Great Sat night dinner. Really nice vibe with a good piano player keeping the atmosphere buzzy. Food was lovely only slight criticism was the steaks were both over done. Meat was still excellent but the medium rare had little or no red! 1909 is no different from any restaurant these days in terms of prices but it was a celebration and we thoroughly enjoyed the night!!

Horrific experience for a 93rd birthday. Waiting staff were great but manager was exceptionally rude when I telephoned later to complain. Earlier he had rudely instructed my party they had to leave their table after only 75 minutes because he wanted the table for his friends!!!"! (reservation email advised table was good for much longer.) His language was foul when I called to complain and he told me he couldnt give F--k and then hung up!!! We ate their regularly since opening but never again and I can only sympathise with the owners who probably have no idea that their business is being managed by such an unprofessional and and ignorant individual!!

We ordered a medium rare fillet steak and a medium rare rib-eye. Both were well done, and both were tasteless. They were also very expensive. Our waitress was very nice, but we will never go there again, despite living 5 minutes walk away.

Staff were very friendly and attentive! Service was also very quick!We got starters and mains and the portions were very big! The fish of the day (monkfish)was absolutely delicious!

Have been many times and have never been disappointed with the food. However, on this occasion, the service was poor and we’d to ask for the bill numerous times. They seemed to be short staffed.
