We had Ashley as our guest server and she was wonderful. We really enjoyed our experience. Was a little louder than we like but was still fun.
Steaks were great as were the appetizers.
Good food, good service. A little cold and loud.
Our server, Sig, was absolutely amazing. So kind and thoughtful. Good food and great wine. Many thanks!
This was the first time my wife and I dined at 190. We were very pleased with one exception. The cole slaw was too little and disappointing quality. Might just as well not included it. The remainder of our meals was excellent. The young lady, who waited on us was warmly friendly and attentive. She provided very good service. I have recommended 190 to several friends.
In this third attempt, we left prior to ordering dinner. Prior visits had similar poor to very poor service. Sad since the food is good to great. But this is not trying to replicate European 2 hour experience, we waited for 20 minutes to receive drinks ordered, at that point we left. We continued to visit in hopes the service had improved but it has not.
Food was great! Kind of expensive for what you got but it was Valentine’s Day so probably a little inflated
Service was good save for the time she took silverware between courses and forgot to bring more twice.
It was Valentine’s Day so it was quite busy. The food was great but the service was not good. The waiter left the water pitcher on our table. There was no offer of bread with the meal. There was a VERY long delay between drink order and food which, given how busy it was , was OK. The main courses were wonderful including the desert.
The server presented the check before asking about coffee and then served cold coffee. The price was pretty breathtaking with one mixed drink and one glass of wine and it still came to near $300.
The place was packed and there was really no privacy. I would go back again but not for a special day like Valentine’s Day. Too crowded, too expensive and too packed to be romantic
This was my 3rd time visiting and I’ve always been very happy. This time we had a new server, Ben, who was awesome!!!
This is one of my favorite places! The food is nothing short of amazing and the cocktails are delicious. Most restaurants have a signature Brussel Sprouts dish these days. 190’s happens to be the best. And... the Brussel Wilson Bloody Mary is a must for brunch. The service is always wonderful. I highly recommend!
Everything thing was fantastic! Sig our server was top notch. They were really busy and we told her right off the bat that we were enjoying our time and will order our courses spaced out. She was perfect, checking on us but not too much. She even let us know that ticket times were an hour which was perfect. Only only thing I can complain is the three other friends i was with orders the prime rib which was excellent but both tier mashed potatoes and veggies were cold. We didn’t let them know because it wasn’t that big of a deal. We were foresee on the protein and beverages :) will definitely be back
Food was great and service was good, but the noise level wa out the roof. There was a group of 6 of us for a 6:45 dinner on a Sat nite. Restaurant was mostly full. There was piped in music and TV’s we’re on by the bar. The general noise level was so high that we could only hear the person sitting next to us. We could not even hear the person directly across the table.
Great food. Slow service.
Wonderful staff, food and ambiance. The service can be slow, bar or restaurant. Still, worth it. Just go when not in a hurry.
We've been here several times and always enjoy it. If you can score a table on the patio, you're in luck! but inside is lovely too. The drinks are good, the food is delicious (the Brussels sprouts are to die for!) and the ambiance is just the right mix of swanky and comfortable to suit any occasion. We've gone for a celebration, to meet old friends and once just to stop by for a cocktail and those Brussels sprouts. Every time it's been just what we were in the mood for.
Kitchen was a bit slow, but the food and service were great.
I used to not like 190 Sunset. They changed my mind tonight. Great service. Appropriate sized portions. Good was well thought out and tasted delightful.
Thank you to our recent WSU grad who was our server and your event manager! She was fabulous and took care of our dinner with our co workers with grace.
The food was delicious, the staff attentive, and the noise level a bit loud for everyone in our group.
My husband and I are always looking for a nice place to go for breakfast that caters to my vegetarian needs while offering him plenty of meat options. We have been to 190 sunset a few times and unfortunately the only thing on the menu that I can eat are pancakes or grilled cheese. We decided to go again on Saturday 01/05/20019 but time I asked to have just a side of potatoes sauteed with vegetables and some cheese. They arrived with no cheese (which is no big deal) and were basically potatoes with barely recognizable veggies (such a small amount you could only see a bit of green or red here and there). They were good don't get me wrong but when the bill arrived I was shocked to see I was charged $15 (the same price as the Quinoa Hash which has veggies, quinoa AND two eggs). I loved our server so I didn't say anything but the more I thought about it the more angry I was charged $15 for what were essentially a cup of potatoes. Not sure I'll be visiting 190 Sunset again sadly.
To be fair, we've been here many times, so this review will be JUST this last visit: It is loud, exciting, inviting, fun, full, and really good. But you need to be in the mood to be around others and have it loud. So I love it when I feel like having bites and beers (with a shot) in the bar. But the seating is kind of crowded and its hard to hear the person across the table from you. So, not so good for conversation or romance.
But it's very good.
It took a long time to get drinks this visit. But after that, everything went swell.
I think 190 is a bit overpriced for Edmonds and we would be here much more often if it was $ instead of $$. But they mix in some good values among the "overpriced" items. Fri - Sunday they do Prime Rib for $33 and that, my friend, is a good value because it is D.E.L.Icious!
The pasta and risotto are good options to stay out of the $40 dinner range as well.
But everything on the appie menu is now over $12. The cocktails are pricey too, although Niles, the Barkeep may be the best around.
So, still recommend, but wish the price creep and server turnover were not killing my enthusiasm.
Good food, great service, and an enjoyable time was had by all. Thank you.
We always enjoy coming to 190 Sunset. The food is always great and we enjoy conversing with the staff. Got to meet the owner on New Year’s Eve and so personable and charming. One of our favorite places since we moved to Edmonds.
190 Sunset is consistently good with food quality and service. Wine by the glass selection is superior to most restaurants in the Seattle area and portions more generous. Gluten Free options are few but good.
We were both cold, and underwhelmed by our food. It wasn't bad but it was overpriced at best. Service was great though.
Our favorite neighborhood gem! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was good . Service was interesting. We first got served two of the same meals even though we had planned on sharing and then they came and took one away even though we had already began eating. We then had to flag down someone to order more and pay our bill.
We were treated promptly and efficiently on our 64th anniversary. The food was excellent. I was a little loud but not disturbingly so. It is just fun to watch people as they interact and respond to others. they were well staffed for a busy Saturday evening. JLL
Filet was great and I'd recommend the non-alcoholic mojitos...
Our 2nd visit, and we invited friends to join along. Service was amazing and the food was outstanding! Husband had pork chop and was not disappointed and I had baseball sirloin which was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Seasoning was superb.
As usual, food selection and quality was good. Had the French fries not been soggy, all would have been excellent
Time for our food to arrive and service in general was very slow. Waitstaff offered to refill drinks and never brought the refill. Noise level was so loud inside I could only converse with person on either side, not the rest of our 6 person table.
Other than that - we enjoyed our food and the location!
Our food was outstanding. However our server (Ashley?) was an issue. My brother-in-law tapped her on the back to jokingly show her some glasses he had put on. It really flustered her however as she was trying to take an order. She turned around and was clearly angry and told my brother-in-law that she did not appreciate him “slapping” her. My husband told her that her behavior was inappropriate and she apologized. Her response negatively impacted our experience and we quickly left. We had never experienced a server lashing out like that at a customer.
Delicious food, the whole environment was great! I wish they had more vegan options.
Wonderful Santa!! Thank you!! Very personable server. Looking forward to our next visit!
Consistently great food and service. Wonderful environment!
The family was in town, so we treated everyone to (another) wonderful evening at Sunset! A fabulous meal, and I had an amazing drink! Actually...several amazing drinks!!
I have always enjoyed this restaurant but this last visit left such a bad taste in my mouth I doubt I’ll be back. It took 1.5 hours to get our food. We only were able to enjoy one glass of wine because the server literally never checked in on us. She forgot our appetizer and when we asked about it she apologized but said if she put the order in then there would be no way for us to get it by the time our dinner came. From sit down to the time we left was over 2 hours and even after our obvious disappointment with the overall experience all we were offered was a quick apology from our server. It was a busy night in town with the tree lighting, but the restaurant should have known this and staffed accordingly.
We went out to get away from holiday foods, and found the experience here was very nice. I had been for lunch before, and brought my husband for him to try it out. He had the prime rib with delicious whipped potatoes and broccoli. I had the pasta with lobster and swine. Delicious and very filling. I brought half of it home to enjoy another time.
It is cozy and warm in the restaurant, and the fire pits were lit in the patio, we will definitely come back again.
Absolutely amazing thanksgiving dinner!
