We enjoyed our experience at Sunset 190. The restaurant was not at all crowded for our brunch on Sunday @ 10:30am. The menu had an array of options, from traditional breakfasts (eggs, bacon, biscuit), to more trendy selections (quinoa bowl with egg). I got the salmon hash which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.
The best part of the experience was the server who had a bubbly personality, and was not afraid to share all of his (at times hilarious) points of view on things.
I will be returning again.
Our server was fantastic, and the food was great. It was very noisy, which made conversation difficult, even after our great server turned down the music for us.
I'm so happy to see Vegan options on your menu. I would love to see more plant based options in every section of the menu. Thanks!
Always a great place for dinner or some happy hour drinks and bites. One of our favorite go-to places.
Food was good, except skip the prime rib if it's the end of the night. It was tough. Server exchanged it for something else with no issue. Out good came out really fast, which we would have preferred a little better timing, felt a bit rushed. Good service overall. Ambiance is pretty loud and feels like more of a later night spot.
Very accommodating and our waitstaff was outstanding. Food was amazing as usual.
Great place to meet and eat friends. Food is good, especially the Sunday Chicken Dinner!
There is two separate dining areas now. I’ve always enjoyed going here but last night they sat us in a room that felt like a school cafeteria. Very drab with a totally different vibe than the other area of the restaurant. Very disappointed in the night.
Overpriced. Terrible atmosphere. Never coming back
So sorry to hear of your experience! I am going to message you privately in hopes of gathering some more information. Tom Budinick Owner
Well prepared for a Valentine's day crowd. Food and staff were excellent! Would highly recommend!
The special Valentine menu was very nice. We shared the Chateaubriand for two and it was excellent. They were able to make more space for the evening by using a space next door. Not as nice an ambiance but they worked to make it nice. Service, food and wine were excellent and the owner walked around and checked in on us. Very nice touch. We women had a very lovely and delicious dinner for “Galantines”.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Enjoyed ourself. Food was great. Cheers!
Food as always was delish
In spite of making our reservation almost a month in advance we were seated in an auxiliary room apart from the main restaurant dining room. The only attempt at decoration for Valentine's Day was a single rose on the table so the setting was more industrial than romantic. I had mentioned on our reservation that my wife was allergic to uncooked sprouts and micro greens but they did appear on her appetizer (to be fair, when it was brought to their attention they comped her appetizer.) Very nice martinis and the food and service were excellent.
When food was served it was at best like warm. We told waiter about it and finally 20 minutes later got our food. The salmon was good and cooked well which was good because I was really hungry after waiting so long My husband had the vegetarian squash with quinoa that was ridiculously priced for what is was. The waiter came and delivered our bill and gave no credit for our inconvenience the bill looked like it had already been run through credit card machine so we asked the hostess who said she’d meant to make an adjustment to our bill for $15. I really thought at least one of the meals should of been taken off our bill. Very disappointing for a valentines night meal. We won’t be back
We always love our meals at 190 Sunset. The food is always great and service spot on. It is our Edmonds favorite dining go to, whether it's a casual meal or special occasion.
Food was great, service was impeccable. Cocktails were perfect. Ambiance and noise was just right.
Food was great, service was great, noise level was deafening. Bread is served upon request, with delicious garlic herb butter, for $5 extra.
Enjoyed our dinner. Service was very good and noise level was loud but not irritating. I had the pork chop. It had good flavor but not outstanding. It was cooked a little longer than I would have preferred so it was a little dry. The mashed potatoes had no flavor
My wife had a salad which she enjoyed
The scallops appetizer was excellent.
The menus seemed to me to be a little limited to me. Kale Caesar salad👎When is the kale fad going to end two steaks on the menu but they both have the same red wine demiglaze. To me prices were high for what they serve
Great food. Great service. Noisy neighbors.
Went for a thank-you dinner, first time. Service was excellent, even through the Sat.night rush. Scallop appetizer dreamy, short ribs fork tender and ample. Sides all well prepared. Loved it all.
The salmon I ordered was excellent! The vegetables were very overcooked but great server! My husband had the pork chop and said it was one of the best he'd had.
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Awesome drinks
I was disappointed with the vegetarian options. I got the squash, but it wasn't great--lacking flavor. The kale served with it was so outstanding that I asked for more of that.
Our server, was very attentive and helpful.
My husband said that it is tough to cook a NY steak to perfection, but his was very good, he said.
We miss the old menu
Our service was great. The appetizers were delicious The main courses were just okay. Next time I think I would just get all appetizers. We sat at a table in the room with the bar. The music was really loud and also didn’t seem to match the clientele which I found a little odd. People were having to talk over the music all around us and it was hard to have a conversation at our own table. The service was spot on and our server was snarky and fabulously fun. He and the others made the dinner a better experience.
Our family went out to dinner last minute and our waiter Ben made it the best evening EVER!
Ben not only helped with recommendations but he also helped in so many other ways when it comes to dining out with a 2yr old and 5 yr old. We were so pleased with the service everything else just fell into place.
THANK YOU Ben!
Food is always good, but service wasn’t great. It’s very noisy and I don’t think the waiter heard the orders correctly.
We visit family in Edmonds several times a year and always plan a “date night” for my husband and me at 190 Sunset. The patio is great in summer, and in other weather the restaurant is very appealing. Service is friendly and professional. Our meals have been well prepared and presented. AND they have the best Brussels sprouts appetizer.
It's a great place to go. Our experience Everytime we go is outstanding,I recommend it highly
I arrived for an early dinner on Christmas Eve and found the atmosphere quite pleasant upon my arrival and initially. I started with a cocktail, then ordered the crab cakes, followed by the filet mignon and then finished with an after dinner cocktail. The food was not exceptional, but it was quite good. Steak was cooked to perfection.
As the restaurant became busier it got very noisy. I didn't care of the acoustics that seemed to echo the noise of the patrons as they got busier.
I would eat here again, & would recommend it, although it is quite pricey for this fixed income senior. This occasion was part of my Christmas present to myself and I can't say I was disappointed.
We had a reservation at 7:00 but showed up early. They asked us to wait in the hall outside the restaurantant. We asked if we could go in the bar and they said yes. There were lots of empty tables.
Kid’s we’re in town for Christmas
Consistent quality dinner very nice atmosphere. A bit loud could use better acoustics.
Risotto was bland and tasted like the mushrooms were from a can. Very disappointed.
It was good but not great. I know it's very popular so I had high expectations. First, we had reservations and they tried very hard to seat us at the worst table in the place. We declined. Then, my specialty cocktail was good but the first martini glass was only about 1/2 to 2/3 full. I didn't think much of it till I noticed everyone around me had full to the brim, and my 2nd cocktail was also to the brim. So I wondered if they spilled the first and just didn't bother to fix it. And then the food. It was good but not great. This goes for both our meals. The app (calimari) was great. We might be back for happy hour and the ambiance but there are better options in Edmonds where we come away feeling a little better about how the establishment respected us as customers.
My experience dining at 190 Sunset was excellent as always. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
Brian, thanks for the kind words and so sorry about the parking ticket-The building owner did NOT intend tickets to be issued for any of the restaurant patrons-rather only for those thought to park and walk on the ferry. Please take a picture of the ticket and text it to me and I will take care of it! So glad that you enjoyed your dinning experience and look forward to having you back soon! We went for brunch. The Eggs Benedict was good, but the rest of the food was horrible and wasn't what the menu described. I thought to myself when first seated i would come back for Happy Hour or dinner, but won't be coming back. The bill was very VERY large for what we got. We ended up sending a dish back and still had the biggest brunch bill ever. We ended up eating a couple things and going down the street for our real brunch... The 2nd brunch was half the price and better quality!
Ryan, so very sorry to hear about your experience. I am also going to contact you privately in hope of obtaining additional information on what you ordered. Thanks in advance of responding. Tom Budinick Owner
Had fun with friends. Shared some appetizers and had some wine. Just a little surprised by our bill but it appeared to be correct. Very nice server!
The service and food were great. Flavors were well balanced and portion sizes were moderate. The one thing my group did not like was the music. It was too loud and distracting.
