room between tables. Has a nice outdoor patio as well. Good selection of local beers. Pub style food.
Great patio set up. I didn't realize they allow dogs o the patio. Next time I will bring mine. I appreciate the thought that went into the patio to allow dogs. Along the walls near the tables they have hooks for the leashes, they have water bowls throughout. The tables were nicely spaced out, and it was clean. The restaurant on the inside was beautiful. I had the fried chicken burger it was so good. The one guest I was with had wings, the one kind he didn't find to have enough flavor for the style of wings that they were. Otherwise all our food was great. Drink options were fantastic. Would recommend.
We love this place for relaxed atmosphere and great, friendly service. I would just ask for a chicken or not fried fish on the menu and it would be perfect.
Sat on the patio, was a bit breezy. Service was great, so was the food. Had Fish and chips, was delicious
Food and service always good.
Love the fish and chips.
Wonderful decor, atmosphere and service. Food was excellent ans would recommend!
Great food and beautiful spot to be
Excellent neighborhood pub. Good and quick service. Good pub food. Nice ambiance.
