We stumbled upon AceBounce making last minute dinner reservations before a show at Goodman Theater. It was a good find. We didn't have enough time to enjoy playing ping pong, but enjoyed watching others. We sat in the few tables near the kitchen and found the noise level was not bad at all (it was 7pm on a Saturday night). The food and drinks were all really great - quinoa tacos especially were a hit. I'd go back - but plan to play ping pong too next time!

Awful. Had to get up and ask a waiter to even take our order, then one entree was not cooked correctly and the chef was rude when we asked to have it corrected.

I had a great time at Ace Bounce. The food was good, the service was excellent (Go Aaron) and it was just really fun. I need to brush on my ping pong skills, but I still give Ace Bounce a 4 out of 5.

We got 30 min of ping-pong for $22 and a taco pizza that was really delicious and unique for $8 and fed 2 people. Drinks were half price or so. This was for happy hour until 7 PM on a Friday. Server checked in frequently, was nice, and brought ice water without being asked. He was helpful with his recommendations. We didn't do the sitdown we planned for.

I had higher hopes for this restaurant considering all the decent reviews and ratings online. After being seated we quickly got to ordering, I'm also in the biz, so I clearly recognized the tactics that came with wanting us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. However, to have made it so obvious really left me bothered. Both the appetizer and all entrees were fired at the same time so everything arrived to the table together, considering my entree isn't something I could eat cold I went straight for that first and the app after I was done. As I was still clearly eating and chewing my food the waiter comes and alerts me of last call and proceeds to take my plate with my utensils. Last call 40 minutes before a restaurant is closing? Ok. As we got closer to finishing up our meals we weren't offered any option for dessert, just went straight to dropping the check. Overall, the food was great.. (would've been better had it not been eaten cold) but the service was lacking. The gentleman that I assume was the manager also had a standoffish attitude, clearly this restaurant is feeling the hit of slow season considering it was empty, but if hospitality isn't your thing, then you're definitely in the wrong industry.

Really good food, but for the price, there should have been more of it. The service was the absolute worse part and the place was not busy at all. We didn't play pingpong which looked like it was fun.

Really cool looking place . The food was excellent along with the service. The prices drinks and food were on the expensive side, but on par with the area. My only complaint would be that the music was too loud, hard to hear the waiter.

Its was way too loud. We were not impressed with the food. The bar menu seemed way more the way to go. Also, we thought the restaurant was separate...as in, in another room. The music was good, but it was so loud, we could not talk. We liked the mac n cheese. I had thought all day about the potential of the Loaded Glazed Donuts and was so unimpressed, I didn't eat more than half of one and asked the waiter to take them off. The staff was working really hard and super friendly. Ping Pong party all day. Pre dinner or post dinner, but eat some where else. Or go with apps and bar menu.

Surprised my husband with Sunday brunch and he loved the atmosphere of pingpong and shuffleboard play. The food was creative and it was SO much fun trying all the tapas and munchies. The pizza was the best part and we both loved the oatmeal creme brulee. The bottomless mimosas and bloody marys were nice but could use more orange juice. Everyone at Acebounce was SO nice and waited on us very well. I have a mobility issue and they were very accommodating to my situation. Unfortunately, if you are disabled or use an assistive device the building the restaurant is in is NOT disability-friendly. Not the restaurant's fault but they need to pressure the landlord to make sure that elevator is working during business hours. We had a great time and we were glad we visited AceBounce and enjoyed their Bottomless brunch.

Went before a show at the Goodman. It is primarily a bar/ping pong palace with limited dining tables, so it is not quiet. I had the skirt steak which was well prepared. My husband had the scallops. Our friend had the salmon. Meal was very good. We split the apple salad which was enough for 2. Our friends had the fried mushrooms which were delicious. Interesting craft cocktails. Next time will book a ping pong table.

We were just eating at 1901, the small restaurant part of AceBounce, but I would be interested in coming back to play some ping pong. The ping pong/bar area was very busy--good happy hour crowd. The food was decent and it would be easy to order some of the bar food and shared plates while playing a game.

We enjoyed our meal at 1901! The food was creative and excellently prepared by a great chef! Portions are just right and the prices were cost friendly as a Theater Fixe Prix meal. All the food was plated beautifully. Great job! The only disadvantage is it is connected with AceBounce, a ping pong hall. The noise level is loud and so it is difficult to have a "quiet conversation." However, we enjoyed a game of ping pong before dinner and enjoyed the energy of the evening.

It's a fun place for drinks and games. Cocktails were very good. The pizza was good, crispy and hot with good amount of toppings. Unfortunately, the Lobster Gougeres was disappointing. They weren't served as puffs, but flat hard disks of dough with tasteless, finely chopped cold lobster. Not sure if they even put the foie gras tourchon on there, but if they did, it was tasteless too. Not worthy of the $18 price...at all. We were never asked how we enjoyed the dish, so we let it go. Our server got overwhelmed with a large table and out service tapered off as a result. Not really his fault, just the circumstances but maybe they should have a helper or manager cover. We'll go back, but more for the games and less for the dining.

We left immediately after we got there — that is no place for fine dining! It was SO LOUD! It's in the same room as a bunch of ping pong tables, and you couldn't hear each other talk. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and they looked miserable. (I had to rate one star on each of the dining experiences because there wasn't a "not applicable" option)

Second time here. First was a work function. Couldn't wait to come back to eat here. The food is excellent. Very good menu. The chef actually took the time to talk about how some items were prepared and certain ingredients. Staff is very cool and accommodating and on point. Carlos was our waiter both times. He was great and Johnny on the spot with drinks ("every twelve Minutes").

The food was good, and it was fun watching everyone play ping pong. It was extremely loud but that is to be expected. But one thing I did not understand is that when we first arrived we were told it would be at least a half an hour, probably an hour for a table, but open table had openings within 15 minutes of the time. Also, there were not a lot of people sitting and eating so I'm not sure why we were told it would be so long....

We thought it would be a good place to play some family ping pong and gather for a casual meal. Had stopped by late afternoon and on a Sunday afternoon before and did not notice loud music. We arrived for early Friday evening dinner with family including baby grandson and it was just too loud to enjoy. We ate - decent food but oddly undercooked bacon wrapped dates (sent back and returned still undercooked). Stick with basics - pizza was good. Unable to take advantage of Ping Pong due to music level.

Enjoyed the "active" environment and watching ping pongers. The service was top notch. Menu variety was very strong for this type of restaurant, even on the "creative" side. Our pizza crust was a little overdone, but overall the food was good and the price was very reasonable for Chicago.

I am in LOVE with this place, and that's not good. I have been there FOUR times in a month...that's ridiculous! From the pepperoni meatballs to the incredible Green Acres - squash with roasted peppers and hummus to the "slap yo' momma" Cameron Farms Chicken with its addictive spiced honey sauce to the...as I affectionately call it "chicken fat" pizza (real name - Crispy Chicken Skin) that is insane! You can't leave without dessert and for me, that's either the Loaded Doughnut Holes with the bacon and hot fudge sauce or the Tropical Cheesecake with macadamia nuts and pineapple. No, they didn't pay me but I really could be a spokesperson by now. :) Chef Rick - you are the man!
